David, of course, could not possibly change his established itinerary just to seek out a teacher nad Attilicia.

Even though Teacher Attilicia’s guidance indeed had a substantial influence on the speed of his initial wealth accumulation.

Nevertheless, the sowhat baffling plea from the Duke of Silver just before departure still left David with a touch of confusion. Why, he wondered, was the Duke of Silver so certain that he would encounter Priest Attilicia on his return journey, and even ask him to prevent her from doing sothing ’foolish’?

However, considering she was a High Elf who might have lived for centuries and was capable of casting prophecy school spells like "Divination" or "Prophecy," it wasn’t entirely surprising.

But whether it was the fourth-circle "Divination" or "Prophecy," or any other prophetic spells in this world, under the interference of the torrents of ti, they couldn’t provide absolutely certain answers. Instead, their results were brief, ambiguous, and frustratingly required personal interpretation.

This was also why many prophecy school spellcasters adept at divination were often dismissed as charlatans and shunned.

But what kind of act would even the Duke of Silver deem foolish?

David, who had just replicated the Sobering Potion in a single day and steadily improved its quality over the following half-month, suddenly slapped his forehead as a possibility struck him:

Could it be that Teacher Attilicia genuinely mistook him for that one-in-a-million alchemy genius? So much so that she would abandon her reputation to intercept him on his way ho and ’kidnap’ him, taking him on as her final disciple?

HISS... Thinking like this, she really might resort to force against !

Arrogance

But just imagining the ek and gentle Priest Attilicia attempting to feign composure while masquerading as a bandit...

That sowhat dissonant image nearly made David want to laugh.

Because even though Priest Attilicia was a high-ranking Mage capable of casting the 7th-ring spell "Control Celestials," she really didn’t strike David as soone proficient in combat.

Ever since transmigrating, David had faced, or even fought against, quite a few ’powerful beings.’

Whether it was Hiatt of the Drow from his earliest encounters, later the Ogre Mona, the Highland Barbarian Rosinde, the High Elf Yevgeny, or the young female Green Dragon Nifadora.

Regardless of their strength, their initial impression on David—that so-called ’aura’ or ’presence’ one read about in novels from his past life—was entirely different.

Even the weakest among them, the Ogre Mona, exuded a rough, savage, and bloody aura, yet one that combined calmness with ferocity.

As for who had exerted the most pressure on him, it was undoubtedly Dragon Mother Pafila, whom he had encountered right after transmigrating!

At the ti, she had nearly scared him into fleeing the Old Continent imdiately.

To this day, David hadn’t encountered anyone whose presence surpassed Dragon Mother Pafila’s; none were even worthy to carry her shoes.

Therefore, in David’s assessnt, even though Priest Attilicia was indeed a high-ranking Mage and a young Silver Dragon, as an expert in potions, her direct combat prowess likely relied on high-ring spells to overwhelm warriors like Hiatt and Yevgeny, who needed to close the distance to pose a lethal threat.

Whether she could even restrain, let alone bully, Rosinde—an exceptional Barbarian whom David himself had granted [Endless Rage], and whose power had been witnessed and blessed by the other four Dragons and even by Tiamat, the Chromatic Dragon Queen—was another question entirely.

So, it wasn’t that David looked down on Priest Attilicia.

Even estimating generously, considering Attilicia was a young Silver Dragon, her combat power was probably on par with the young female Green Dragon Nifadora.

And that was without even considering the Green Dragon’s Drow-like cunning and her exceptional fighting abilities.

Thinking this, David felt an inexplicable surge of confidence.

If Priest Attilicia really dares to ambush midway, HEH, then she can’t bla for taking her straight back to the Dragon Nest camp on the Old Continent for a visit.

The young dragons at the Dragon Nest camp happen to be short of a magic teacher, anyway.

He figured Priest Attilicia might not excel in other areas, but she was likely quite proficient in teaching and nurturing dragons.

I could even teach her alchemy in our spare ti. That would fulfill Priest Attilicia’s wish to take as her disciple, wouldn’t it?

As for the Duke of Silver, while David had promised to persuade Priest Attilicia to return to her territory, he hadn’t specified *when* she had to return.

I wouldn’t be too excessive. Just... help teach on the Old Continent for, say, two? Three? Or perhaps five years.

After all, one was a Silver Dragon and the other a High Elf; both were long-lived species. Five years to them would probably feel like a single autumn to humans.

Who knows, perhaps the distance might even help those two—who’d been entangled in their emotions for who knows how long—to deepen their feelings for each other.

And so, he made his decision happily.

However, right up until David and his party stepped into the passage leading to the Gloomy Region, there was no sign of Priest Attilicia.

This left David, whose grand plans—so ambitious they might as well have been flaunted before Dragon Mother on the Old Continent—had now co to nothing, feeling thoroughly disappointed.

To ensure the upcoming trade proceeded smoothly, he once again used the Power of Jealousy to revert to his original form—

A Red Dragon with distinctive triangular dragon wings.

After all, this was the Gloomy Region, and their destination was the infamously notorious Spider Nest City—or more precisely, one of its Wei Cities.
