Although she was still reluctant, when it ca to discussing the marriage, Tu ijiao still went.

When they arrived, the Li Family had already been waiting at the hotel for a while, showing how serious they were.

From a distance, Tu ijiao locked her gaze on her future daughter-in-law, and sure enough, she saw Li Siru sitting quietly to one side.

The young girl looked very young, and indeed, she resembled Li ngru quite a bit. If it wasn’t for Lu Beiyao’s previous refusal to get engaged, she could have believed that her son was marrying the similar younger sister out of deep love.

Upon closer inspection, Li Siru appeared more delicate and gentle, looking extrely well-behaved.

Perhaps the Li Family didn’t pay much attention to this second daughter, so she wasn’t as poised as Li ngru, but she seed like an honest child.

Despite wearing light makeup, she looked very haggard, likely due to her sister’s passing.

Tu ijiao stared at her for a few monts before taking her seat.

After so pleasantries between the two families, Mr. Li nudged Li Siru to greet them, and it was like she just woke up from a dream, "Hello, uncle and aunt!"

After she spoke, she lowered her head again, looking completely lifeless.

Tu ijiao frowned slightly, was it too much sadness, or did she lack the ability to handle the situation?

Lu Beiyao spoke directly, "Let’s set the wedding date. However your Li Family wants to do the wedding, we’ll cooperate."

"I won’t marry!" Li Siru then raised her head to look at Lu Beiyao.

Lu Beiyao curled his lips, "It’s not up to you!"

Mr. Li chuckled awkwardly, "Beiyao, it’s just that she..."

"Grandpa, I made it very clear to you. We’re here today to discuss the wedding! If it doesn’t work out, does your Li Family still want to operate in the business world?"

Tu ijiao and Lu Xinguo exchanged looks, wasn’t this wrong? It seed like their son was forcing the marriage.

"Beiyao, am I misunderstanding sothing?" Tu ijiao asked.

"No misunderstanding. Since you haven’t set a date, I’ve picked one. Next Monday is an auspicious day suitable for marriage. Also, since ngru’s body is not yet cold, there will be no wedding ceremony. Do you have any objections?" Lu Beiyao asked directly.

Mr. Li stiffly nodded, and Li Minghui and his wife also expressed their agreent. Tu ijiao, knowing her son, understood that what he was determined to do, he would get done. So, what’s really going on?

They said they were discussing the marriage, but it was settled so hastily!

As soon as Tu ijiao got in the car, she asked her son, "Beiyao, what are you really up to? I see that the Li Family isn’t very willing to marry Li Siru to you, and I’m not particularly keen on having that second daughter-in-law as your wife. She seems like an honest kid, but does it have to be forced?"

"Seems like?" Lu Beiyao chuckled, "In any case, co next Monday, you and dad just drink a bowl of daughter-in-law tea, and the wedding will be considered done."

"Discussing the marriage so hastily, how can the wedding be so simple? Beiyao, you’re the eldest son of the Lu Family, you can’t just settle it like this. Those who don’t know might think you’re marrying Li Siru because you have a grudge against her!"

Tu ijiao said casually, and Lu Beiyao remained silent.

She was startled, "Are you really marrying her because you have a grudge? Why would you marry her if you have a grudge? Would you put your marriage on the line?"

"Mom, didn’t you really want to compete with Lu Beichen for YT?"

Tu ijiao’s eyes lit up.

"As long as you don’t interfere with any of my romantic relationships, I’ll do as you wish!"
