[POV: Aria Vance - Sector Eleven, Shattered Expanse]

So Hours Ago

The spatial anomaly pulsed like a wound in reality itself.

Aria floated three hundred ters above the fractured dinsion, her quantum senses extended to maximum range, analyzing the distortion with the thodical precision she’d inherited from her father.

"Readings are off the charts," Mira Brightwind said from her left, voice tight with tension. Her bubbly deanor had vanished the mont they’d entered Sector Eleven—replaced by the focused intensity of a combat specialist who understood when situations turned serious.

Torin Brightwind hovered on Aria’s right, his spatial techniques creating a defensive periter around their six-person team. "Whatever’s causing this, it’s not natural. The dinsional frawork is being actively consud."

"Consud is right," added Marcus Lightblade, the fourth mber of their group. The Eternal Radiance Sect disciple’s aura blazed with 67% Infinity Law as he scanned the anomaly. "I can sense... hunger? Is that even possible from a spatial distortion?"

"It’s possible if it’s not just a distortion," Aria said quietly, her mind processing data streams that would overwhelm most Master-level cultivators. Her Quantum Law—still secret, still hidden even from her teammates—parsed reality at scales her classmates couldn’t perceive.

And what she was sensing made her frown.

The fifth team mber, Celeste Voidwalker, materialized from a spatial fold beside them. The silver-haired specialist’s expression was grim. "I just scouted the periter. Whatever’s in there has already devoured three pocket dinsions filled with life as in sentient beings, the death count are unimaginable. Gone completely. There is no residue or fragnts. Its just... gone."

"That’s impossible," the sixth mber—Jin Silversky—said flatly. His mysterious aura, usually so controlled, rippled with genuine concern. "Dinsions don’t just vanish. They collapse, they fragnt, they rge, but they don’t cease to exist."

"They do if sothing’s eating them," Aria replied, her analysis completing. "Everyone, defensive formation. We’re not dealing with an anomaly. We’re probably dealing with a Void Creature and its almost certainly devourer class."

The temperature—taphorically speaking, since they were in dinsional space—dropped several degrees.

"A Devourer-class?" Mira’s voice cracked slightly. "Aria, those are Sovereign-level threats. Academy protocol says we abort and call for backup if—"

"If we abort, it’ll consu another dozen dinsions filled with life before backup arrives," Aria interrupted, her tone calm but firm. "Each dinsion contains quadrillions of lives. We’re Master-level cultivators. This is literally what we trained for."

She turned to face her team, and despite being the youngest, despite having only been at the academy for a few months, her presence commanded absolute attention.

"Torin, I need you on spatial lockdown—prevent it from escaping through dinsional jumps. Celeste, work with him, create escape routes for us if things go wrong. Marcus, you’re our hamr—when I give the signal, hit it with everything you’ve got. Jin, periter defense and backup. Mira..."

Aria smiled at her roommate and closest friend. "You’re with on the front line. Close combat specialists together."

Mira’s nervousness transford into a fierce grin. "Now you’re speaking my language."

"What about you?" Jin asked, his calculating eyes studying Aria with that peculiar intensity that suggested he knew she was far more than she appeared.

"I’ll be bait," Aria said simply. "And when it commits, we kill it."

Before anyone could argue, the anomaly convulsed.

The spatial wound spasd—and sothing crawled out.

A shadow the size of a fortress, dripping with paradox energy.

The Void Devourer.

Its first step sent concentric shockwaves rippling across the Shattered Expanse, each ripple erasing tiny pocket-spaces like bubbles popping in boiling water.

Six obsidian arms unfolded, each one cracking reality like dried glass. Geotric glyphs crawled across its hide, rearranging in higher-dinsional patterns that made the eye twitch if stared at too long.

Then it roared.

A conceptual bellow—silent but felt—its aning burned directly into cognition:

HUNGER. FOOD.

Reality quivered. Dinsional layers peeled like wet paper.

"Not happening today," Aria muttered.

Her aura pulsed outward—Infinity Law: Fractal Boundary Field—a defense grid of recursive geotry. The Devourer’s hunger waves slamd into her field and shattered harmlessly into mathematical dust.

The creature’s eyes narrowed.

It attacked.

One mont it was beside the tear.

The next—

FLASH.

It crossed three hundred ters in an eyeblink, six arms descending in a converging temporal spiral.

⟐ Devouring Fang Sixfold—Apex Rend.

A technique born not of intelligence but of evolutionary instinct—an attack ant to erase dinsions, not just kill prey.

Aria slipped through the strikes with fluid impossibility, her body flickering through micro-positions between planar layers.

Quantum Step: Zero-Error Drift.

Each dodge executed at the mathematically perfect angle, letting the claws pass within nanoters yet never touch.

The space behind her split open like a ruptured seam, a thousand tiny dinsions bleeding out before collapsing.

"NOW!" she shouted.

Torin and Celeste slamd their palms into empty air.

Spatial Lockdown Formation: Eightfold Anchor Coffin.

Eight blue-black pillars erupted from nothing, locking the battlefield in a rigid dinsional cage. The Devourer tried to fold space—

It failed.

Reality had beco solid.

Marcus followed with his opener.

Radiant Convergence Art: Starfall Spear.

A column of condensed radiance—like a newborn sun forced into the shape of a spear—crashed into the Devourer’s chest. Cracks spiderwebbed across obsidian flesh.

It held.

The cracks began to heal.

"Physical durability is absurd!" Marcus shouted. "Law attacks aren’t enough!"

"Then break it with your fists!" Mira yelled, aura erupting like wildfire. "Close combat it is!"

Mira blurred forward, knives trailing arcs of compressed kinetic force.

Bladestorm Form: Thousand-Strike Barrage.

She hamred the Devourer’s lower arms with relentless precision, each blow slipping between dinsional plates of armor.

Aria t the upper arms head-on.

Her movents beca art.

Quantum Combat Form: Probability Override.

She flowed around attacks that would have crushed planets, her counterstrikes carrying compressed Infinity Law.

Her first serious blow landed—

Infinity Compression Strike: Anchor-Breaker.

A punch that targeted the Devourer’s dinsional joints, not its flesh.

The creature’s chest dented inward. It staggered.

A conceptual scream echoed.

Jin materialized at its flank, silver threads bursting from his sleeves.

Silver Dominion Art: Reality-Binding Chains.

Two of the Devourer’s arms locked in place.
