In the neighboring nest, compared to Silvia’s inexperience, Lefilia, although also lacking in experience, was a young dragon who had studied the Dragon’s Legacy in preparation for this day.
In the eyes of the Chromatic Dragons, this was not sothing to be ashad of.
Moreover, what made it rare was that her chosen Tanyas, even though Lefilia thought he was not mature enough and lacked the formidable strength of his brother that defied common sense, was gentle, fun, and not rash—a rare quality amongst the bandit-like Blue Dragons.
Without a doubt, Tanyas was the perfect match for her, and their fellowship was strong enough, though sotis she couldn’t tell if what they had was love or not.
But the term ’love,’ originating from humans, was perhaps too lavish for dragons, especially Chromatic Dragons.
She forced herself not to reminisce about the thrilling feelings that the damned Blue Dragon Carlatruca had stirred within her. Now that she had chosen a mate, there should be no more betrayals!
Seeing that Tanyas, who had been nuzzling her for quite so ti, had not yet gotten down to business, and thinking he hesitated due to a lack of experience, she endured the embarrassnt, turned her back, and with Tania staring in shock, used the tip of her tail to gently part her cloaca in an attempt to guide him.
"At a ti like this, what are you waiting for... you little fool."
"AH... AH... AH?" Faced with such an explosive scene, Tania was so shocked she couldn’t speak, only murmuring to herself as her mind nearly crashed: Save , save , save ...
Watching Tanyas still standing there like a log, Lefilia thought the little guy was overly excited and sohow felt less embarrassed and nervous than before.
Just as she was about to nuzzle against his neck and cheeks, she caught sight of David’s brawny figure squeezing into the cave.
For a mont, six eyes t in silence.
That instant, seeing the two dragons poised to mate, David froze in disbelief. He looked at Tania, thinking:
What the hell happened to srizing her with an illusion first, as we agreed? This is so awkward for !
"Sorry, wrong cave. Didn’t an to disturb. Goodbye," David managed to squeeze out an awkward yet dignified smile.
The mont he spoke, Lefilia, utterly convinced she was hallucinating, jumped up like a panicked cat. She crashed her hefty rear right onto Tania’s chin, who was just about to speak. Then, Lefilia flipped over, tail tucked, landing nearly upside down in a corner of the Dragon Nest. Panic-stricken and almost sobbing, she growled:
"ARGH!!! Karatrulka! You..."
But before she could finish her incoherent accusation, David knocked her out cold with a whack from the Book of the Dragon.
With the physique of a young Blue Dragon, she wouldn’t have passed out so easily, so David, to be safe, added a Power Sleep Spell.
However, his actions were still a mont too late.
Lefilia’s earlier outburst had already echoed through much of the courtyard.
Feeling the astonished gazes focused on him from behind, David imdiately pulled his head out of the Dragon Nest, turned around, and growled at the curious, gossip-hungry dragons who were poking their heads out:
"What are you looking at? Haven’t you seen a dragon paying a visit? Stare any longer, and you’re next!"
His aura pulsed with Wrath and Arrogance.
Before the other female dragons in the nests could suggest anything, they were dragged back by the terrified male Blue Dragons.
The courtyard returned to silence.
TCH. Looks like I can’t escape the notoriety for storming the night and grabbing my brother’s mate.
"This is all your fault," David glared fiercely at an innocent-faced Tania.
"...So what do we do now?" Tania asked quietly, her face showing defeat.
How the hell should I know?
Despite a surge of Sloth, David thought for a mont but didn’t voice his frustration. Instead, he sighed and said, "Just wait a mont!"
Not long after, another THUD echoed. In the eyes of both Tania and the bewildered dragons peeking from the shadows, David dragged Silvia—also ’knocked out’—by her neck into ’his brother’s’ nest.
This drew furious, yet envious, jealous, and resentful gazes from the crowd of dragons.
David had committed an act of ’violence’ they only dared to dream about, yet no one else had the audacity to carry out so blatantly.
「Half a month passed.」
With the thunderstorms gone, the lengthy rainy season vanished without a trace, and Kutaro’s desert beca hot and dry once more.
The male Blue Dragons, having successfully fertilized the next generation and been drained in the process, were chased out of their Dragon Nests by the female dragons.
For the next two years, the male Blue Dragons would bear the burden of most of the strenuous and dangerous external missions and hunting tasks, while the female dragons took over guarding the area around the Dragon Nests until the Dragon Eggs were laid and then spent a year incubating them.
As the male Blue Dragons left their nests, they all cast envious glances toward David’s Dragon Nest.
While outwardly they despised such a reckless act that disrespected Blue Dragon customs, inwardly they all harbored thoughts like: A true dragon born in this world should not be confined! This is how a dragon should be!
David’s and his sister’s blunder on the stormy night unwittingly managed to pry open the Blue Dragons’ mindset. Maybe doing it this way... isn’t such a bad idea after all?
