"Tristan!" I gasped outrageously. "That is very-"

"Inappropriate?" he completed with a grin as he continued to co closer.

Anger bubbled at his cheekily correct answer but his advancent made change my priorities quickly as I pushed myself against the bed board.

When his smile widened I knew he would get so I changed and charged toward the side of the bed to get away from him.

Tristan’s hand clamped on my ankle and pulled back. Before I knew it, he was on and right in front of my face.

"Tristan," his na left my mouth in a breathless whisper.

"My love," said he, "what a marvelous view I have."

I blushed crimson, I was sure. "Stop it."

"Why? Am I making you nervous?"

He was, but dare I say it to his face. I would never! "No." Gripping his shoulders with my hands, I pushed them away from . "move!"

"No." he mimicked . "Now that I have a position where you can do absolutely nothing, but listen to , I want you to understand sothing."

"What?" The word ca out harsher than I intended to, but I did not care to correct myself.

All the amusent left his eyes. "I failed to protect you that day. That is the one thing I will truly regret until the end of my days. If there is anything that I can go back in ti and change, it will be that night and only that night. I feel to protect you and my failure has caused you great suffering that I watch you go through every night. I hold myself back because I am not worthy enough to take it away from you. But when you, my beloved, took as yours, I took the pain away as my own, as my right. If you choose to take it further with , I will take everything, every pain, every suffering, every battle that you experience on myself, and I will win it for you."

His lips touched my forehead as he kissed . "It has been a great suffering for , but not as much as yours, my love. Forgive for what I have done. Please, allow to serve you further and make sure that I never make this mistake again."

"Never?"

"Never." he confird with such sincerity that I almost lost all of the doubts I had in my mind.

I tried not to speak words. I tried to control the burning feelingI felt in my eyes knowing that I was going to cry any minute. But there was no way I could do that, not when my party was overwheld with him so close and what he was putting through with this conversation. "But what if it happens again?"

"I will not." He vowed. "But everything in the world that has power forbids it, if it does, I will lay my heart in front of you to deal with it as you please, my love."

A silent try left as I shook my head. "If it happens again, I would not feel alive, and well with anything, twisting. I would kill myself. I have been through this once and I cannot do it anymore... never again."

I barely ever acknowledged what I went through every day in my mind. Never talked about the night, never thought of them, never acknowledged them. So if it happened again, I would throw myself off the balcony or do anything to get out of this life. Everything else could be damned by Gods.

His eyes saddened, visibly dimd, when I said that. Tristan lowered his head where his mark once, and his lips touched it gently.

The mont he kissed , I felt an unbelievable wave of pleasure throughout my body. Every doubt, every bit of nervousness and fear that I felt went away, leaving with a bear mind.

Opening my eyes felt like I was opening my eyes to an entirely new world. There were no negative feelings, no positive ones as well but only just.. and him.

"Never, my love. I promise you." he was spared against his mark, like he was making his vow to it.

To the bond we shared.

When there was no doubt in my mind, and the fear, I believed him. I felt the sincerity through the bond and welcod it in my mind. The comfort it gave was newfound, making feel warm all over and happy.

"I feel different." I respect my confession to him since he was so near. "Good different."

He lifted his head up, and then rested his chain on his hand supported by his elbow. "You accepted , my love. You accepted the bond with ."

"I trusted you?" That was all I had done. I had just opened my mind to trust him.

He nodded with a lazy grin on his face. "Trust is the beginning of any relationship and bond. That was all you needed to do, my love. Open your sincere trust towards with a little bit of," he glanced at my lips, "love in mind."

My eyes widened. "W-what?"

With twinkling ruby red eyes and a smile so wide that it made so happy to look at, he answered, "yes, Genevive. The bonds for trust and love. That you have for . How long are we going to plan it? Tell so I also may play along."

I laughed a bit before sobering up. "I cann— I do not—"

"A week, one month or two?"

An aggressive sigh later, I just did what he wanted. "I do not want to admit it."

"I understand." He nodded and then his eyes went to my lips again. "Allow just a taste."

I wanted to say no but the word never left my lips. As he neared, it went out of my mind completely, and before I knew it, I felt his lips on mine.
