An Lin was startled into freezing right where she was. She had originally just co out for a casual walk, not expecting to overhear their argunt.
That’s how she stumbled upon this scene!
Tong Ji Yuan glanced at her, then directly blocked Tong Songbai, "Are you sure you want to shoot here?"
Tong Songbai retracted the gun, thoughtfully looking at An Lin not far away, "I rember you had a girlfriend when you were in college, but then it all fizzled out."
Hearing this made Tong Ji Yuan a bit flustered, "There’s no need for you to know so much about my affairs!"
Tong Songbai let out a cold laugh, "Jiyuan! This is your uncle giving you one last chance, to live your life properly!"
His words had deeper aning, and Tong Ji Yuan pursed his lips, remaining silent, only for Tong Songbai to turn and leave.
As soon as he left, Tong Ji Yuan went over and helped An Lin up. He grasped her shoulders and took a deep breath, "Didn’t I tell you to stay upstairs with An’an and not wander around? Why are you here?"
He suddenly shouted, and An Lin trembled in fear. She had never seen Tong Ji Yuan like this; even when he abandoned her back then, he still spoke sweetly.
"An Lin, even though I love you deeply, I think it’s better for us to separate!"
"An Lin, I want both you and the child, but now isn’t the right ti!"
He always spoke softly and sweetly, yet his actions were like a sharp sword piercing her heart.
But right now, amidst his near hysterical shouting, she... couldn’t help but throw herself into his arms.
Tong Ji Yuan was completely taken aback, letting her lean against him, holding him.
"Tong Ji Yuan, over all these years, have you ever truly loved ?" An Lin asked word by word, her voice seeming to drift away.
Tong Ji Yuan clenched his fists without answering. Almost a minute later, he finally said, "I’ll secretly send you and An’an abroad. After everything is settled, I’ll bring you back!"
After saying this, he pushed An Lin away, but she held onto him tightly, refusing to let go, "Tong Ji Yuan, haven’t you been saying you love every day? Is it so hard to say it now?"
Tong Ji Yuan remained stoic, his fists clenched even tighter, trembling slightly.
"I used to think I understood you, but then I discovered I never really knew you. Even now as you stand before , saying you’re thinking of , I’m not sure if you truly love !" An Lin was already sobbing uncontrollably, "Ah Yuan, if back then when you wanted to break up you had told you wanted revenge for your father, do you think I wouldn’t have understood?"
An Lin lifted her head to look at him, and Tong Ji Yuan simply closed his eyes.
"Back then, you didn’t even give a reason for the breakup!"
She had searched for him for many days, missing all her announcents, but he always avoided her. Later, one rainy night, she waited until she fainted on the ground before he showed up.
At that ti, he said with a faint smile, "An Lin, aren’t we over? Although I really liked you, if you’re trying to win sympathy like this, we can’t get back together. It’s over, don’t make feel sorry anymore!"
Seeing his indifferent expression, An Lin struggled to climb up from the ground, almost resolute, asking, "Tong Ji Yuan, I only ask you, do you not want anymore?"
He didn’t answer.

"Yes! I never really wanted you!"
