Due to Xie Han’s hospitalization, the shooting schedule for the television drama had to continue to be delayed.

Qin Zhao didn’t let her agent continue to take on scripts, because she’d already paid off the thirty million debt, she wasn’t interested in acting, and she had to focus on cultivation.

Although the world’s Spiritual Energy was thin, she still confidently believed she could achieve Divinity Transformation within two hundred years and ascend to reunite with her master in the Immortal Realm.

As she entered the hospital, Qin Zhao’s attention was suddenly drawn to a building.

The weather today was great, cloudless, but that building was enveloped in a layer of dark clouds. These dark clouds were not floating above the rooftop but had settled around the lower floors, growing denser with each level.

"Why does it feel especially cold around building three?"

"Yeah, I’m getting goosebumps from the cold."

"It might be because of the air vent."

Qin Zhao walked towards building three, passing by several nurses who were rubbing their arms and comnting.

But in Qin Zhao’s eyes, they were not coming out of building three, but rather erging from a dense, dark grey fog.

This thick fog was condensed yin energy, invisible to ordinary people, but capable of being felt as bone-chilling cold. Long-term exposure to yin energy could even be harmful to one’s health.

Qin Zhao stopped a nurse and inquired, "What is building three used for?"

"Most of it is laboratories, and the morgue is on the ground floor."

Hearing the word "morgue," Qin Zhao had a clue.

Such heavy yin energy was likely coming from the morgue.

But the previous tis she passed by building three, she only sensed a faint hint of yin energy, so weak that she disdain to absorb it. Now, however, it was so intense there must be sothing wrong.

If it was a person who died normally, the yin energy in the morgue wouldn’t be so strong.

Qin Zhao planned to go inside to see if there were any specters causing trouble. If she found any, she could subdue them and then absorb the yin energy here to aid in her cultivation.

Just as she entered building three, from afar, she saw a familiar figure.

"Boss, there’s been a problem with a corpse in the morgue."

The person in the distance had a tall and upright stature, dressed in a clean white lab coat, and even from the back, there was an aura of strong restraint.

The assistant wasn’t calling for Dr. Chu but "boss." Because Chu Yan was not only the top doctor in Imperial City’s first district but also the largest shareholder of the hospital.

"A patient had signed an organ donation before dying, and the family agreed as well. We were supposed to harvest her organs today, but we can’t find her body anywhere."

Organ donation required the necessary organs to be harvested soon after the patient’s death. If too much ti passed, the organs would be unusable.

"The patients waiting for transplants are counting on us, and if we can’t find that body today, it’s going to delay treatnt, and we’ll have to match them with other organs."

Chu Yan frowned slightly and asked, "Have you counted the total number of corpses?"

"They just went to count them."

As they spoke, the two reached the entrance to the morgue.

"So, did you find anything?"

A nurse walked out from inside, eyes filled with a bit of panic even with a mask on.

"We still haven’t found it. We’ve been checking each corpse against the patient’s photo. Not finding it is one thing, but we found sothing very strange."

"What?"

"The total number of corpses hasn’t changed."

With those words, everyone’s expressions shifted.

They couldn’t find the body at all, but the total number remained unchanged. Where did this extra corpse co from?

"Damn, soone didn’t switch the bodies, did they?"

The assistant Ling Yi felt a chill down his spine, and the dimly lit morgue suddenly seed more ominous.

"Let’s find that extra corpse first."

Chu Yan narrowed his eyes slightly, a glimr of darkness flashing within, "Additionally, pull up the nearby surveillance footage and see if there’s been any suspicious activity in and out of the morgue."

"We can only do that now. I’ll have them print out all the bodies’ information, and we’ll go through each one."

Chu Yan nodded, "You guys go print out the information and check the surveillance, I’m going to take a look inside."

"Okay."

Ling Yi and the nurse walked off first.

Chu Yan stood at the door for a mont, seemingly sensing sothing, and turned to look behind him.

But he saw no one.

A frown creased his brow and, after a long while, he looked away.

Around the corner of the corridor, Qin Zhao’s back was pressed against the wall as she held her breath.

She had been following right behind Chu Yan and his assistant and overheard their conversation.

As she drew closer to the morgue, the surrounding yin energy beca increasingly dense. She moved the spiritual power within her body to guide the yin energy into herself and then transford it into spiritual power.

Qin Zhao planned to first absorb all the outside yin energy before going in to check the morgue.

"Xiao Hui, what’s wrong?"

"Ah! There’s a ghost!"

Suddenly, a scream emanated from the nurses in the morgue.

Qin Zhao’s expression turned stern, and she hurried towards the direction of the morgue.

Upon arriving at the doorway, she found the doctors and nurses inside had all fainted on the floor.

A wisp of soul floated up from a body, wrapped in a powerful hatred and resentful energy, especially when it saw those white coats—the eyes of the doctors turned violently red with madness.

"I’ll kill you all! Co join in hell!"

The disheveled woman stretched out her sharp fingers, enveloped in a thick layer of yin energy.

The yin energy masked a doctor’s face like a veil, and his complexion gradually turned ashen.

Qin Zhao quickly intervened, waving away the yin energy from the doctor’s face.

"Don’t you want to be reincarnated?"

"I advise you not to ddle in others’ affairs!"

The woman, seeing Qin Zhao and noting her lack of a white coat, seed less ferocious, "I just want to kill all the doctors here, all of them! It has nothing to do with you, get lost!"

"You’ve only recently died, and your hands haven’t been stained with blood yet; you can still be reincarnated. But if you kill these people, and a ghost ssenger catches you, you are likely to be sent to the Eighteen Layers of Hell."

"I’ve been in hell for a long ti!" The woman’s soul twisted with a painful expression, "Even if I have to suffer forever, I want to kill these beasts!"

"The real beasts aren’t here; these people are innocent."

"No! All these doctors deserve to die!"

Suddenly, Qin Zhao appeared in front of her, lightly tapping the center of her brow with her fingertip.

Under the influence of spiritual power, the woman’s resentnt faded slightly, and her expression cleared.

"I’ll help you get your revenge, and you can peacefully be reincarnated. Otherwise,"

Her beautiful peach-blossom eyes suddenly turned icy, "I’ll scatter your soul and spirit before you commit any evil. If you don’t believe , you can try."

The woman felt an overpowering pressure emanating from Qin Zhao. The tap of her fingertip on her brow made her feel subservient, leaving her completely unwilling to rebel.

"What’s your na?"

"You Yuzhen."

You Yuzhen responded obediently, tempering the fierceness about her.

With hopeful inquiry, she asked Qin Zhao, "Can you really help get revenge? But the person has already left this hospital, I can’t leave this place, so I can’t find him to take my revenge."
