37: Chapter 37 Trivial Matters (2)_1 37: Chapter 37 Trivial Matters (2)_1 It was not until Situ Haoran, Situ Haotian, Old Master Loo, Loo Jianguo and others appeared at the Situ Family’s residence and went into Old Master Situ’s room to discuss matters that Situ Xin rembered sothing that wasn’t quite right.

From the Phoenix Jade Pendant she wore and the incident at the orphanage, she had been convinced that she had been reborn into her own body from a previous life, aning the world she was living in now was precisely the world she had lived in in her previous life.

In other words, the world she inhabited now should be the sa world as her previous one, and the events that occurred should be the sa.

Just as in her previous life, she had been sent to an orphanage, and in this life, she had experienced the sa thing, except this ti, she was eventually found by her family and brought back.

However, when Situ Xin saw those familiar leading figures of central authority in Country H on television, it sparked the mories of her past life.

She realized that in her mories, there was no existence of either the Situ Family or the Loo Family.

It was a very abnormal phenonon because it was well-known that her grandfather, Old Master Situ, and her maternal grandfather, Old Master Loo, were influential figures in the central governnt and could be considered founding figures of the nation.

Situ Xin’s father, uncles, and maternal uncles currently held significant posts in the central governnt and even throughout Country H, where they were considered prominent figures.

But in the mories of her previous life, Situ Xin had never heard of any country leaders with the surna Situ or Loo.

“How could this be, with my grandfathers’ current status and influence, there should be records of them,” wondered Situ Xin.

Even if the Situ Family and Loo Family had gradually declined and withdrawn from the political stage, records of their existence would remain.

Even if ordinary people didn’t know, as a special agent of Country H, how could she be ignorant of such information?

After all, when she joined the organization and underwent training, it was required to learn all the information about individuals who had held central positions in other nations, even if so of them were related to her own family.

Given the current power of the Situ Family and the Loo Family, there definitely should be docunted records.

Regrettably, Situ Xin was certain she had never co across any such information regarding them.

Situ Xin knew sothing was wrong, but this realization only made her more confused internally.

“Could it be that this world isn’t the sa one in which I lived my previous life?

Are all my previous understandings incorrect?” Situ Xin was now struggling to make sense of things.

“Little sister, what are you up to?

Are you bored?

Let Big Brother keep you company,” said Situ Jin as he ca looking for her, having finished his classes, while Situ Xin was grappling with her thoughts.

“My God, why did Big Brother choose now to co and play with ?” Situ Xin thought.

She had no interest in playing at the mont; she was eager to figure out what was happening, and she had a nagging premonition that there was sothing extraordinary about the situation.

Situ Xin intended to ignore Situ Jin by keeping her head down, but how could Situ Jin miss such a perfect opportunity?

Old Master Situ and Old Master Loo were not present, aning nobody could vie with him for Situ Xin’s attention.

Situ Jin had always been envious when other family mbers held Situ Xin; he thought she felt soft and warm and found her very comforting to hold.

However, being young himself, he was the only one in the family who had never had the chance to hold her.

Looking around, Situ Jin said, “Good, there’s no one here.” He sighed with relief and then turned to Situ Xin, “Co on, let Big Brother hold you.” Hearing Situ Jin wanted to hold her, Situ Xin quickly raised her head.

“What, he wants to hold her?

How big does he think he is?”

Before Situ Xin could react, Situ Jin had already reached under her arms and began to lift, strenuously hoisting Situ Xin up.

The way Situ Jin held her made Situ Xin very uncomfortable.

As she was about to protest, by chance, Old Madam Situ appeared.

“Oh my goodness, my precious granddaughter, do put her down before she gets dropped.” Saying this, Old Madam Situ quickly stepped forward and snatched Situ Xin from Situ Jin’s arms.

Nestled in Old Madam Situ’s arms, Situ Xin finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“Grandma, I want to hold my little sister.” Situ Jin looked discontentedly at Old Madam Situ as she took Situ Xin from his hands.

“Jin, you’re still small, and you might hurt your sister if you hold her,” Old Madam Situ said patiently, trying to persuade him.

“When can I hold her, then?

Big Brother gets to,” complained Situ Jin, genuinely longing to hold his sister.

“When you grow up and are strong enough, you can hold your sister,” Old Madam Situ said, her heart aching at her grandson’s woeful expression, so she hastened to comfort him.

“I can hold her when I have enough strength?” Situ Jin asked, frowning.

“Then I need to practice martial arts diligently, so I can hold her.” Ever since Situ Jin started his ho education, Old Master Situ had hired a retired special forces soldier to teach martial arts to him.

Situ Xin had seen this soldier’s skills and was quite satisfied; at the very least, he was more than capable of teaching Situ Jin.

During this ti, Situ Xin spent her days with a furrowed brow, thinking about the issue so much that she couldn’t even muster the enthusiasm to train.

“Yo, our Baby has been off lately, frowning all the ti like an old man,” said Old Master Situ, holding Situ Xin and finding her frowning face particularly endearing.

Ignoring Old Master Situ, Situ Xin turned to Old Madam Situ when she joined the conversation, “Exactly, I don’t know what’s been bothering Baby lately.

I have seen her frowning several tis, as if she’s pondering sothing, but a child so young, what could she possibly be contemplating?”

“That’s not necessarily true.

My Baby is smarter than the average child.

Right, Baby?” Old Master Situ bead, praising Situ Xin.

She snapped out of her reverie and wrapped her arms around Old Master Situ’s neck, nodding in agreent.

Seeing Situ Xin respond to his question, Old Master Situ was very pleased.

“You see, Old Madam, I told you our Baby is smart.

She even answered my question,” Old Master Situ said laughingly, “Co on, Baby, let’s go read so books with grandfather.”

Situ Xin was carried by Old Master Situ into his study, a room she had never entered before.
