"Should I make sure that there no wedding?" He whispered as he neared .

I stepped back and realised that we were now alone in the room and there was only Marilyn inside with . "Really?" I challenged back as my temper picked too. "You think that you can do that?"

"I can." He answered back with the confidence I wanted where he got from. I almost laughed out.

"Do you think the army of your country can handle the armies of two other countries join together to fight against you?" I glared at him with equal anger. "Whatever makes you think that you can declare a war and everyone in your family would agree to it."

He stepped closer and seethed but I did not give him the pleasure and interrupted him.

"No one would agree to a marriage where the girl is already engaged to soone else and she does not love you!" I sated with a proud expression. "Which is my advice to you is co down with the threats because they are not going to work in your favour."

His eyes blazed but he did not reply. Instead, he just watched .

"Now if we are done here I would like to go to the castle. Thank you." Saying so, I stepped back and left the church.

These are the facts that I knew from the very beginning of ti but I have tolerated them he was helping out here. Today I needed him to be away from so that we could carry out the plan for Tristan.

Walk out of the path of the church I noticed sothing strange. "What?" I whispered as I looked around for the carriage.

"rilyn? Did you ask them to take the carrots sowhere else?" I turned to her who was looking around as well.

She shook her head no. "As long as I was outside I noticed that they were standing there but I don’t know after that."

I turned around and looked around it.

"Searching for the carriage?" I jumped up and looked behind . The prince stood there with a blank face. "Well, I thought that we could go back to the castle together but since you refused to do anything with I suppose you could walk back."

I heard rilyn take a sharp intake of breath as she heard his words.

He was making walk to the castle which was far.

"What?" I uttered in astonishnt of what he had just asked to do because this was just petty.

He nodded, a mocking smile took its place on his lips, taunting . "You do not want anything to do with . You do not have any feelings for so I guess it makes sense that you do not sit with as well." He steps closer yet still maintained a respectful distance between us. "Should I not? Would you rather sit with , in my carriage and ride to the castle with ?"

This conversation was no longer about the carriage or the ride to the palace he has changed in the direction of the conversation to a aningful action done by .

I sat with him my words no longer hold any aning.

"No," I smiled at him sincerely, "I’ll walk," I whispered and turned around as rilyn followed.

I knew Marilyn wanted to comnt on my decision but you waited to tell us our lanes were changed and we were no longer in the site of the prince.

"Your highness," she walked beside as a walked around leisurely. I had no hurry to go back to the castle. "Should I call soone for you?"

"Who?" I asked amused even though I was feeling humiliated inside. "This is not our country mirror link you cannot ask soone to co back any carriage for us to ride back to the palace."

"It was not right what he did. The prince should realise that you have more responsibilities on your head." She whispered haughtily. She was angry and her small space blushed in anger as I watched her in amusent. "I do not understand why when he is a royal as well he cannot understand how important treaties are especially when they are bound by blood!"

I smiled at her. Not many understood the importance unless it was themselves that were responsible for it. If I refused to get married to Prince Terence I was not only was getting the treaty and help our people were going to be given but also the fact that they could declare a war on us because of the humiliation and betrayal.

My soldiers of the army and my people have to pay for it by being prisoners of war or simply be killed.

By the ti we reached the palace the night had already fallen and I was out of breath as soon as I saw the palace in my side, I could not help with a sigh of relief.

Finally.

"I shall prepare a bath for you imdiately with relaxing oils." rilyn breathed, huffing herself. "It would make you feel better." She nodded to herself as she decided on the task.

I did not reply as I was thirsty for water and I wanted to rest my feet. But the mont as we walked to the prince’s chamber’s, the maid standing there turned to us. "We prince has changed your quarters." She whispered to us as she looks down at us with pity. "He has shifted due to the Royal maids chamber."

The royal maid’s chambers, a place where the servants serving the royals of 10 stayed. They were given better conditions to stay in as compared to the servants that served throughout the castle.

So he degraded as but not down. A warning, a threat of what he could do.

I smiled, "That is quite alright." I told her. "Would you mind showing us the way there?"

She frowned. "Do you not want to talk to him? I am sure you could argue for your way in." Her tone had a friend of anger in it which told that she did not an what we could but it was sothing hidden underneath.

It was not the word argue she ant that it was sothing else, one could say that it was a dirty step that I have to take to continue to stay in his chamber after as the maid thought that I had managed to fall out of the prince’s favour.

"No, I do not need to do it." I laughed softly, as it does not matter to which it did not. The maid was very shocked to listen to my words and I did not bother to ask again and simply moved away to ask another.

There was a maid kind enough to guide us to Royal quarters and the person in charge of their told us our rooms. The Prince had been kind to allow us a good room where there was a small window but not enough to make sure that we had two beds. There was just one bed and a mat inside the room so it was clear that one of us would have to sleep down as it was allotted to both of us.

He was clever, as I thought to myself.

I just wanted to make sure that I knew what the real problem related to the creatures of the night was. Because of which I had been humiliated, sold and abducted.

Now I even had a Prince behind who could not just stop.

"What now, princess?" rilyn whispered standing beside . "You are sad." She said as she looked at my fallen face.

"He should understand the consequences of what he was talking about. It was easy to say the words but mighty difficult to carry them out." I gave out a long harsh breath. "The prince is way too arrogant with his infatuation."

"He said it was his affections."

I also laughed at that. "my dear, n do not have affections. If they did then the whole world would be a lot easier."

She rubbed my shoulder. "I will take the floor."

You should, I nodded. "It is better that we stay away from the prince as he will not be able to keep an eye on us. This could be used easily in getting Tristan to stand out."

My heart weighed more as I thought about the poor man who must be suffering while taking each breath thinking that might be the last before a man ca and killed him for good. But I would not let that happen, I would get Tristan out safe and sound and make sure that he healed properly just as I had made sure for the boy. But was a different issue as I was yet to think about what happened with him.

"Should we go now?" rilyn said as the night had fallen and everyone had gone to bed.

"Yes," I answered her as I put on my cloak, "It is ti."
