Translator: Larbre Studio Editor: Larbre Studio

The two won spoke in soft whispers along the corridor and didn’t even notice that Yuan Yuan had already walked a few ters away from them.

The little kid seed to sense that they were talking about him and he suddenly loosened his grip and sat on the floor and started to wail loudly.

“Ma ma...” Yuan Yuan stretched out his tiny hands and rubbed hard at his eyes. He cried pitifully and soon, his small face turned red.

He rolled on the floor and ended up lying on his stomach, then he started to crawl forward with all his might.

He stared at the room at the end of the corridor with his teary eyes. That was his mother’s room and his mother was inside.

“Ma ma...” Yuan Yuan used all his might to crawl forward and cried out for his mother at the sa ti.

He looked extrely pitiful lying there sprawled out on the ground.

nglin and Wang Lan stopped gossiping and rushed forward to carry the child.

“Good boy... Don’t cry. Shall I bring you to look for sothing nice to eat?” nglin gently patted his back and she felt extrely worried when she saw how hard he was crying and was afraid that he might have injured himself.

Wang Lan went downstairs to get so milk but she was very annoyed. This annoying little brat didn’t really cry but wailed so loudly after they were in charge of looking after him.

He was clearly at odds with them.

He Xiyan imdiately heard her child crying when she erged from the restroom.

She opened the door to the room.

She took a look and saw Yuan Yuan on the corridor crying with all his might in nglin’s arms.

“What’s wrong?” He Xiyan walked over anxiously and gently stroked his head. She felt as though a knife had slashed across her heart and it suddenly clenched painfully.

Her child was a very well-behaved kid and barely cried once a day.

“I don’t know either,” nglin said innocently, ‘I was looking after him together with Wang Lan as he walked while supporting himself against the wall. He didn’t fall or anything but suddenly burst into tears.”

“Ma ma...” Yuan Yuan pouted pitifully when he saw his mother as though he felt extrely aggrieved.

He Xiyan carefully wiped the tears off her child’s forehead and carefully checked his hands and head to confirm that he wasn’t injured.

Then, she said, “Carry him to the bedroom. Scoop a bowl of millet congee from the kitchen, then bring a few diapers over.”

Yuan Yuan finally stopped crying after he entered the bedroom. He sat on the sofa and pouted his small lips while he used his small hands to continually hit the sofa, as though he was trying to release his pent up emotions.

He Xiyan brought over a basin of water and wrung the towel hard, then she gently wiped his feet and hands.

He was already 9 months old and seed to be gradually becoming more intelligent.

Sotis, he even seed to be able to understand what the adults were saying.

“Ma ma...” Yuan Yuan wriggled into her arms and called out to her with his childish voice as he rubbed his face against her chest.

It was as though he was trying hard to feel so motherly warmth from her.

He Xiyan bowed her head to drop a gentle kiss on his forehead. Then, she shifted her body a little and allowed him to rest on her thigh.

She pursed her lips tightly and her lips curved into a wry smile as she gently stroked his smooth face.

She wasn’t a good mother and since she beca pregnant, she had barely spent any ti taking care of him and it was a long ti since she carried him because he was too heavy and she didn’t dare to carry him while she was pregnant.

“Yuan Yuan, you wouldn’t bla for failing to take care of you, right?” He Xiyan looked down at Yuan Yuan’s smiling face.
