This kind of life was draining out
I managed a weak "I get it" before heading back to the office.
I decided to cut all ties with the Colemans. Damon ca in high spirits but left with a long face.
I had the company’s security departnt pull up the surveillance footage to identify the gift-bearer. I had this gut feeling that Ariel was behind it.
After going through the footage, I finally spotted the woman who delivered the gift. Even with sunglasses and a mask on, I recognized her from her figure and the way she walked.
I was in a slump. Without my parents’ support, I felt under-equipped to handle this. Life had beco a struggle, and Ariel still wanted to keep kicking when I was down, damn her.

Since she wouldn’t let up, I wouldn’t disappoint her. I posted the surveillance footage on social dia, laying out the whole story and calling Ariel out.. Before long, Ariel demanded a face-to-face eting.

I scoffed, ’Fine, go ahead and sue . Let’s see who really gets exposed at the end."
Ariel suddenly changed the subject as she said, "Eliana, I was just impulsive. Damon confessed that he loves you, and I can’t accept it. What do you say we make a deal?"
I stayed silent, waiting for Ariel to continue.
She went on and said, "You and Jones are no longer together, right? I can introduce you to soone better. If you can get married soon, I can get my mother to help your family, maybe get your dad a shorter prison term."
Ariel was trying to blackmail with my father’s situation.
How low could she get?
However, I was ready to face whatever ca my way. I didn’t need Ariel’s "help"
My dad was looking at a five-year sentence, my mom might never wake up, but I was willing to wait.
I responded coldly, "No need. You can focus on winning Damon back and figuring out how to write your apology."
Damon was Ariel’s biggest obsession. Because of him, she changed drastically and even lost her parents in an accident. Despite all that, she still wanted to chase after Damon.
Didn’t Ariel get that Damon hated being chased? I learned that the hard way.
Now, Damon was not as cold towards as he used to be. He said he couldn’t let go and wanted back as a way to make up for everything. However, I would never forget the look of disgust in his eyes and the hurtful words he once said, "Are you a dog? Do you love following people around?"
"Eliana, you’re pushing ! I won’t let you live comfortably if I can’t have Damon. That gift was just the beginning. You’ll regret it." Ariel was fuming when she hung up.
She had lost it, acting like a clown and throwing a tantrum because she didn’t get the attention she wanted.
As for , I was cool as a cucumber. I was just sending out the recording of our conversation as evidence
I was quite pleased with the outco.
Soul Enterprises’ reputation took a hit, and Nancy even ca forward to apologize on Ariel’s behalf.

In the video, Nancy looked genuinely remorseful, sending out an apology to the dia.
Karen was there too, defending Ariel, "I know Ariel well, she loved Damon so much, but he played her. That’s why she lost it."
Ariel didn’t show up throughout the whole thing, showing just how much Nancy cared for her goddaughter.
Even the dia started speculating who Nancy’s real daughter was, Karen or Ariel. Why did Nancy favor Ariel over her biological daughter, Karen?
"Gross! I feel like puking just looking at her!" Luna retched after watching the video.
Clara shook her head and said, "Nancy’s got a good temper. Ariel ssed up, and she ca forward to apologize. That’ll calm things down a bit." I just drank quietly, the hustle and bustle of the bar allowing to escape from the weary world for a mont.
Right now, I just wanted to drink and relax for a bit.
While Luna and the others were discussing Ariel and Nancy, advising on how to counterattack, I thought I saw Damon in the crowd.
I blinked, and the figure turned into Jones
I rubbed my eyes and headed to the restroom to clear my head.
I threw up violently, tears streaming down my face, but none of it relieved the pain in my heart.
When I left the restroom, I bumped into soone. I mumbled an apology and tried to leave but got stopped.
I looked up to see Damon frowning down at .
He looked at my drunken state. His tone was reproachful, "What are you trying to achieve by getting this wasted? You wouldn’t even know if soone kidnapped you!"
"Let be," I muttered numbly.
"I’m taking you ho" Damon asserted, slinging an arm around my shoulder, ready to lead away
My suppressed emotions, fueled by alcohol and Damon’s firm stance, burst forth. Tears stread down my face as I lashed out at him, "What ’ho"? Do I even have a ’ho anymore?"
My family was broken, and although I managed to save myself after a rebirth, my parents suffered even worse.
And all of this because I had the audacity to fall in love with soone I shouldn’t have at a young age. How ridiculous.
