424: Chapter 424 Difficulties Galore (3)_1 424: Chapter 424 Difficulties Galore (3)_1 However, this earned Old Master Loo a scolding, “You brat, when did you beco so slippery?

My hand hasn’t even touched your little bum, and you’re already crying out in pain.” Old Master Loo’s words prompted a hearty laugh from everyone.

Situ Xin looked at her joyous family, feeling especially content.

She thought that perhaps her rebirth was ant to make up for the lack of kinship in her previous life.

“Ah Che, Ah Jie, how did it go with the new team leader on this mission?” After the two families had a lovely al together.

Everyone moved to the sofas to chat and drink tea, to catch up and bond.

No sooner had they sat down than Old Master Situ couldn’t help but be the first to broach the subject.

Situ Che and Loo Jie exchanged glances, not sure what Old Master Situ ant.

“The new team leader seems quite rigid.

Like in this mission, he only knew defense, but not offense.

If Baby hadn’t shown up later, I think our mission would have definitely failed.

Grandpa, what’s up?

Why suddenly ask about this?”

Old Master Situ did not imdiately answer Situ Che’s question, instead exchanging glances with Old Master Loo and Old Deng.

Situ Xin leaned back on the couch, resting without speaking.

She knew why her grandpa had brought it up.

The elders did not clear up the confusion for Situ Che and Loo Jie.

But just then, Situ Haoran, who was at ho, spoke, “Dad, are you asking because that new team leader of Ah Che and Ah Jie’s has been dismissed?”

“Yes, we just received the news today.

It’s strange because, normally, since Ah Jie and Ah Che completed their mission successfully, the team leader would certainly be comnded.

However, to our surprise, he was dismissed.

And the higher-ups haven’t explained why.

So I thought I’d ask Ah Che and Ah Jie,” Old Master Situ said as he thought about the situation while responding to Situ Haoran.

Upon hearing Old Master Situ’s words, Situ Che and Loo Jie showed surprised expressions.

“Grandpa Situ, Grandpa Loo, Grandpa Deng, is this information reliable?” Loo Jie and Situ Che, who had been resting at ho for a few days, knew nothing about this.

Loo Jie’s question was t with a roll of Old Master Loo’s eyes.

“You kid, what kind of question is that?

If this information weren’t reliable, would we be here discussing it so seriously?

It seems a few days without training, and you start itching for trouble.

You even dared to doubt us old folks.”

Situ Che furrowed his brow and thought for a mont before speaking, “Grandpa, Old Master Loo, Grandpa Deng, besides our new team leader being dismissed, are there any other personnel changes?” Situ Che tended to think more ticulously than Loo Jie.

“There have been quite a few big personnel changes in your special forces this ti.

It seems that several high-level officials were also removed, all taken away by the discipline inspection committee.

And among them was the person who leaked information about your mission, Ah Che and Ah Jie,” said Loo Jianguo, Loo Jie’s father, in response to Situ Che’s question.

Loo Jianguo paused, then looked at the expressions of everyone present before continuing, “I heard that the discipline committee stepped in because several of its leaders received a docunt on their desks.

Supposedly, that docunt contained evidence of those people’s wrongdoing.

Of course, this is all hearsay, and the truth is unknown.

However, I think there must be so truth to the rumors circulating outside, at least mostly true.”

“Jianguo ntioned this, and I’ve heard so of it as well.

Moreover, I have noticed that none of the individuals taken away by the discipline committee are from our side, but several seed to be from the other side,” Situ Haoran reflected on what he knew.

“From what you’re saying, there seems to be soone plotting behind the scenes,” said Old Master Loo, tapping his fingers rhythmically on himself—a habitual gesture when he was deep in thought.

“Moreover, the planner of this event must favor our side.

Also, it’s all too coincidental.

Ah Che and Ah Jie’s mission was almost jeopardized due to a mistake by soone above, yet at the sa ti, everyone involved in the incident was either investigated by the discipline committee or dismissed,” said Old Deng, grinning knowingly at Situ Xin.

Situ Xin could see in Old Deng’s eyes a look that clearly said he knew she was sohow involved in the matter.

“Considering Old Deng’s words, it really seems so.

We just don’t know who the person behind all this is,” said Old Master Situ, who hadn’t figured it out yet, while Old Master Loo, having heard Old Deng’s words, understood at least a part of it.

Old Master Loo listened as Old Master Situ racked his brains, still puzzled.

Situ Haoran and Loo Jianguo were also lost in thought, heads bowed.

“Ahem, Baby, what do you think about this whole affair?” Old Master Loo coughed and then turned to ask Situ Xin.

“Hey, Old Lu, why are you asking Baby?

Don’t you see she’s been at school all day, ca back and cooked for all of us, she’s tired.

Baby, don’t mind your grandpa, just lean back and rest,” Old Master Situ chid in before Situ Xin could respond.

Clearly, the first part of his statent was addressed to Old Master Loo, and the last part to Situ Xin.

At Old Master Situ’s words, Situ Xin didn’t know if she should speak.

She glanced at her grandpa and Old Deng and then at Old Master Situ, who was still struggling to identify the mastermind behind all this.

Old Master Loo, upon hearing Old Master Situ’s words, gave him an annoyed glance.

However, Old Deng smiled and coughed before saying, “Situ, don’t you want to know who planned this whole thing?”

“Yes, I do want to know.

Old Deng, do you have an idea?” Old Master Situ asked Old Deng eagerly.

“Old Deng, if you know, please tell us quickly.

We really can’t figure out who has been secretly helping us,” Loo Jianguo added to Old Master Situ’s question, his own curiosity piqued.
