I breathed the fresh air as I steeped out in the dawn. I was bringing Marilyn back with to the castle as the first task but sadly The Prince had decided to accompany .

We were walking to the inn and the gaurds were scattered around. No one knew that the prince was here and in the clothes of a worker with dust on his face he looked more of a hard working laborer than a regal prince.

"That is the inn you were staying at?’" he asked as soon as he saw it with his face twisted at the sight distastefully.

I tsked. "Imagine the scenario yourself, three won staying at an expensive inn, what does that look like to you?"

"Perhaps they won’t like the roof to fall over their heads?"

I shot him an unimpressed look. "No, Three won alone staying at a good and expensive inn only give the image to others to rob them of the money they have!" I stopped at the end of it as the realisation stepped in.

I was not a princess here and the prince did not know that so if he ever t others he would totally give away the personality that I had picked up for this.

I turned to him who glanced at with a questionable look in his eyes. "I am Layla here. You may call that."

He blinked calmly and narrowed his eyes slightly. "Is that the na that you have taken as an alias?" He caught onto it quickly.

I nodded. "Yes, no one here knows that I am a princess and I would like to keep that intact."

He nodded. "But my na cannot be taken as well as that na belongs to the prince and not many people na their children after royalty." He looked away for a mont thinking about sothing and then turns to with the slight smirk on his face. "How about Glenn for ?"

"You want an alias too?" I frowned. "Don’t you think that you should choose a better na than that then?" Glenn? What kind of na was that?

"No." He spat, upset by what I said. "Glenn and Gen, a nickna for Genevieve, how does that sound?"

"It’s Layla here. Layla and Glenn or Lysar and Genevieve," I sighed and patted his arm, "I will leave no matter how hard you try you cannot match your na with mine here."

I hopped forward and went inside the inn leaving the prince behind to follow. My steps faltered as I entered the sa hallway where I have been kidnapped and had said the fear of life again. This was the very hallway where I knew that I would never return again and if I did that it would not be the sa as how I previously was.

I gulped as a shiver went through .

"Is soone standing there?" The Prince asked from behind , "Why have you stopped in the middle of the hallway?"

How was it that the man never feared for his life when he was being abducted? The fear I felt last night was going to last my entire life. I will always be reminded of what happened in this very hallway whenever I shall pass this inn but he did not even know, he did not have the slightest inkling about what happened here.

I turned around and answered his query as I tried to keep my angry tears at bay. "Do you know what happened in this very hallway 2 Nights ago? The n, the soldiers that you sent to abduct abducted way in this hallway where I thought that I would, for the last ti, be free. Where I thought that I was never returning again and even if I did it would be a shell of myself, of my soul!" I hissed in anger. "If soone has dont to sothing dramatic atleast be compassionate about it, your highness!" I turned around not watching to look at his face anymore.

He was a prince and there was no guarantee that he would never do this again which is why as I realised telling him was equal to bashing your head against the wall.

Good for nothing arrogant man!

I knocked on the door of the room that we were previously staying in and I hoped that my companions were still there.

"Hang on!" I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard rilyn’s irritating voice.

The door opened and rilyn’s tired face ca into my sight. She had darkened skin under the eyes and her hair was all over the place. On the first glance, I knew that she was not at peace.

"Are you well?" I spoke as a tilted my head waiting for her to get up from her sleep.

"Huh?" She blinked again and I tightened my lips. Raising my hand I whacked her across the head.

"Wake up!" I scolded. "Are you not concerned for in the least bit?"

Her eyes widened and Gemma ca to the door as well. "rilyn, oh. . .dear!"

She ran out and imdiately hug . Pulling closer to her chest as she rubbed my back. "Oh my God!" She cried. "You are here. You are here." She continued to chant to God and thank him

I looked at rilyn. Explain, my eyes said and she caught onto them imdiately.

"We were really afraid," she said whispering and on the verge of crying. "We were so afraid and we did not know what to do for you to go to for this. With thought that you were abducted by those people and you will never going to return!"

My hands which were hugging Gemma’s back, reached out to her and held hers.

"I know," I shot the prince a look, "Soone might have so explaining to do."

At least now when I glanced at him and the prince had the decency to look slightly guilty.

"I had no inkling about the affect of my actions," the prince said once again with a guilty expression. "I assure you that such as actions regarding the princess would not be taken again."

Gemma and rilyn both looked at and I shrugged. "I think that this is the closest to an apology that we are getting."

The prince looked away as his body was stiff and the two won nodded and looked down. Whatever they an to , they only ant servants to him and they had to give him the utmost respect they would normally give to the prince of another country.

"What now?" rilyn spoke up and looked at , "I an, are you staying with us here now?"

I could feel the prince looking at .

"Not really," I Answered truthfully, "I have co back to take you and Gemma with . The prince and I have managed to find few materials about the creatures of night and I would like to have your input about it is well and stay with in the castle."

Gemma rose her head. "Both of us?"

I nodded, confirming.

"Has the prince allowed it?" She asked.

"Yes." He rose from the chair he sat in. "The necessary arrangents would be made for your stay to make sure that is comfortable."

Let’s just hope its not the servant quarters, I looked away, uncomfortable they were very much.

"Oh."

My frown beca more evident when I heard Gemma say that. "Gemma, do you know want to co with us? A palace is most secured as an inn."

"It is not that your highness," she shook her head, "perhaps the fact that I am not as educated as any of you and my part was accompanying you in this journey was for your protection which you have now of the prince, no less." She hesistanted before saying, "would you mind if I choose to be with my family for the ti being here instead?"

Gemma and Marilyn were the two companions I had with the accompanying on this journey and when one of them had asked to leave the ship I only felt betrayal.

Again she wanted to give it up and I was no one to force her to stay. I was not soone who was forcefully going to keep the presence of soone for the sake of my sanity when the clearly did not want to be there.

"That is alright Gemma," I smiled even though it was a bit stiff, "I have no problems with it. But you must rember, the day we have to leave you must co with us."

She nodded with relief on her face which told that she did not expect to be let off so easily. "Thank you, your highness." She bowed her head, "I am truly in debt to you."

Was she? I thought over it, it was only a natural thing for human wanting to be with the family and I all even the royal, anointed by god was no one to put soone away.

rilyn was looking at and I knew that she wanted to say sothing to for which I gave her the go ahead.

"Sir Tristan, will be coming Around breakfast," she revealed nervously fidgeting, "We had turned to him for help when you did not return and we could not find you anywhere."

The prince moved and we looked over to him imdiately. He sat up straighter now, attentive of what was going on. "Interesting," he nodded with a small smile. "I cannot wait to et him."
