Isadora took a step back, keeping her heated gaze scorched on him. "What happens when you catch ?"

A glint shone in his eyes. "When I catch you... Find out."

"That’s not fair."

"I’m never fair," he mused. "You better run, my little bunny, this ti not for freedom but a promise."

"A promise for what?"

"A promise of my devotion to you."

Isadora smiled. "I won’t make it easy for you, Kraven."

"I love a challenge, darling. Make it worthwhile."

"Don’t cut yourself."

Kraven narrowed his eyes at her words. "It’s the only way I can touch you."

"You can touch if you truly want to, Kraven. Not even your thirst should stop that. Prove it." She turned on her heels and bolted.

Kraven barked a laugh, the re sound echoing through the air. "Fine, darling, have it your way. Don’t bla for what happens."

He vanished in a trail of dark weaves.

Isadora leaned against the tree. Her chest heaving as she tried to steady her breathing.

She turned her head and peeked, eyes squinting to skim through the dark. There was nothing in sight, just the still trees and bushes.

Yet, she could feel his eyes upon her. She needed to cover up more distance, which would give her enough ti to mask her aura.

Isadora leaned away from the tree, keeping her eyes rooted in place as if he would appear the instant she took them away.

"You make this too easy, darling."

Startled by the sudden gravelly voice, she twirled and found Kraven before her, a wicked smirk curled on those kissable lips of his.

Isadora had to clench her hands to her sides, to keep from doing anything stupid... yet.

"Are you sure about that?" She backed away before turning on her heel and bolting once again.

This ti, Isadora didn’t stop as she covered a distance in less than an hour, her bare feet digging into the cold ground, but she couldn’t feel it or the dirt biting into her skin, just the excitent coursing through her veins.

It gave her the boost she needed to take control.

She ca to stop, but this ti she closed her eyes and concentrated, silencing her aura in the way her presence erased.

Smirking at her accomplishnt, she dashed into the cover of bushes.

Kraven appeared, stepping out of the dark weaves, the sclera of his eyes darkened as his silvers glowed eerily.

His thirst and desire mingled, slipping through the air as the pressure tightened around him.

He silently prayed to the gods he wouldn’t catch her, because if he did, he didn’t know what he might do. But at the sa ti, he deeply anticipated it.

No one can save her from him, not even the gods.

Hearing a branch snap, he chuckled, walking toward the noise, his heartbeat pulsing beyond control as delight set into his skin.

Isadora ca to an abrupt stop, her eyes fixated on the frozen river, and she took a brief look over her shoulder.

There was an intense feeling of death coming toward her. He was close.

She turned back to the river. This was crazy... but it was her only option. She lifted her gown and moved her feet, standing on the cold ice.

Her heart hamred rapidly in her chest, her ribs pulsing from the re beats.

"This is a bad idea," she voiced. "What if the ice breaks?"

But this was the only way to cover up more distance; circling around would only put her at a greater disadvantage.

"Fuck it!" She growled, running through the ice at speed, for a mont she slipped, a short scream escaping her when she dropped to her knees.

Her blood ran cold as she stared at the ice. There was a crack, and the water inside told her it would be an unforgettable death.

Swallowing a heavy breath, she forced herself to her feet.

"I really don’t know who’s more insane right now."

She gasped, twirling to Kraven. He found her! Her scream must have given out her location.

"It’s no fun if you keep using your weaves!" she yelled. That was the only way he was able to get to her fast. With it, he could move swiftly within the sa location.

He laughed. "I should say the sa for you."

"W-What do you an?" she asked, like it wasn’t obvious what she had done.

He licked his lips—intrigued but a little irritated she threw him off. "For a minute there, I couldn’t feel you. What did you do to your aura?"

She smirked. "Find out for yourself." She turned, attempting to run.

Kraven growled as he grabbed her by the back of her neck and pulled her to him.

"The ga is over, darling."

Isadora elbowed him right in the chin. His grip loosened, and she used that opportunity to slip free, but she yelped when her feet slipped against the ice.

A sharp crack filled the air coming from the ice beneath them.

Isadora’s features ran pale at the noise, and when she was about to get up, Kraven pinned her to it with his body, caging her in place.

Her cheeks pressed against the cold ice as she squird helplessly to break free.

"You made a mistake walking through thin ice," he snapped at her carelessness.

His tongue licked through her neck, tasting her divine skin, filtered with sweat and her wonderful honeyed scent.

"Deal with the consequences." He leaned away and raised her hips.

"What are you doing?" she panicked, feeling the cold air brushing her bare skin.

Kraven had exposed her, pooling the fabric of her gown on her back. "What you deserve." He struck his palm against her asscheeks.

A strangled groan escaped Isadora at the impact, her body leaping forward, making her hips arch more into the air, her breasts pressing uncomfortably on the ice.

"By the olden gods, you’re soaked!" he growled, brushing his finger against her opening, the glimpse of her essence nearly knocked the breath out of him.

A cold chill shot through Isadora’s spine, her hips shalessly moved, to feel more his touch, moaning at the tease.

Kraven chuckled, striking another hit to the sa area. "Filthy little thing."

Isadora moaned, her body quivering beyond control; she couldn’t tell if it was from the cold or the hit. Maybe both.

The sound of his opening zip echoed through the air.

Isadora’s eyes snapped open, her lip parted to form words, but they hung up when he thrusted riotously into her.
