“I'll have Grayfia resign officially and we can start looking for another replacent.” Sirzechs said, as if that solved all their problems.

Ajuka looked at him like he was an idiot.

“What is it?” Sirzechs asked.

“You literally just proved what the grievance paperwork implied about you having control of the Satans and the governnt as a whole.” Ajuka pointed out.

“No, I didn't. I just said I'll order her to quit. Problem solved.” Sirzechs said, again as if he knew what was best.

Ajuka shook his head and pulled out his stamp from a pocket and stamped his copy. “Falbium.”

The other man woke from his nap and stamped his own copy of the paperwork and closed his eyes as he slumped back in his chair.

Sirzechs looked surprised at that move. “Why did you approve it?”

“You just told us that you were going to order a fellow Satan to quit one of the top spots in the governnt as if her position ant nothing.” Ajuka said. “Dissolving all personal and political ties to another Satan in this case is fully deserved.”

“I agree. Stop being an ass.” Falbium said, his eyes still closed.

“Removing Grayfia fixes everything she complained about.” Sirzechs said.

“No, it doesn't. What you wanted to do was to remove the source and not to fix it.” Ajuka said. “Appointing Miss Lucifuge as the new Satan didn't break any laws, because we haven't gathered together to make any decisions yet. If we had, we would have violated several of them.”

Sirzechs gave him a pointed look. “We're gathered and making a decision right now.”

Ajuka waved a hand at the three small piles of papers and they disappeared. “Our fellow Satan was the one to propose the solution to fix the problem and we are voting on that. If any of our own constituents knew how much of a monopoly you have over the governnt without fixing it, we would lose all of our credibility as a responsible governnt and the Old Satan faction will regain all of their lost prestige as they rake us over the coals for it.”

Sirzechs sighed. “Dissolving my marriage doesn't solve the problem. Why can't you see that?”

“If you had read the proposal all the way through before complaining about it, you would know she also asked to be removed from your Peerage.”

“WHAT?!?” Sirzechs yelled and jumped to his feet.

“Use your indoor voice.” Falbium grumbled, his arms crossed. “What are you, a child?”

Sirzechs tried to glare at the man and it was wasted, since Falbium had his eyes closed and wasn't looking at him.

“You are outvoted, Sirzechs.” Ajuka said and stood as well. “I'll handle the process personally.”

Ajuka smiled at him. “I did nothing of the sort, Sirzechs. You did that.”

Sirzechs looked surprised. “What do you an?”

“What was it you said in the orders you gave to her? About doing everything she could to secure Mister Hyoudou's thods of impregnation?” Ajuka asked.

Sirzechs surprise changed to horror. “I didn't an for her to do that!”

“No?” Ajuka asked an walked around the table to look into his friend's eyes. “Did you or did you not order your Queen to obtain proof that he could get anyone pregnant?”

“Then Miss Lucifuge is doing exactly what you wanted her to do.” Ajuka said and patted his friend's shoulder. “The political marriage you used to secure the support of a good portion of the undecided devils after the war will be dissolved. It served its purpose long ago and is no longer neded, now that its interfering with the current political landscape.”

Sirzechs didn't say anything in response.

“You even gained a child from it, so it did more than you thought it would.” Ajuka reminded him and walked towards the door of the room. “I'll have your Queen Piece returned to your possession within half an hour.”

Sirzechs stood there and could do nothing to stop his friend from cutting out a huge part of his life. The door shut with a soft thump and he dropped to his chair and hung his head down in sha.
