Tong Songlin had been on edge these past few days. Ji Niandong had already woken up and rembered what happened in Paris, but the lack of any movent was making her increasingly uneasy.

Ji Niandong, having mostly recovered, was preparing for discharge. Lu Beichen was handling the discharge papers, and she was holding Little Bun’s face, quietly waiting in the ward. The mother and son looked extrely relaxed.
Tong Songlin barged in and grabbed her by the arm. Her arrival was so sudden and abrupt that Little Bun’s face was jerked out of Ji Niandong’s embrace.
"Co with right away, imdiately!" Tong Songlin took a deep breath, grateful they were in the sa hospital.
"What are you trying to do? Let go of !" Ji Niandong felt she was up to no good, grabbed onto the bedside, clinging with all her might, trying to break free. But Tong Songlin’s eyes were red, seemingly determined to drag her away.
"Where are you trying to take my mom?" Little Bun’s face stepped in front of Ji Niandong, trying to help push away, but Tong Songlin roughly shoved him aside with one hand.
Ji Niandong was startled, seeing Little Bun fall into Lu Beichen’s arms, she breathed a sigh of relief.
With a grim expression, Lu Beichen stepped forward, grabbing and twisting Tong Songlin’s arm that held Ji Niandong, the sound of bones creaking was loud, "You dare to co here and confront them?"
Lu Beichen instinctively shielded the little woman in his embrace. Since her awakening, she hadn’t spoken of anything, behaving as if everything was normal. Lu Beichen had privately consulted the doctors; they were unsure if she rembered the events in Paris. For now, he feared she hadn’t recalled and only wanted to protect her well.
