131: Chapter 131: Treating Illness (1)_1 131: Chapter 131: Treating Illness (1)_1 “Old Master Deng was just ntioning you three, and here you co,” said the old da who was feeding porridge to the bedridden Old Master Deng, with a kind and benevolent expression.

“Old Sister-in-law,” Old Master Situ and the other two greeted her respectfully before adding, “Is that so?

Then our arrival is quite tily.

By the way, Baby, co here and greet everyone.” Old Master Situ waved Situ Xin over, signaling her to step forward from where she had been standing behind them.

“Oh, whose child is this?

She’s very pretty and spirited.

She’s going to be quite sothing when she grows up,” Old Lady Deng couldn’t help but praise after seeing Situ Xin.

Old Deng, who had always been fond of children, found her especially eye-catching.

“Yes, she’s grown up quite well.

Situ, is this your precious granddaughter?” Old Deng, who had not spoken a word since entering, now addressed Situ Xin.

“Yes, my granddaughter,” Old Master Situ boasted in front of Old Deng.

“Look at this old boy, showing off his precious granddaughter to us every ti he sees us,” Old Deng chuckled to his wife after glancing at Old Master Situ.

“Grandpa Deng, Grandma Deng, hello,” Situ Xin played the part of the well-behaved child perfectly.

Her sweet greeting instantly won the hearts of both Old Deng and Old Lady Deng.

“Good, good.

Old lady, hurry up and give the child sothing nice to eat,” Old Deng told his wife before turning to Situ Xin and waving her over.

“Kid, what’s your na, and how old are you today?”

“Grandpa Deng, my na is Situ Xin, and I am nine years old this year,” Situ Xin approached Old Deng’s bedside and replied politely.

As she answered Old Deng’s questions, she studied him carefully, her mories reflecting that she had only seen Old Deng’s appearance in docunts during her past life; she had not had the chance to encounter the man himself because she was still in training within the organization when he passed away.

Old Deng was now over ninety years old and his body had beco very thin, the toll of illness evident upon his features.

However, his spirit was quite strong.

“Already nine,” Old Deng touched Situ Xin’s head with a hint of emotion in his voice.

“Old Master Loo, we brought Baby here today for a reason,” said Old Master Loo, who had yet to find a chance to speak before.

“Oh?

What’s the matter with bringing Xiao Xin here?” Old Deng asked, puzzled.

As he spoke, his mind spun without understanding why these three would bring a child to see him.

“Do you rember us telling you a few days ago about finding a traditional Chinese dicine practitioner to take a look at you?” Old Master Xiao followed up the conversation.

“Yes, I rember.

Does what you’re talking about now have sothing to do with that?” Old Deng inquired with skepticism.

“Yes, Baby has been learning traditional Chinese dicine from her master since she was young, and her master is quite capable.

We originally wanted to ask Baby’s master to examine you, but her master is a reclusive expert, and aside from Baby, he doesn’t want to et anyone.

So, we thought of asking Baby to take your pulse and then tell her master the diagnosis to see if he can provide a treatnt plan,” explained Old Master Loo.

“You all, are you confident about this?” Old Lady Deng had gone to fetch sothing edible for Situ Xin, and upon re-entering, she heard Old Master Loo’s words and said with excitent.

“To tell you the truth, we aren’t certain.

We thought of this thod because we’re really out of options,” Old Master Situ admitted.

In fact, he was anxious about bringing Situ Xin to see Old Master Deng.

“Oh my, old lady, don’t get too worked up.

If Situ and the others brought it up, it surely won’t harm .

Moreover, can anything be worse than my current condition?” Old Master Deng said calmly, unlike the excited Old Lady Deng.

He had long accepted the nature of life and death.

While death might not frighten him, he still had unfinished business in this world and hence so hope.

“Did you say just now, that you want Baby to treat ?” he asked, looking at Situ Xin and then raising his head.

“Yes, it’s Baby,” Old Master Situ responded with a heartbeat that raced on end, while Situ Xin confidently walked to Old Master Deng’s bedside.

“Grandpa Deng, please stretch out your hand,” she instructed.

Old Deng extended his hand as Situ Xin had directed, and she placed her own small, plump white hand upon Old Deng’s wrist.

Her manner of taking the pulse, had there been a dical professional present, would have drawn praise for its proficiency.

Situ Xin didn’t take long to finish taking the pulse and soon retracted her little hand.

She didn’t speak imdiately, thinking to herself, “Just like the reports said in my previous life, advanced Parkinson’s disease.”

After choosing her words, she explained, “Grandpa Deng, you have Parkinson’s disease, which you’ve had for quite a long ti, over a decade now.

And it has reached the advanced stages,” Situ Xin reported as Old Lady Deng nodded continually.

“Parkinson’s disease affects the nervous system, aning that after contracting it, the nervous system doesn’t work well.

It can affect coughing, eating, and normal movent.

As for Grandpa Deng, it has now progressed to his breathing.”

“Then Xiao Xin, is there a way to treat it?” Old Lady Deng asked urgently, setting aside what she had been holding and approaching Situ Xin with concern on her face imdiately after Situ Xin had finished speaking.

Even Old Deng, who had been listening to Situ Xin, was stirred from his calm deanor into excitent.

“I can treat this disease,” Situ Xin confidently declared.

But she was imdiately interrupted by Old Master Situ, “Xiao Xin, life is serious, it’s not a joke.

I think it’s better to consult your master first.”

“Grandpa, don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.

You know I’m not soone who does things without being sure,” Situ Xin reassured him, and seeing Old Master Loo and Old Master Xiao about to interject, she smiled and said, “Grandfather, Grandpa Xiao, trust .”
