To say that my sister was hungry and thirsty would be an understatent. She was starving and I was more than happy to feed her from my hands.

I had taken her to the private dining rooms since Tristan had not allowed to take her to my room directly. I would have preferred to have her with only but he decided that she still needed to be in the presence of people.

The only person I could think of that could accompany with Catherine was the only familiar face. She could find here which was of Marilyn.

"Would you like so more juice, princess?" relyn asked softly. "It is freshly squeezed."

Catherine looked into her directions before glancing at the juice in her hands and nodded.

My heart clenched at the conditions that my sister must have been in.

"Was the journey she good? Did they give you whatever you wanted?"

She nodded at my question and answered, "T-they were kind. They fed lots."

Her voice was just a little bit above a whisper, and I could hear the quiver in them. She was living in fear and I could say that because my little Catherine was a confident young girl. I raised her like that but this was a completely different girl in front of and I was very scared to admit that.

She chewed slowly and I glanced at her plate. It still felt like it was full, like she had eaten nothing of it.

Realisation dawned on that she must’ve been hungry for such a long ti that her stomach could not take a lot of food at once. She had to eat in regular intervals and it was going to take a long ti for her to get back to her health.

"I don’t think I can eat anymore." She whispered as she stayed longingly at the plate full of food. "I do want to eat it, but I just cannot. Can I keep the plate with ?" Her lovely, big and adorable. I looked up to , which is so much pleading in them that saying you know was not even an option not that I was going to.

She was begging and it hurt.

"Yes, My love." I smiled. "You can keep whatever you want with you. Why don’t you stay with Marilyn and drink so more juice, I will be back in a minute."

I waited until she said yes, before standing up and walking out of the room quickly. I needed a minute to myself. My thoughts and my emotions need to be gathered. Otherwise I was going to break down and cry in front of her.

Just as I open to the door and stepped out of the room, I heard Chiara’s voice.

"I just want to go in and have a look at the girl, Dawson. I do not understand why I cannot do that. She is going to be family soon!"

Oh god, I Close my eyes. I had literary walked from one problem into another.

"Oh, Genevive!"

And the problem just saw .

Putting a smile on my face, I turned into her direction and walked to them. "Yes?"

Dawson gave a sympathetic smile, apologizing already while his wife continued, "May I be introduced to your sister?"

Chaira was a confident woman who would not take no for an answer unless soone above her, superiority wise, ordered her too.

I was not quite in that position yet so I would have to diate in between the two.

"Not at the mont, Chiara." I declined. "I would prefer to have my sister see all the familiar faces she can find here. I will introduce her to you soon enough, but when she settles down."

The next of what I have to say, it was a little difficult to be said politely and I hesitated. "She is yet to know about everything that has happened by far so I want to take it as slowly as I can with her. I do hope you understand but this is sothing I will not anything against."

As much as I wanted to shield Catherine from reality, she had to learn about a lot of things that happened. I may have to skip a few incidents, but even after that, Catherine needed to have a vague of what was going on.

Chiara looked disappointed and was ready to argue, but then, miraculously, she nodded. "If that is what you want. I just wanted to be introduced to your family mbers. You have t Tristan’s entire family but have not t one of yours and your sister was here so.."

I nodded graciously before slipping away with a smile. I went towards the stairs before sitting down on them and placed my hands all over my face.

How could Estelle let Catherine out of her side? I cannot believe that Catherine was actually living in such a cold and in an uninhabited place with her lady.

Living in between the mountains was a very risky thing to do. The people that were used to it could do that only and they were just a handful of people in Number.

How could my sister leave the palace and I still did not even notice it? That was what put in worry, because Estelle would have noticed Catherine, and if Catherine was actually living far away from the Palace, it ant that Estelle had sothing to do with this.

Why had my elder sister not written about it in her letter? She should have ntioned Catherine then.

"Oh my god." I turned and tilted my head up like I was going to see God, but ended up seeing Tristan who was standing right behind .

Lowering my head, I turned around and shifted so that I was looking at him more comfortably. "What are you doing here?"

He smiled. "You needed ." he said and then took two steps down before sitting on the sa step as . "Tell , what is it?"
