"What!?" Shi Yue exclaid, utterly stunned that he had seemingly taken her words seriously as so sort of inspiration.
Even more perplexing was the fact that he managed to maintain his balance on the back of the moving dragon. 'H-How is he not falling? What kind of sorcery is this?' she thought, utterly bewildered by his defiance of everything she knew.

Finally, both the qilin and the dragon landed on a sandy beach, far removed from human civilization, in the untad heart of an abandoned island.
The sun was already high in the sky, marking the arrival of a new day.
