In his office, Mo Yixuan placed stacks of contracts in his drawer, then raised his hand to look at his watch. It was 5:35 PM.

He stood up and placed both hands on his desk, then looked at Yang Mingyu.

“Mingyu, I’ll head back now. Please drop a call if there is anything urgent to attend to.” He said brusquely, then stuffed his handphone and his car keys into his pocket.

Yang Mingyu tossed the pen he had been signing the docunts with on the table, then look at his friend with a complicated gaze.

“What’s wrong with you?” Mo Yixuan felt irritated by his friend’s gaze. Why was he looking at him in such a strange manner?

Yang Mingyu’s lips curled into a cold smile and he smiled disdainfully.

He rembered that his friend would never take off so early in the past. Mo Yixuan tended to stay in the office till it was late at night. Yet, he had been leaving work on ti just like an ordinary employee. He knew that Yixuan was rushing ho to be with his son.

The birth of his son had truly changed his friend.

He could not hold back a sigh, his head was filled with the woman he had t a few weeks earlier. That woman insisted on taking on everything by herself. She was now even going to give birth alone. He guessed that she would be due anyti now and hoped that she would have a safe delivery.

It was not even 6:30 PM when Mo Yixuan reached ho. It was obvious from his hurried footsteps that he was anxious to be ho.

The mont he entered the living room, he saw the nanny holding his child.

“Give him to .” He reached out his hands and carefully took his child from the nanny’s arms.

The child had grown bigger and he now looked better than when he was first born. His skin was smooth and soft and his features beca more apparent.

The nanny, He Huiyun, snuck a glance at Mo Yixuan. She wanted to see how much they resembled each other. However, after a few glances, she was still not able to see where their resemblance lay. This child was not ugly but he was not considered beautiful either; he was not even as beautiful as her own child.

Most children would resemble their parents but this child did not take after Mister Mo’s handso and striking features, nor Miss Xia’s beautiful and elegant features.

“What’s the matter?” Mo Yixuan turned to stare at the nanny. That woman seed to be constantly staring at him and it made him extrely uncomfortable.

He Huiyun quickly shook her head.

“It’s nothing. I noticed that the child is growing more and more beautiful and is starting to look more like yourself. In particular, his eyes look almost like a copy of yours.” She said untruthfully but she did not dare to blurt out her true thoughts. She would probably lose her tongue if she did so.

Mo Yixuan reached out to pinch his son’s soft cheeks.

His son would naturally resemble him. Who else could he take after, he thought. He probably looked like that as an infant. His son would definitely grow up to be a tall and handso man.

Xia Yuwei ca down the stairs and supported her waist with her hands, as though she was exhausted. She smiled prettily when she saw the man in the hall.

“Yixuan, I’ve asked for the wedding planner to arrange for our marital ho to be redecorated. You should go and have a look too. The makeup artist also ca by today and asked for my opinion.” Xu Yuwei smiled and her pretty face was filled with the expectant hope of a bride-to-be. She only spoke of the things that mattered most to her, while not even sparing a glance at her own son.

The wedding would be held in five days. She had been counting down in excitent and did not rember when was the last ti she looked forward to sothing that much.
