The music naturally ca to an end, and the dance also ca to a stop.
"Miss Rastina, as a lady, it’s not a good thing to keep holding onto a man~" Mohe approached Doro and Rastina, "I was planning to invite Mr. Doro for a dance too. But since Miss Rastina is unwilling to let go~ it’s no big deal."
Rastina realized her gaffe and subconsciously released her hand.
"Um... please, go ahead!"
Mohe smiled, staring at Doro: "Mr. Doro, are you only going to let girls invite you to dance? Can’t you proactively invite a girl to dance?"
"I think it’s already inappropriate for a girl to say sothing like this."
"Mr. Doro, who makes girls have to say sothing like this, is even worse~"
So where does a Demon King like you get the stance to say such things... Doro sighed. Mohe was indeed very skilled in this area. If you don’t satisfy her, she’ll keep attacking you verbally, even though her sharp tongue is unexpectedly cute. But sotis it makes one’s blood boil and makes you want to do sothing to her.
But then you worry if it’s a trap she set.
This person is really troubleso.
He gave Rastina an apologetic look, then turned to Mohe: "So, Miss Mohe, may I have the honor of this dance?"
He extended his hand.
Then he saw a sly expression appear on Mohe’s face: "I’m sorry, Mr. Doro, I’m not in the mood to dance right now~"
Doro had to admit that even though he had entered middle age, a supposedly mature and steady age, he almost couldn’t hold it together at this mont.
This person is definitely doing it on purpose.
When dealing with the Demon King, this aspect is what makes it so "enjoyable". At any mont, you can assu that the Demon King has malicious intentions.
Speaking of which, she seems to have her gentle monts, doesn’t she? Sohow, Doro suddenly rembered the scene when Mohe held his head before.
To be fair, even though Mohe’s developnt isn’t particularly great, there is indeed so warmth and softness to it. The feeling is unexpectedly nice, providing a sense of comfort.
What was Mohe thinking at that ti? Was it pure "pity" from a "stronger" to a "weaker" person?
He was referring to the inner strength and weakness. If the Demon King encountered the sa situation as him, Doro had no doubt that the Demon King would directly draw her sword and slaughter all traitors.
She’s definitely capable of doing such things. Even if she’s whimsically playing a hero’s ga, once the ga content exceeds her desired scope, she wouldn’t mind clearing everything out and recreating a new ga.
So in this regard, the Demon King indeed stands from a "stronger" position.
Back to the topic, this Demon King sotis exhibits rcy and compassion that seem unfit for her identity. Doro recently speculated it’s because in the Demon King’s long life, her rcy and compassion can be displayed.
For example, many things humans learned might have co from the Demon King. It’s hard to tell if, in early human tis, soone reached the Demon King, knelt in front of her, and begged for sothing, leading to her whimsically bestowing certain things onto humans.
It’s entirely possible. Because to this Demon King, with her eternal life, no matter what she grants anyone, eventually, both people and their possessions will fade with ti, ultimately leaving no history. Thus, her rcy, compassion, and brutality—all are trivial matters.
So she acts carelessly.
But this is only Doro’s speculation about the Demon King Mohe.
He probably will never truly understand how soone with eternal life views the world—and he doesn’t want to, just as he said.
The re thirty-sothing years of life as a human have already worn him out, and he doesn’t know how to handle the rest of his life.
The thought of a long, endless, lonely, and solitary life gives him chills.
That might not be an honor.
At least, to Doro, that’s the case.
Seeing the triumphant grin on Mohe’s face, Doro felt it necessary to do sothing about it. Since you are so rciful, so compassionate, so proud, and so magnanimous...
He took a step forward, quickly reaching out to grab Mohe’s hand.
"Let’s dance, Mohe."
"Huh? Didn’t I just refuse... hey!"
Doro had already pulled Mohe into a dance.
What was with this person?
Mohe is soone who pursues art, so of course she can dance, but she didn’t co close to Doro to dance; teasing Doro is a very fun thing, at least, teasing others doesn’t bring Mohe as much joy.
Why is it that Doro was the one who killed her?
Life usually only values those who are enough of a threat. Mohe is no exception. To Doro, who can threaten her, Mohe’s attitude is obviously different.
