Chapter 51: Chapter 17 The Galloping Wind
Early in the morning, Benjamin’s mud-covered truck left Grande Funeral Ho and headed the Northern District of Barton. The two hunters who were still half-conscious were dropped halfway.
So parts of the two hunters’ mories regarding the Grande Funeral Ho have been replaced by the fabricated mories by the vampire’s hypnotizing eyes. In the current mories of the two hunters, the Grande Funeral Ho did not have a blood bank of a vampire, nor did the werewolf shed hair in the straws in the warehouse. The old man with a weird temper was not unusually vigilant. This was just an ordinary funeral business.
Both Zach and Benjamin realized that their life at the Grande Funeral Ho was too peaceful.
Benjamin, who had rested all night, still did not look well. The old radio was fortunate to escape this round of ravages. The two people sat quietly in the car and arrived at [Barton rcy Hospital]. But the two did not go in. In the hospital, in order to take care of patients with limited mobility, mirrors were hung on the ceiling of every corner of a turn. Zach, the vampire, would be easily exposed.
After Jas got out of the hospital and got in the car, Benjamin drove the truck again and drove out of the hospital.
Jas had called when it was near midnight last night. After confirming that Jas was okay, Zach was relieved.
“How’s the situation?” Zach looked sideways at Jas, who was sitting in the back seat. The young detective was wearing a high-collar coat, covering the mark on his neck, with gauze on his chin.
“His vital signs have been stabilized-”
“I’m not asking this.” The vampire interrupted Jas: “Did you explain your identity?”
Jas frowned. The vampire’s indifference made Jas a little uncomfortable. However, during the phone call, the two parties had exchanged their experiences last night, so Jas could understand the vampire’s indifference.
“I explained it according to our previous discussion.” Jas lowered his eyes: “‘The monster that intercepted has been killed by . I’m now investigating other monsters that may exist in Barton.’”
Zach nodded, “Does he trust you?”
“The purpose of taking him to the hospital is to obtain his trust,” Jas said coldly, not feeling good at this mont. Because what he said just now was what Zach told him after he solved the shape-shifter case.
Before he was attacked by a hunter, Jas didn’t think he would follow Zach’s ‘instructions’, so he ignored Anthony’s advice. After eting Zach, Benjamin, and Jim, Jas always had an illusion about the “Hunter”. However, this illusion was ended last night.
Please understand that Jas never knew that there were these supernatural nonhumans in this world before, let alone hunters! Jas was groping for ways to get along with these ‘people’ who seem to have erged from the new world.
“How did you report it to the station?” Zach asked. Any hospital is obliged to call the police when they accept patients with gunshot wounds. Of course, Jas, as a police detective, would not stop it. In fact, this was to show the hunter that he had nothing to hide, which was the thod that Jas used to gain the trust of the hunter.
“Louise.” Jas took a few deep breaths. He didn’t like lying, but last night, he told too many lies,” Louise was robbed, the robber took my gun during the fight, and shot soone who was helping us.”
“Did Louise co up with this story?” Zach smiled, “Where is she?”
“I don’t know, she left after the police took her statent.” Jas shook his head, and seed to rember sothing: “I thought she was always with you.”
Zach’s face returned to coldness: “She left. What was she doing in your place yesterday?”
“I don’t know, she didn’t say it.” Jas frowned, and he didn’t even have ti to say thank you to this woman who suddenly appeared and saved his life!
Zach was silent for a while, shook his head, and continued to say to Jas: “Anthony said that you want to investigate the identity of the hunter. There is no need to investigate, I have already asked clearly last night.”
“I have gotten it.” Jas leaned against the car window. This was the result of him running around all afternoon yesterday. The docunt pierced by a steel needle recorded the information of the Inan hunter who attacked him.
Zach glanced at Jas, the son of the general was still quite reliable. Everyone was caught off guard by what happened last night, and no one expected the hunters’ actions to be so quick.
“Jas, don’t contact them.” Thanks to what happened last night, now Jas would probably seriously consider this suggestion. Zach turned around and looked at the detective in the back seat sincerely, “I know that you must have so illusions about the hunter, now, this illusion can be thrown away. They are a group of dangerous people.”
“I know.” Jas didn’t want to see the vampire, deliberately looking at the receding scene outside the window.
Normal people would not hide in other people’s hos with crossbows that could penetrate iron gates and attack them. Normal people would not use the heating system to put half a street of people to sleep. When Jas encountered a ghoul, no one reacted to the gunfire.
“Now, he will think that you and he are the sa kinds of people, people that are driven by revenge, you must draw a clear line with him!” Zach was not an alarmist. The ans that hunters use to recruit people is exactly looking for the people who have been hurt by nonhumans. Using hatred to drive people to a completely different path from ordinary life.
Of course, there is another aning of this sentence, and everyone will know it soon, so don’t worry.
Jas frowned tighter, the son of the general didn’t like the vampire preaching to him, “You don’t need to tell this, I know it myself! Where are we heading now?”Jas noticed the surrounding environnt. The street was separated by red and white roadblocks, the floor tiles were turned up, and the soil was piled up on the side of the road. Obviously the street was under construction.
Benjamin found a fast-food restaurant, stopped the car, and shook his head: “You can get out of the car now.”
“What?” Jas looked around from the back seat, “What is this place, is it [Becky Street]? It’s a dozen blocks away from where I live!”
“Get out of the car, Jas.” Zach leaned back in his seat and rubbed his eyes: “At least we found you a place to have breakfast.”
Jas pushed the car door helplessly, watched the truck continue to drive forward, and frowned. If he rembered it correctly, the place ahead is [Raiput High School], what are they doing there? This question was quickly squeezed away by hunger and exhaustion. The last al Jas had eaten was the biscuits that Mrs. Coulson habitually gave him when he sent Coulson ho yesterday. Obviously, Jas ‘gluttonous’ impression was still kept in Mrs. Coulson’s mind. After that, Jas ran around in Barton to investigate the identity of the Inan who entered Barton in the past few days. After returning ho, he was attacked. Then he went to the hospital to take the statent (lie) and waited for the Inan’s surgery, clarified his identity (lie), t with the vampire and the werewolf, and then he was sent here.
Jas opened the door of the fast-food restaurant, decided to have a good al, and then went ho to sleep.
It’s ti to tell everyone about the information that Jas had collected yesterday afternoon. The na of the Inan Hunter lying in the ward is Revenge Gale. He does not live in Barton, but his parents are living in Barton, he also has a younger brother, oh, correction, he used to have a younger brother.
