I had never kissed anyone before, not properly at least. But I had seen several people kiss in front of and I knew how to work it.
Which is exactly what I did.
Slowly, I moved my lips against his soft ones. Mindful to not bite them as I graced the lower one with my teeth. He made a sound at that.
Taking his face in my hands, I angled it better before making him lean down a little.
Kissing him made feel like I was floating on a cloud. Too many feelings, too many emotions blocked out everything and I just focused on him. His lips against mine.
As if out of the small shock that he was in, Tristan’s hands found their way on my waist before squeezing it and pulling closer.
I gasped At the sudden fall and that was enough for him to push his tongue in my mouth.
The mont he did that, I could not control the buckle in my knees but his hands kept standing strong. That action alone invoked new feelings inside and I could barely keep my legs closed in order to avoid the feeling in between them. It was like... It had highlighted much more than before.
Tristan moved away and I took the opportunity to breathe in.
He appeared to be normal in front of my heaving self. staring down at , Tristan had a look in his eyes he often did when he was a rchant. Honestly, I could not have been happier that finally I was looking at the man who loved .
"That was the first proper kiss you have ever given ." He said, looking into my eyes so deeply that it hurt to hear those words. "For so long you have left , for so long you have refrained from giving affection."
The words were on the tip of my tongue as they had been so many tis before but this ti I did not stop them. I let them flow.
"The first ti I t you, I was an impostor to you. I lied about my identity and I had no intention of revealing it to you because I have to go back and do my duty to the country I was responsible for. So loving You was going to be a burden for that I would always crave."
I gulped, " The second ti I t you, your nature presented to be a hindrance. Knowing that you killed people just to feed yourself was enough for to discourage my feelings towards you."
Adding hesitantly, "also the fact that you could kill with a snap of your fingers did not help."
"Ah," he said After so ti. Tristan stepped away as if thinking about what I said. The frown on his forehead matched the confliction I felt for telling him what I felt.
Was it really worth it?
He opened his mouth after closing it shut. Then he nodded and turned to look at . "We will talk about this after we get back. Co along, we have sowhere to go to."
Heavens forbid, I would let him release this from to kill other people.
"No," I backed towards the door, "I will not let you kill other people and I sure as hell you will not watch it."
His smile hardened and so did his face. With a disapproving look on his face, Tristan shook his head. "I will leave this room, Genevive , and the execution will be carried out. With or without you, it will happen."
Panic washed over. "B-but you said that if I give you a chance regardless of everything that has happened, you will let them go. You said that you would—"
"Did I?" He said, arching his eyebrow. "Did I really say it?"
Did he? I questioned myself. Raking my mind for the exact words, I could not co up with anything all of a sudden. Had he said those words?
What was wrong with ? Why could I not rember?
"You—you just can’t do it!" I stomped my foot. " What do you think the kingdom will think of you when you execute more than half of your staff that is human?"
"That I do not tolerate traitors." He answered effortlessly. "They have to understand that at the end of the day, human or not, I will not tolerate betrayal."
I flinched at the word. I had betrayed him. My punishnt was watching them be executed but that was sothing I could not do. I would fight till my last breath but I would not let people be executed but I was the one who carried out the entire plan.
"Maybe you did not hear clearly," I walked closer to him, "I was the one who orchestrated all of it. You need to punish and let the others go."
He smiled, chuckled too. "I am not going to punish my beloved, Genevive. I will never do anything that will hurt you. But the others, the others or what I do not guarantee the safety of. They will be at the brunt of what you carried out."
He touched my chin and shook my head a little, like I were a baby. "I am never going to harm you, rember that. But I will never promise what I will do to the other person."
He flashed another smile before stepping away from and walking to the door.
Snapping out of it, I realised that it had been too late. Tristan was already opening the door and there was nothing I could do to stop him.
Unless...
Pulling onto the ends of my dress, where the threads were to loosen them before grabbing a hold of the dress from my shoulders and pulling it only to let it drop on the floor.
The puffy dress pulled into a heap near my feet and the sound was enough for Tristan to stop midway from exiting the room.