She is willing to make so compromises for Doro, just like dancing at this mont.
"Since Mr. Doro is so willful, then I can only be the understanding one~"
"I have wanted to communicate with you for a long ti, Mohe. If, as you say, dance can convey the original feelings of life..."
Mohe blinked her eyes and matched Doro’s movents: "The dance I’m talking about is primal, the original dance, not like this now, improved and designed by humans, with specialized dancers erging. From that ti, dance was no longer pure, no longer sothing that reveals original feelings. There is a conceptual difference."
"I don’t understand much about this. Can you teach ?"
"That’s true."
Mohe’s attitude seed much better than expected, without any sense of being forced to dance by Doro: "Like at this mont, when you touch my waist... If it were with primal impulses, shouldn’t there be more ambiguous actions? Similar to desire."
She did not shy away from such topics: "Leaving aside my figure, if it were a mature woman, wouldn’t it make one’s heart race? Dancers are required to grasp the asure of distance, but in reality, the body’s desires are expressed in movent. When humans transform into beasts, it is often the most artistic mont... From this aspect, I share similar views with the Fauvism."
She once explained the difference between Fauvism and Rationalism on Charlette’s wood sculpture. Now she talked about these things again: "Intelligent beings always want to differentiate themselves from their wild aspects, thinking they are different from beasts—in my view, there’s actually not much difference, beasts just lack the opportunity, lack a prophet, lack a leader. They lack the most critical opportunity to evolve from beasts to civilization."
She evidently wasn’t the voluptuous type, yet her dance at this mont gave an extre sense of fluidity. It was as if this small body did not need a skeleton to support it.
Which brings us to, what does the Demon King’s skeleton symbolize?
"For life forms, there’s no need to reject their beastly sides; that’s the embodint of life’s instincts, not an unbearable past, but the way forward." At this mont, Mohe, wrapped around Doro’s shoulders, with her legs around Doro’s waist, appeared extrely ambiguous—in terms of dance steps and posture, this was sowhat excessive, unsuited for genteel occasions.
She positioned herself like this, leaning close to Doro’s ear, whispering in his ear: "So, Mr. Doro, there’s no need to repress yourself, maturity in humans doesn’t lie in self-restraint, but in knowing oneself and living firmly according to one’s own will, having the courage to face difficulties and obstacles."
"Do you know what kind of person you are now?"
"I’m still searching."
"Searching... an ambiguous answer, cunning man."
This wasn’t the answer Mohe wanted, but this kind of thing was fine too, searching... ant there were other possibilities, rather than walking back to the place of being the Hero.
So this is cunning.
This is purely waiting for the right price, waiting for humans, other forces, and for her, the Demon King Mohe, to make an offer—whoever can help him find his path, he will beco that kind of person.
Truly the epito of human greed, the Hero has indeed changed quite a bit from the days gone by... he is no longer sincere at all.
Speaking of which, Mohe still misses that man who originally arrived at her palace, holding the Sword of the Sun and Light, back then he was incredibly pure and simple.
"Always feel..."
A few girls gathered together, Rose stared at the two dancing.
She couldn’t help but say, "Always feel that when the two of them are together, it’s hard for others to intervene... There’s a very subtle feeling, as if they are the only two left in this world."
Lisidorwei watched the two shadows dancing, knowing that Rose’s words weren’t just random judgnts but that the two indeed gave off such a feeling.
She was very clear about it.
Doro, the Hero A·Gedora to Demon King Mohe, or should we say Demon King Modoh, was a special existence. The final battle, she witnessed that too.
At this mont, their dance and that final battle were probably no different.
A battle others find hard to ddle in, irrespective of belief, love, trust, dependence, all unable to intrude upon this domain, a battle for the Demon King and the Hero alone.
When the Sword of the Sun and Light pierced the Demon King’s body, defeating the Demon King, perhaps everyone was imrsed in the joy of defeating the Demon King.
Perhaps, except for herself and Gedora himself, no one noticed the smile on Demon King’s face at that mont.
She knew that at that ti, the Demon King harbored the sa feelings as Gedora.
They were so joyful, so content.
"Gedora, I will never forget you."
This was the last sentence the Demon King uttered as death approached, a sentence never spoken to anyone else.
