Yes, she was stupid.

She ca to him, alone, with a man who thrived on madness, soone who found joy in blood and chaos. But it was a burden—a curse.

"You didn’t move away, you welcod it," Isadora voiced, ignoring his threatening hand wrapped around her throat, and just with a little push he could snap her neck and call it a night.

"When she touched you," she said again as that pain surfaced, the last thing she wanted and yet it ca.

At first, confusion took over Kraven’s gaze but then they morphed into realization. A slow lazy smirk curled his lips. "Did I?" he taunted. "Are you jealous, Isadora?"

Her teeth clenched, he was playing with her again. He always was.

And jealous? That was the last thing she should feel. Or she thought...

"You can touch whoever you want." The words felt like sand in her mouth and the tightening sensation in her chest ca forth.

He leaned closer. "You were busy yourself. His attention was welcod."

His grip tightened like he wanted to break her neck at the re thought of Rav touching her. Carefree without a single worry or burdened by impulses that wanted to eat his brain alive.

Isadora’s body tensed but her hands remained rooted at her sides. She knew who he spoke of and it was another dawning realization that he was watching the entire ti.

He hurt Rav not because she called him Lord Raven, probably not the only reason.

"And you hurt him," she said, still feeling guilty knowing it was her fault Rav almost lost his arm and Kraven almost lost control.

"And here you are... angry because I hurt your precious Rav or are you here because you pity ? Because Logi told you one or two, you co here, bold and foolish."

"I shouldn’t be here," she said.

"Yes, you shouldn’t," His smirk widened. "And yet here you’re, within reach with that hideous look in your eyes, one I want to rip out from your skull!"

The pressure of his hand tightened again, and unable to contain the discomfort any longer, her hands shot up to grasp his—a silent plea in her eyes for him to stop.

Her touch stirred sothing within Kraven even though it was just to stop her pending doom.

Gods! She was making him lose his fucking mind.

Kraven inhaled sharply as he took his hand away from her, turning his back and said. "Leave."

But Isadora didn’t move, the silence stretched until he finally spoke, his voice low and dark in a murmur. "You’re playing with fire, love."

She swallowed hard, the pressure hanging in her throat, the ghostly feel of his hand wrapped around it was still present. He had almost snapped her neck, for a splitting second she felt it.

Maybe she was playing with fire—a dangerous ga with a madman.

But so was he. He was calm, too calm.

The weight of his chaotic aura hung over the room, his bloodlust, and sothing else mixed with it. The intensity of the air and her mind screaming at her to leave without looking back.

But her feet wouldn’t move, they were pinned on the floor by an invisible force.

His back was still to her, broad, powerful, and unyielding like he dared her to walk away before it was too late. His muscles taunted like he was having an internal battle with himself.

Kraven’s teeth ground together. She was making this difficult for him, the feeling of her piercing gaze burning a hole in his back. It twisted sothing within, stirred a craving that wanted to eat him alive.

She was expecting sothing from him—Just like when she broke down in tears, staring at him with red swollen eyes.

Sothing he couldn’t give.

"Standing there... watching . My patience is wearing thin, or do you want to greet Daudi this hour?"

"I should leave," she replied softly.

"Then why are you still here?"

She opened her mouth to speak but shut them close, biting her bottom lip instead. What could she possibly say to explain herself?

She wanted to stay with him.

Kraven growled as he turned to her swiftly, backing her against the glass, the fra trembling from the force.

His hands didn’t touch her, they didn’t dare to. One braced near her head, then the other in a fist at his side, like he was fighting an impulse.

And his eyes, seven gods! His eyes... They held Isadora in a state of breathless wonder. That eerie glow, the mad glint that had always terrified her to the core—always unleashing a state of terror that crumbled her entire body.

The sa orbs that captivated her when she first laid eyes on them, knowing her fate had been sealed.

They were even more beautiful right now, beyond anything she could ever describe them with. Not even the finest stones could compare to them.

"Say sothing!" Kraven seethed like he wanted her words to alter his next action.

It depended on it because gods knew what he was on the verge of doing. Here she was with those innocent ambers that burned on him like the sunlight, a light in the darkness.

His little bunny was playing with his head—making him feel... confused. He shouldn’t be confused and she shouldn’t ss with his head.

He was already mad, does she want to make him madder?

Isadora’s breath grew raspy. Her gaze shifted to his lips, the sight of them stirred a hunger deep within her.

She had tasted those lips and yet the starvation she felt at this very mont was like she never had before.

’No, don’t do it,’ She begged her body to listen to her. To wield so control and not do anything more stupid.

She had gotten dull and anything else would make her dumber.

But he had to lick his lips, his tongue swiping through them briefly.

And then she lost it, wrapping her arms around his neck and crashing her lips against his.
