262: Chapter 262 Handling (1)_1 262: Chapter 262 Handling (1)_1 Actually, if it weren’t for the Dragon Society, Loo Jianxin really might have fallen victim to the Qian Family’s sches.

Although the Loo Family has significant influence in the political realm of Capital City, sotis there are matters that can’t be resolved by influence alone.

Clearly, Old Master Loo understood this principle well.

He softened his previously grim expression, and looked at Situ Xin with indulgence, saying, “Baby, we owe you a great debt for this matter.”

“Grandpa, we are all family, it’s what I should do.

What do you think we should do about the Qian Family now?” Situ Xin waved dismissively, speaking nonchalantly.

“The Qian Family.” When Old Master Loo ntioned the Qian Family, there was a gnashing of teeth.

“Since soone from the Qian Family dared to sche against the Loo Family, they must be ready to face our wrath.

Oh, Xiao Juan, call your father—no, I’ll call him myself,” Old Master Loo, like Situ Xin, hadn’t forgotten about the slight connection between the Lu Family and the Qian Family.

Yet, he knew that if Old Master Lu learned about this matter, he certainly wouldn’t let the Qian Family off easily.

Even so, it still warranted giving notice.

Old Master Loo made it clear that they would deal with the Qian Family, but he didn’t provide an imdiate answer on how they would do so.

After receiving Old Master Loo’s call, Lu Juan’s father, Old Master Lu, rushed to their ho.

The three elderly gentlen spoke for more than an hour in the study before erging.

Instead of directly telling Situ Xin and the others how they planned to handle the matter, Old Master Loo left it to Situ Xin: “Baby, Grandpa is entrusting this matter to you.

Can you handle it?”

Situ Xin hadn’t expected that after all the discussion the three elders had in the study, it would co to this conclusion.

She had wondered whether the three elders might have concerns about suppressing the Qian Family outright, choosing instead to give only a minor warning.

“I can handle it.

I’ll make sure the people of the Qian Family regret their actions deeply,” Situ Xin was no pushover, her nature was not one to suffer fools or setbacks lightly.

After entrusting the matter to Situ Xin, the three elders really didn’t concern themselves with it anymore.

Situ Xin’s uncles and maternal uncles all ca to her, asking how she intended to proceed, but every ti, she kept her lips sealed, not giving them even a scrap of information.

Once Old Master Loo had assigned the task to her, Situ Xin took over the collaboration case between Loo’s and Qian’s.

Qian Yanxue’s father liked to play tricks in contracts, so Situ Xin decided to let the Qian Family taste their own dicine.

Situ Xin copied the contract between Loo’s and Qian’s, producing two copies, one to take to The Dark Division, one to the Dragon Society.

Both The Dark Division and the Dragon Society were filled with experts, and she had those well-versed in legal matters from both groups help her find ways to exploit the contract against the Qian Family.

Just as Situ Xin was about to take action, the Qian Family was already growing restless.

The Qian Family, the brother of Qian Yanxue, Qian Xuelu, called his sister to inquire about Loo Jianxin’s situation.

But when he called his sister, her phone was off.

He went to the company and all the places where Qian Yanxue might be, yet he couldn’t find her.

At that mont, Qian Xuelu had a bad premonition.

It was then that he sobered up to the reality of the Loo Family’s standing in Capital City, realizing that their little tricks could never fool Old Master Loo.

At that thought, cold sweat stread down his back.

He paced back and forth in the office, his mind in turmoil.

The more he thought about it, the more he was convinced that Loo Jianxin must have discovered their sches, and that his sister Qian Yanxue might have been captured by the Loo Family.

Upon this realization, Qian Xuelu couldn’t sit still.

He had been emboldened by his family’s status and connections to act arrogantly outside, but in truth, he was a coward at heart.

Now, truly facing a crisis, he was scared.

Qian Xuelu’s first instinct was to co clean to Old Master Qian in his family.

When Qian Xuelu got ho, he went straight to Old Master Qian and confessed everything without holding back, telling of all the misdeeds he and Qian Xueyan had done.

Initially, there was little change in Old Master Qian’s expression.

However, when Qian Xuelu ntioned the possibility of the Loo Family having discovered their actions and said that Qian Yanxue was nowhere to be found, Old Master Qian couldn’t remain seated.

He berated Qian Xuelu and Qian Yanxue, calling them both idiots for failing to accomplish anything.

After scolding Qian Xuelu, Old Master Qian knew that it wasn’t the ti to berate anyone.

He quickly picked up the phone to contact his associates in an attempt to determine Qian Yanxue’s whereabouts and the Loo Family’s next moves.

When Old Master Qian heard from his contacts that his granddaughter Qian Yanxue had been detained, but did not receive a clear answer on who exactly was behind it—no matter how much he pressed, the only thing he was told was that the Qian Family was in for a disaster, having ssed with soone they should not have provoked.

After hanging up, Old Master Qian slumped onto the sofa, staring blankly ahead for a long while before he could gather his thoughts.

Turning to Qian Xuelu, he instructed, “Quick, call your eldest uncle and your father, tell them to rush back here imdiately.”

Old Master Qian summoned the entire family back ho, disclosing the situation to them and urging everyone to look into it and figure out the details.

But what Old Master Qian couldn’t have anticipated was that all those in the know had been issued a gag order by Situ Xin.

Even the one who had told Old Master Qian about Qian Yanxue’s capture had done so under Situ Xin’s direction.

The Qian Family was frantic these past days, yet unable to obtain any information.

They didn’t dare to contact the police and could only run around in desperate circles like headless flies.

Situ Xin observed all of this from the sidelines.

She hadn’t imdiately moved against the Qian Family, wanting to see how they would behave when faced with unknown terror.

About two days later, feeling that the prelude had gone on long enough, Situ Xin had Situ Muli call Qian Xuelu to discuss the cooperation between Qian’s and Loo’s.

As Qian Xuelu hung up the phone, he said to Old Master Qian with a tense face, “Grandfather, the Loo Family has called, saying they want to discuss the matter of our cooperation.”
