There were a few places that I had never expected myself to enter as a representative and I was right now, I was on the way to that very destination.

When I was in my country, the market of flash seed the most horrifying thing that could ever happen to one person because buying and selling of humans were strictly forbidden yet this Kingdom carried it out without any restrictions.

Perhaps the royal family knew about it as well. The king and queen probably bought slaves from that very market.

Everyone knew the truth but no one acknowledged it. Perhaps, I was right in my deduction that they all knew about it and received profits from it. This is why the prince did not think twice before ordering the most expensive carriage and a good dress for as we were on the way to the market. The people must know him.

I peeked at him once; he was sitting beside quietly and then I looked out of the carriage again. He had said to the woman that he would bring her daughter but if she was in the market of flesh. Did he an it? Because even if he was the prince, the vendors must be powerful, which if I thought about, one, at the end of the day, could not be more powerful than the prince of the kingdom himself.

"Would you bring the girl back if there is a chance?" I asked him but did not look at him as a continued to look outside the window.

I heard him take a huge breath before answering . "Yes."

The answer did not convince , "What did you promise her that? Because there is a big possibility that the girl has already been bought and sold by the vendor who had abducted her," I told him about the possibility and my voice did not shy away from showing the anger that I held. His promise had no aning because the possibilities against us were far too great.

"What of it then? Do you think that they would tell you who bought her and even if they do, what is the possibility that that person would let you take her away from ho?

He was leaning against the door back of the carriage. He looked at with a lazy gaze as if the questions that I was asking were nothing but amateur ones. It felt mocking.

He stared at my face and continued to do so without bothering even a little to answer my question first making look away. His as his eyes stared at he had a long-distance look, which made realize that he was not paying attention to our conversation rather was lost in his thoughts.

I blushed. Why was he not looking away or answering my question? Is he dreaming away?

I snapped my fingers in front of him jerking him awake.

So, he was dreaming away.

"Yes?" He frowned slightly. "What is wrong?"

"Wh-what," I scoffed at the audacity. "I have been talking to you but the promise you made to that grieving woman about bringing her daughter back from the market of flesh and you were dreaming about sothing else!" I snapped, glaring at him. "Can you be ntally present in this pressing conversation as well if His Highness pleases to do so?"

He smirked at that, still staring at . "His Highness pleases to look at you more." He said with a now cheeky smile taking over his lips. "It gives him calm and delight."

"Does it now?" I raised an eyebrow at his words. "Well then take it for as long as you can because it is only going to be in your grasp for a few monts," I whispered with my nose up in the air. "It’s only for the end of the month that we are to associate in such informal ways. After this, both of us would be representing our countries."

"Hmm," he humd loudly, sothing flashed in those eyes and shifted to look in the front. "I truly wish. . ." He sighed again, leaving his words incomplete and for to ask for more.

"What do you wish for?" I asked the prince, looking at the side of his face as well.

"You," he breathed out the word, "I wish for you." He revealed once again turning to look at .

I blinked twice. Had he said that out loud and confess his feelings? Or was it who was taking it in a different aning than it was supposed to be?

He looked at and I felt his eyes making look into his as well. "What?" I whispered defensively, staring into his eyes, gauging what was going on.

"I wonder how is it that the king of lenmore has managed to keep his second daughter hidden from the sight of us for so long?" He murmured and his gaze made feel highly conscious of myself. He scoffed and shook his head. "Perhaps being the man himself led him to believe the fact that in the future they would be huge conflicts related to you."

"? An uneducated Princess?" I asked, softly taunting him with his own words. "No one wants princess like that in their Kingdom."

"Well, I do apologize for that." He said with a soft smile on his face as his eyes were closed, his head moving side to side because of the moving carriage. "But I am sure that if you have ever shown to the world without being engaged to soone else proposals beco flooding in."

"Why? Because I am pretty?" I could not help but ask the question because I wanted to know his opinion on this.

He nodded. "Very, very beautiful, humble, and not only that but also soone who genuinely cares for the public that makes her royalty." He looked at , "How much I want for you to beco mine. . . "

Not enough, I wanted to say. None of his words was good enough or simple enough for to take an answer. Unlike Tristan, this man did not talk of my intelligence or my wittiness but only my beauty and humbleness which I had gathered from my mother. The qualities that could be inherited from anyone or simply projected onto one because they were in the presence of them just like Catherine had taken my humbleness and gratitude to people who work for us.

However, my intelligence and the wit I possessed for sothing that only belongs to and sothing he did not even talk of which told that this man was different from the one I had given my heart to.

I closed my eyes at the realization. What had I done?
