"Sister Helen. Please help." Gregor ran into the back of the temple and gently placed Mother down. Helen who had been eating looked up and saw the arrow sticking out of Mother and quickly shot to her feet. She ran to a cupboard and grabbed nurous herbs and pastes.

"What happened?" She started her work but asked the question without looking up.

"Soone tried to kill her during her speech. She passed out on the way." Gregor replied, not accusing the Ammary soldiers. Whilst he believed them to be guilty, it was a dangerous thing to fra them without any evidence.

"Gosh." Helen shook her head as she carefully pulled the arrowhead out. She rubbed the wound with a clean rag and poured so water on it. "It looks like she will be fine. The arrow didn’t strike anything important." Her words made Gregor even more confused. He knew the Empire’s military skills and heard rumors of the strict standards they stuck to. For them to miss Mother who stood still didn’t make sense. ’Must be a third party. The Commonwealth maybe.’ He may not have been politically savvy, but he knew how the ga worked between nations. Although the Commonwealth promised to help, he wouldn’t put it past them to do sothing like this to fan the flas.

"You should go back and help clear things up. She will be fine. The wound isn’t too bad." Helen said with a commanding tone, and Gregor nodded, knowing he had to help the people. Seeing him leave, she undressed her more having to fully work on the wound now it was clean.

Saladin watched as the crowd tore into the Ammary soldiers. He had to marvel at their training able to hold them off so long without being able to pull their weapons. But it couldn’t hold. Dragged to the ground he watched as the crowd beat the small amount of soldiers to death. It was a frenzy. "We have to go for now," Saladin said to his n, seeing that the night was going to be one full of chaos.

Throughout the night, angry protesters walked up the streets attacking any soldier unlucky enough to be seen. Governnt buildings were destroyed and shops and houses were looted. All throughout the night, ’For the Utopia’ was chanted. Only when the sun rose again it cald.

"You mustn’t move too much. You may reopen the wound." Helen said seeing Mother awake. The woman looked down at her arm and saw it wrapped in bandages.

"Thank you." She said warmly, pushing herself up. "But I don’t think I will have that luxury. I have things I need to do." Mother tried to push herself up but was stopped by Helen who grabbed her healthy arm.

"Not today. It’s a ss outside right now and you are a very wanted person right now for inciting a riot." Mother sighed and laid back down hearing her words. She could see Helen was dead set on not letting her leave.

"Fine. But get Gregor for , please. I need him to do sothing for ." Helen nodded leaving Mother alone who smiled to herself. It was all coming together. Soon Nakhla would be in full support for her. She was sure of it.

Gregor walked in and seeing Mother fine he let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you. For getting to safety." Mother stood up and hugged the man. "But we can’t let this be a setback." Releasing him she laid back on the sofa. "Summon those nobles who support us. It’s ti I deal with them." Gregor gave a nod and left. She closed her eyes resting, preparing how to deal with them.

"Uncle." Oskar bowed toward his uncle, Aleksander in a respectful manner. He was his fathers most trusted advisor and the second in command for the entire Dukedom. Aleksander nodded taking a seat, finally letting Oskar sit.

It was a strange sight to see the heir to the duke being so respectful to a family mber other than their father, but his uncle was soone who he had to show respect to by his father’s order. Oskar didn’t mind knowing the man deserved his position within the family.

"My brother said a situation has arisen," Aleksander spoke in a flat tone, lighting a cigar. "Run through it."

Oskar nodded, "Whilst I can’t say for certain, I have a very strong suspicion that Snowid has begun to place spies within the nobility." He began to recount his experience with Horace, and Alexsander listened keenly. "As I said I can’t be sure. I need soone to investigate the Mikos family to see if this is true. I don’t have the resources."

Aleksander stroked his chin. "I’ll get soone to investigate. The family is real I can tell you that, but if it’s a cover I’ll find out." Taking an inhale of his cigar he looked at Oskar, wondering how he should move forward. "Stay near him for now. But be careful with what you say. I’ll look into Konrad. That man will be the one in charge of this and knowing him, I don’t doubt he has done this."

"Are you sure that is wise uncle?" Oskar asked out of concern. Everyone knew what type of man Konrad was like and even better his closeness to the King.

Alexsander didn’t take the question as an insult and smiled. "It will be a long ti before the King can move against our family completely. And thanks to the Blood Child we have learned not to group up anymore." Oskar understood him referencing the Argon family extinction. Getting up he walked passed Oskar placing his hand on his shoulder, "Don’t worry about . Just make sure to carry a weapon on you whenever you et him going forward." With his final warning, he gave another pat and walked out.

"Thank you for eting ." Mother sat at the table with three n. She put on a weak appearance and made her face whiter with makeup.

"We can delay this if it’s too hard for you." One said with concern. Mother reached out grabbing his hand giving a happy smile.

"Thank you for your concern. But I can’t stop now. If the Emporer tries again, and god forbid he succeeds, Then I need the peace of mind to know that the reclamation won’t end." The n looked at one another before looking at Mother’s weak appearance and nodded with a newfound resolve. She gave a thankful smile seeing the change in their expressions. "You three are the best of your kind. Truly faithful and just. That is why I need your help. This attack is proof of the fears I have held about the Emporer. Please I need your help. Persuade your fellow nobles of the truth. They are just his pawns that he will discard when he is done with them."

One of them nodded in agreent with her words. "We know that what you wish for doesn’t wish to destroy our families. But the others do not. When you say an end to bloodlines and nobility, it is as scary as the looming hand of the Emporer. We need proof to show them that you aren’t the threat they think you are." He shook his head saying this.

"Excuse for a second." Mother got up and walked to her drawer pulling out a book. It was thin and had no title, but she passed it to them. "It is one of two copies I have made. A book detailing what the Khors state would look like. Please, read it and show your fellows. They will understand I don’t wish for their end. I am a humanitarian. I believe in the best of all humanity, even the nobles. I don’t want them to fear . I wish for them to see for what I am. A woman who is faithful to Khors."

They heard the conviction in her voice. Opening it they read a few lines and saw it to be of high enough standard to show. With that, they nodded. "We will try and help. But you must understand. They are more scared than the commoners. They have much more to lose. We are the anomaly amongst them."

"Of course I understand." Mother smiled. "I’m sorry to ask you all this when I called you here but I must rest. My dicine to help with the pain makes drowsy."

"Forgive us. We should have known you would be recovering still." They got up and Mother did as well. With a polite goodbye, they left her alone. Mother watched as they left before walking to the bucket of water, and washing the makeup off her face. "Co out." Mother called and a man in armor walked out, the head of her small guard. "I need you to do sothing for ." Mother grabbed the face covering hiding the man’s face with great care. "Take your n and follow them for , please."

The man gave a nod, leaning into her hand a little. "Thank you, my beautiful son." She let him nuzzle himself in her hand. Looking at his eyes that kept looking down at her wound she smiled softly. "It doesn’t hurt. Mother asked you to do this for a good reason. So don’t worry. Go you have a job to do." With a soft voice she watched as he left leaving her alone.
