No matter David’s initial intentions, his impromptu decision to go ’shopping’ in the city of Elvis undoubtedly shocked the entire Royal Capital of Lurvadan.
Even though David’s current "Searing Fla Dragon Breath Bullet" fell several magnitudes short of his mother Pafila’s world-destroying "Nuclear Dragon Breath," its deterrent power, in an era where most still engaged in stabbing each other with dung forks and long spears, was already no less than that of the infamous ’Fat Man’ and ’Little Boy’ bombs Blue Star Emilygan had dropped on Japan years ago.
The newly crowned Blood Emperor Klinsmann took advantage of the lingering deterrence of the Dragon Might and the public’s misunderstanding of David’s intentions to blatantly whitewash his own actions. Capitalizing on the na of the Fla Steel Dragon, he began to publicly and extensively implent new political reforms throughout Lurvadan, eliminating idle political adversaries and diligently cultivating his own loyal faction.
But the more grandly he acted, the less willing the powerful and individualistic nobles were to stick their necks out. With the evident cooperation from Count Pablo, Klinsmann’s sweeping reforms proceeded with surprising smoothness.
anwhile, Klinsmann, the Blood Emperor, was firmly convinced David intended to use him and Lurvadan to achieve the grand vision of unifying the Granyel Continent. Driven by this belief, he had fallen into a near-frenzied ’007 workaholic ruler’ mode and begun to torture his ministers. It was around this ti that David, who had just returned to Wallens with his dragons, tossed the severed head of a Dragon Slayer to a sowhat puzzled Nifadora. Shortly after, he received a letter from his new dependant.
Klinsmann’s letter thoroughly embodied the art of being a loyal hound. First, he lavished praise on the impact of David’s arrival in the Royal Capital. Then, he briefly outlined his recent reforms and accomplishnts. Finally, he got to the main point: he requested that David dispatch so dragons to assist, in order to accelerate the substantive unification within Lurvadan and maintain continuous deterrence against foreign countries.
He claid that such an action would positively impact the developnt and order of the Port of Wallens and expressed his willingness to take on the task of caring for these ’aid dragons.’
So much so that Tania, openly ’screen-peeking’ beside him, was completely shocked.
"Wow! David, this new dependant of yours is truly shaless!"
Unexpectedly, her brother showed no displeasure. Instead, he remarked with sincere admiration, "If he heard what you just said, he would undoubtedly thank you for the complint."
Tania imdiately understood his aning and flicked her tail in disgust. "Ew! I definitely need to stay away from people like that. One shaless person like you, David, is more than enough!"
David was already immune to his sister’s intermittent barbs. "You’re still young. When you have your own dependants, you’ll realize that such ’shaless’ ones are the most useful and the most comforting to have."
On Blue Star, such ’professional players’—those with thick skin and dark hearts, who were practical, proactive in providing feedback to superiors, prompt in raising issues, and adept at requesting minimal resources to solve problems quickly—were often the most sought-after talent at major corporations. In an expansion phase, these individuals were often the most efficient at driving project progress forward. Even if many workers deep down resisted or even loathed such individuals, it was undeniable that their upward managent skills were often excellent, making them popular with so bosses. Of course, this didn’t include those who were rely smooth talkers, adept at navigating office politics but lacking real substance; such types would only harm a company like Gree while benefiting a competitor like Midea. And these individuals often went by another title: professional managers.
You just need to assign them tasks; they can often complete them efficiently, even exceeding expectations, and sotis even proactively correcting the tasks themselves. In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, while certainly not on par with the likes of Zhuge Liang or Pang Tong, they would still rank among figures like Zhang Zhao or Mi Zhu. Assign them the work, go to sleep, and wake up to a slew of completed tasks marked with yellow plus signs—how wonderfully efficient!
But in reality, most ordinary people either bury their heads and work silently, only reluctantly reporting problems when they arise; or they are re sycophants who achieve nothing of substance. Or perhaps they finally have an epiphany: I’m here to work for the money! Who are you trying to fool with all that talk about dreams?
It just goes to show, your position dictates your perspective. Once you transmigrate and acquire such ’talent’ for yourself, you can only exclaim how great it is, how satisfying it is to be so effectively supported.
"Hmph, I don’t want soone that slick and silver-tongued. I wouldn’t even know if I was being tricked! If I’m getting dependants, I want those simple-minded knights who are easy to fool, hehe," Tania declared, firm in her own ideas.
David didn’t try to ’earnestly persuade’ her or indoctrinate her with his views; he just happily wagged his tail, chatting with his dear sister.
Even though Tania was no longer so naively lawful good due to her mother’s influence, at her core, she was still a tal Dragon. Recruiting a whole group of individuals as cunning as Klinsmann... I wouldn’t feel at ease, David mused. After all, my sister Tania is so adorable. Who knows if those types would secretly harbor ambitions of becoming her Dragon Knight? Hmph!
