~Tristan’s POV~
Tristan kept his eyes on the skin that was being touched by another man. A human, soone who could twist the neck off within seconds and dispose of the body too.
He wondered what kind of soldier this was. The soldier who was holding his beloved, was quite slow and processing what happened in front of him. But when it finally turned on him, about who was standing in front of him, his expressions, again, were quite slow.
But they changed and Tristan enjoyed every second of it it.
The surprise, the confusion, the recognition, and then followed by the beautiful scent and feeling of fear.
There was a scar that ran across the cheek of the soldier. The way he recognised him, and the people standing behind him, Tristan knew that he had seen first-hand and experienced what a vampire could do. He was only lucky enough to leave the battlefield alive with a wound on his face.
This ti, he would not be so lucky.
No one would be.
Twisted took a step forward, aiming for the soldier, and the rest of his n behind him, moved like shadows, crossing distance in between them, and taking the small army that was waiting behind a soldier, holding his Genevieve.
As fast as he could, he took Genevieve away, snatching her from the soldier and moved to make sit in the room occupied by her sister.
He was back in front of the soldier within seconds, unfortunately, for whom, had not found enough ti to comprehend the situation and move.
First, Tristan took a hold of his hand, the very one he had held Genevieve away. He waited until the soldier realized what he was doing, and then cracked it, breaking it into two.
The scream was delicious, but coupled with the scent of blood and fear, it was intoxicating.
The fight had begun. The screams, clashing of tals and grunts indicated that.
After breaking every bone that was in the arm of the soldier, he left him alone in his agony to suffer before he joined the fight.
He picked up a sword that was left on the side of a soldier already beheaded then charged directly into the fight.
More n ca. The soldiers had escaped the capital after he had conquered the kingdom.
"How many more?" Vaugh only had to murder under his breath for everyone else to hear him. An advantage that was only on their side.
"Signal the human army." He commanded while fighting humans in front of him before being done with them.
No matter how many humans commanded by, Christopher may co in front of them but it was only a war of minutes before it was going to be over.
He picked up another sword from a man who was dying before beheading him as well. That man was making too much noise.
The human army was hiding amongst the people, ready to bombard inside the palace once commanded. Their task was simple.
To wipe out every trace of defected soldiers while they ca up to the floor where the royal family resides.
His years got stomping and the movent. They were already inside the palace and they were working their way through.
Tristan stepped back, their work here was done. Only a few people remained alive, and one of them was Christopher.
He rembered Christopher like it was yesterday.
While his family had always wanted to take revenge from the siblings, Tristan had simply let it go. His parents were finally together with no human getting in between them but this pair of siblings could not let go and have to intervene in every fucking thing that brought him happiness.
They had made him take the revenge that his family desperately seated. The revenge he had let go of, the revenge that he was now going to take.
While they had been hiding in the mountains of Astria with only a few humans, having their knowledge of who they were, they had arrived with their feet of soldiers, attracting attention from everywhere, and burned his mother on a stake while calling her a witch.
Christopher had been the one who had put her to fire and he had made sure that the little boy of five years watch his mother burn.
"You have grown up, boy. I rember you very well." Christopher spat, anger taking over his features and breaking the composure he always had. He was being held by one of his n easily.
"My only regret," he continued, "was not killing you and your kind."
"Hm," Tristan agreed. "You should have burnt down my village to the ground but alas, humans have been unnecessarily arrogant."
His comnt only made Christopher more angry and Tristan welcod to that.
Now that everyone of his soldiers was dead, except for a few and the human army was making its way up. He had ample of ti.
"Do you know why your sister is?" Tristan provoked. "I know where she is. My aunt is on her way to your sister, and let tell you, when my aunt has her in her grass, Anastasia is not going to walk out alive."
Tristan sneered as a smile. " but then again, you’re not going to be alive to help her."
"Unhand ," Christopher struggled, "unhand and fight ."
"Why would I make your death so quick?" Tridtan asked, innocently. "You have no idea how many people are waiting to get a share of you, Christopher. I hold my people very dear, so I cannot disappoint them. Take him away this ti. Do not let him go."
No one was getting disappointed this ti.
He looked at everyone who was present in the room. If this ti anyone escaped, he was going to kill everyone who stayed in front of him. With another nod to his second command, telling him to take care of everything, Tristan turned around and moved towards the room where his beloved and her sister were.
