It looked like the last ti we had t, we were the room standing in two different ends of a room, but last ti I had made an effort to go to her. This ti, I did not.

Another difference was, this ti my sister had let go of all of her expressions, and one of the ones she showed the most was the tiredness.

"What can I help you with?" I asked. " I thought I made my stand clear the last ti we talked."

"From the last ti till now, I have had many conversations with your new family," She said the words quite bitterly, "I have been told that he would not be returning to lenmore. Is it really why you want to stay, but the bloodsuckers?"

"Yes, they know the value of blood."

She scoffed, easily catching my aning and stepping closer to . She stood beside , leaning her back against the railing. "Do you truly an it?"

I nodded. "Yes, I ant it when I said that I’m going to take care of Catherine from now on and I ant when I said that I would be living with Tristan. I suppose they told you sothing else as well."

She nodded. "You will be marrying him."

"Yes, I would be."

Estelle turned to . " there are other n who are far more capabl—"

"I would tell you to not finish that sentence. It is not only him you will anger if you continue."

She huffed and thankfully, did not continue. It was after soti that she spoke. "You did not give a chance to explain with Catherine."

"I do not care about the tiny details. I have the picture in my mind and I know you made the wrong choice out of your own selfish gain. You did not realize what would have happened with Catherine if anyone encountered her with the wrong intentions whether or not then you have. My decision on taking care of her out of your custody stands."

Discomfort settled on her face. "You would take her away from ?"

I smiled but it was rather sarcastic. "No, I’m going to do a favour and keep her away from you after you sent her away."

I added, "Maybe, if you want you can exchange letters with her. If you have any feelings left on you."

"Genevieve!" She snapped. "It is not easy to be in my position. You have no idea what I did to get to the throne. I poisoned everyone and then I have to make sure that no one left, another bastard that our father might have fathered or anyone else was left to make a claim on the throne. Do you understand how important it was for to send Catherine away?"

I wanted to say that I said, but with her, that I could not put myself in the sa position as she was in, but I had also been through few instances that she had not.

"We always knew that it was not going to be easy for you to sit with the crown on top of your head. We knew that it was going to.." I paused, " that it was going to take discarding of a few people, even people related to us, but that did not an that you would send Catherine away so far with no one to care for her."

"We always knew what we would have to do. But it would never be an excuse for what you did to that little girl. You could have taught true, sent her to the place of a Lord to take care of her but she decided against that, I believe you did not even think of that." I sighed in disappointnt and disbelief that I continue to feel about the situation. "Must I continue to talk about this? Because whatever you have to say will not change what I think."

Not very sisterly of her.

Esettle looked defeated. "So, you are going to take her and yourself away from ? I’m going to be left alone?"

I laughed a little. "I wish to be cruel to you and tell you that you deserve to be alone after being so cruel to Catherine, and not paying attention to what I might have been going through. You left alone as well, dearest Sister. But instead of that I’m going to tell you sothing else."

I held her hand in mine. "You are going to make a court out of your own and drive our country from poverty back to its full strength. You are going to make potential alliances for yourself and with sombecauseeone who will stay with you in this country, rather than asking you to co to his. All of this is sothing you would have to do alone, sothing Catherine is not going to be a part of. Catherine will be soone who requires warmth and love, which again, you would not be able to provide. So she has to co with while you take care of this alone, like you were always supposed to."

Squeezing her hand, I added. "No one can do it other than you."

And also, because she always knew that it was going to be a walk she had to leave alone. Even when mother was alive, she had always told Estelle to be self-reliant because Catherine would walk away from the kingdom into the one we would be the Queens of.

She sighed and accepted what was for her. She was not going to be alone or lonely. Estelle was going to thrive with the kingdom. Her ambition and greed for more was going to take her and the kingdom to new heights without her, feeding the absence of us.

"I’m going to miss you," she looked at , "truly, I’m going to miss you."

And there, it was, she had once again made cry. Reaching over to her, I wrapped her around in my arms. "I would too, dearest. I would too."
