In a daze, David seed to hear a series of crisp knocking sounds and a gentle, whispering call.

Once his thoughts cleared, he suddenly felt as if he was about to suffocate. So, he followed his body’s instinct and pushed upwards.

CRACK.

He was greedily gulping fresh air after erging from his "warm nest." Just as he began to feel the chill of the cold wind on his head, his body was swept up by sothing.

David struggled to pry open his eyes; they felt as if they’d been sealed shut with superglue.

Then, he was utterly dumbfounded.

For a mont, he thought he saw two mountains towering before him. It took him a long mont to realize that the creatures before him appeared to be dragons—one gold, and one silver.

Holy shit, have I transmigrated?

The mont David "realized" this, a vast torrent of information from the Dragon’s Inheritance flooded his mind. Then, from his small mouth, he blurted out a long string of syllables that could tentatively be called a na:

"David Euthyphro Ximor Krupskaya..."

Hearing David’s fluent recital—his "naming ceremony" of sorts—the Gold Dragon and Silver Dragon exchanged a relieved and gratified smile.

His Gold Dragon father then raised the stupefied David to his brow, proclaiming to the tal Dragons waiting with bated breath across the lands:

"This is the first child of I, Landis, and Tamara!

"He will soon inherit the title of North Wind Dragon King and beco the sovereign of you, the tal Dragon Race!

"Celebrate this!

"Rejoice!

"My people!"

As cheers echoed like a mountain chorus through the valleys, David still hadn’t processed his transmigration to this other world. He then seed to faintly hear a familiar BGM in his mind: a grand, swelling chorus with lyrics that sounded incredibly majestic, if a bit nonsensical, culminating in a distinct ’Chihuahua~’.

Yes, on this day, he, David—no, he, Ximor, the Silver Dawn—was born.

He was the first son of Landis, the Scales of Justice, and Tamara, the Lady of rcy. He was a tal Dragon born having already awakened a fraction of divine power. His scales were neither gold nor silver. To be more precise, Platinum was the most fitting description. He was a... Platinum Dragon.

Although he had transmigrated into a dragon and didn’t seem to have the ’golden finger’ often described in online novels, David had no opportunity to complain; he was utterly overwheld by a series of ’reincarnation’ gift packs. His parents were both Dragon Gods who walked the mortal realm. He himself was born having already awakened divine power. Before he, as a hatchling dragon, had even been gently set down from his father Landis’s claws, he began to receive Divine Artifacts and mountainous piles of treasure. These gifts were presented by Dragon Gods from every direction and by thousands of legendary Dragon Lords from all corners of the world. With this ultimate-plus version of a True Dragon Long Aotian background, what more could one possibly ask for?! Having resigned himself to his fate on the spot, David thus began what was destined to be an incredibly glorious life.

However, David had only just used his new draconic body, with senses far exceeding human limits, to enjoy a single al of exquisite delicacies that nearly made him swallow his own tongue. After waking from a deep, sated slumber, he found himself being led by the Claws of Justice to the Glacier Plains, under his mother Tamara’s sowhat reluctant gaze.

There, a full twelve tal Dragon tutors were already eagerly awaiting him.

David had a vague feeling: Perhaps being a second-generation Dragon God isn’t as easy as I imagined...

From that day forward, David began his ’hellish’ learning journey. It was, quite frankly, hell.

In his previous life as a human, after a day of school and howork, he at least had so ti to play and sleep. That was because humans, after all, have their limits. This life, however... he had turned straight into a 007 workaholic!

Etiquette, history, magic, doctrine, strategy, Martial Techniques—the list went on and on. Apart from necessary al tis, the twelve giant dragon tutors rotated through twelve subjects in relentless succession. This continued until it was ti for him to enter a deep slumber.

To David’s utter astonishnt, even when he was sleeping, his father Landis wasn’t prepared to let him off the hook! Landis guided him in his dreams, making him study and learn the ancestral skills of the Dragon Race through the Dragon’s Inheritance. David was absolutely flabbergasted.

Many tis, similar thoughts would surface: With my inherited talents, I’m bound to beco a Dragon God in the future. Is it really necessary to push myself this hard? This is dragon-level insanity!

Only as ti passed and his history lessons progressed did David gradually begin to understand. It truly was necessary. Because the tal Dragons also had enemies.

The Dragons had waged an eternal war with the Giants for ten thousand years. Although they had beco the rulers of the ruoroboros Continent, they still had to guard against a potential resurgence from the Giants. anwhile, with the Giants no longer posing a common threat to their civilizations, the friction between the tal Dragons and the Chromatic Dragons had intensified.

One day, his history teacher told him gravely: "A war between the tal Dragons and the Chromatic Dragons is inevitable. It will happen sooner or later. It will be a war that darkens the heavens and the earth—the Dragonfall War. And then, you, Ximor, will have to face an archenemy: She is Tiamat, the Scales of Evil, a descendant of the Nine-Faced Dragon God Io and a fratricide."

David understood that to face this enemy—one whom even his parents, Landis and Tamara, were not confident of defeating even if they joined forces—he had to grow strong as quickly as possible, before that inevitable war arrived.

It was on this day that David truly understood his ’mission’ in this world: He was to inherit the title of North Wind Dragon King and lead the tal Dragons to victory over the nefarious Chromatic Dragons.
