Like what type of won Damon digs, his favorite food, the kind of fun stuff he’s into
I answered her one by one
After I finished answering all her questions, April looked at with those big eyes of hers and said. "Heard you were deeply in love with him, guess it’s true. How else could you know so much?"
"Good luck with that," I said, a smirk playing on my lips.
After heading back to my room and taking a shower, my phone buzzed. It was Jones with a video call.
Once I picked it up. I was greeted by his handso face.
He called to ask about Damon’s statent.
After I explained a bit, he suddenly said, "Maybe I shouldn’t be a doctor, should take over the family business instead."
"What do you an?" I asked, squinting my eyes
"So I can be like Damon, with more free ti."
Jones said with a bitter smile, "You went abroad, I managed to get a work assignnt to follow you. But now that you’re back, I can’t just leave."
I opened my eyes wide, feeling a bit sorry for him, "I’ll have a three-second silence for you"
"Wait until I’m back, then you can mourn for in person." He said.
"Okay, I’ll bring candles." I joked.
"You trying to scare off"
"No, just trying to set the mood."
We chatted for about twenty minutes, then I dozed off, didn’t even hang up the call.
Woke up the next day to a dead phone.
After I charged it up and checked, our call lasted more than four hours.
Turns out he didn’t hang up either, he waited until my phone died.

Next morning. I went downstairs and saw April just erging from the guest room, her eyes a bit puffy Looked like she stayed up all night.
"Eliana, I thought about it all night, I think my biggest rival is Ariel. Does Damon really like her?" She asked.
"I have no idea, that’s sothing you’ll have to find out for yourself." I replied.
"You’re right, but I don’t think there’s anything special about Ariel. She’s just a bit more innocent looking. I don’t think she’s anything special, I won’t lose to her" April’s confidence was sort of amusing to .
After breakfast prepared by my mom, April got a call from a friend and left.
I had a hunch she wasn’t here in the city to visit friends, but to see Damon.
Now that Damon and Ariel’s relationship is the talk of the town, she’s probably feeling the heat and used this as an excuse to co here
If I guessed right, she’ll find a way to see Damon.
I just didn’t expect to be dragged into it.
The day after April left, she called my dad, said she wanted to thank us for letting her stay the night by treating to dinner, then gave him the address. My dad, being good friends with her dad, quickly agreed and told to et April at the restaurant after hanging up.
"April’s a very sweet girl, you can treat this as making a new friend." My dad said.
He’d rather I go out and enjoy life than confine myself at ho, hoping I could recover as soon as possible.
I couldn’t say no, so I grabbed my car keys and headed to the restaurant,

On reaching the private room April booked, I found it full of people, including a pregnant Luna, Damon, Mitch and Cooper, along with so other folks i didn’t recognize
"Eliana?" Luna quickly stood up, pulling out of the room, "What are you doing here? I knew Damon was coming so I didn’t tell you about it!"
"April asked to co" I replied, "Is this a party she organized?"
"No! Damon invited her for dinner, she brought along a few friends, then Damon invited Mitch and Cooper, and Mitch brought "
Luna looked confused, "Does April like Damon? You can tell by the way she looks at him. Why did she invite you then? Did she do it on purpose?"
While we were chatting, the door opened again.
April walked out, looking rather helpless, "Eliana, I didn’t really want you to co either. But since I stayed at your place last night, he said I should thank you, so I invited you for dinner. Is he trying to get back together with you?"
Luna widened her eyes," Don’t talk nonsense!"
"Are you Luna" April turned to Luna, quick on the uptake, I like the color of your lipstick. Can you still wear lipstick when you’re pregnant?"

I found the two of them sowhat similar, both straightforward.
After talking about lipstick brands, April shifted the topic back to Damon, "I think Ariel called him, she’ll probably be here soon. I heard she has a heart condition, how can she still be running around?"
"She’s very resilient" I replied, "I’m not going to stay for dinner, you guys enjoy. If my dad asks, just tell him I was here."
Luna nodded. "Yeah, you better not stay"
"Sure, I’m not interested in watching Damon dine with his ex-wife Eliana, you can go. Luna, let’s go back in." April said bluntly
I waved at Luna, then she followed April back into the room.
I took the elevator down, planning to grab a quick bite sowhere and head ho. Just as I reached the restaurant entrance, I saw Ariel and Karen showing up
Ariel wasn’t in a wheelchair today, with Karen supporting her closely
Seeing , Ariel stopped, a trace of resentnt showing on her pale face
"Damon’s still waiting for us, let’s go Karen seed to say it loud enough on purpose for to hear.
I Ignored them and walked straight past
"Eliana!" Ariel called out to . She wriggled free from Karen and stood in front of ." I need to talk to you, is that okay?"
"No, it’s not okay. What’s there to talk about? I glared at her coldly, "Why don’t we talk about how you pushed off at the hospital? Or about your deliberate attempts to hurt ?"
Ariel went even paler, staring at . "Eliana, I didn’t push you. You fell on your own!"
What a load of bull.
I extended my hand and pretended to playfully push her, but Karen suddenly rushed over and held her, angrily shouting at , "Eliana, have you gone mad? Don’t you know she has a heart condition? What if sothing happens to her?"
Ariel looked scared out of her wits, her pupils trembling.
I twisted my wrist, "I didn’t push her. She just couldn’t keep her balance, I was just trying to help her"
