The physician threw another blood so close near his feet before grabbing another. Then he proceeded to repeat his actions once again.
He wiped the dried blood off the wounds of the prince and so far that was the only thing he had done. Apparently, it had to be the first thing and that was cleaning him so that the physician could find out the bruises and the broken bones underneath which he was sure were there.
By the amount of dirty clothes that were present by his face it was alarming yet Equally relieving to hell the prince had not passed away yet. God knew how long his torture had been continued for.
Even though a small part of wanted him to get stripped of the arrogance he had inside him and Watch him get punished for the blackmail, I still did not want soone to go to this.
Sawyer was also present in the room by his father’s side who was standing beside the position. Silently staring at his actions just like I did.
With the slightly heated atmosphere, I could tell that it was almost noon by the ti the physician stepped away from the Prince.
"Well," he sighed, " tough one, he is. Broken bones, ribs, joints, bruises, open bones which were also infected. There was nothing this man did not have that was not enough to die."
"But he survived," Sir Walter led the conversation, ``will he continue to survive?"
"If he has until now, then I must say he will for sure."
The conversation led back and forth before the physician stood up and got a hold of the bag that he had brought with him.
"Soone would have to co with , I will provide you with the dicines that I have applied on him. Other than that, I will provide a few herbs that you will have to bring ho."
"I shall co with you," Sir Walter got up, "sawyer?"
As if understanding what his father wanted, Sawyer nodded. " I shall accompany you then."
I worked a bit further into the room to give the physician and the other two n room to walk out.
Sir Walter sent a last nod before disappearing out of the house after the door closed. All three of them were gone and I was left with three people, Mrs Walter, Cian and Dorothy.
The prince was not going to wake up anyti soon, not after the dicines that the physician had given him. I moved out of his room only coming to a stop when I saw Cian sitting at the dining table, occupying a chair.
He turned to look at and nodded. "Good Afternoon, princess."
The word princess seed like a curse word from his mouth.
"I have no crown on my head, call Genevieve." I waved it off. "How are you, Cian?"
If I was trying to make a conversation, he was really burdened with it. With a sigh, he looked away.
"Good."
Alright, then. With The awkwardness so prevalent in the air, I was not going to continue this conversation. Silently, I turned around and slipped into the other hallway where Mrs. Walter was.
Knocking on the door, I opened it when I heard the words ’co in’.
"Good afternoon," I smiled, "are you interested in a chat?"
A smile ca up on the frail face of Mrs Walter before she patted the space beside her, inviting in.
Gratefully taking the seat that she had previously patted on, I asked, " do you feel better after the rest?"
"Yes," she replied, her voice thick with sleep. "You want to talk about your mother, don’t you?"
Being caught red-handed, I looked away from her eyes and to the wall. "Estelle is too busy and... Just not emotional enough to talk about mother, Catherine was too young when she passed away, I have no one to talk to about her."
"Your mother was not soone easy to forget. It hurts your sister more than you think." She chuckled. "I rember when she was around two to three years of age, such a young and bubbly child she was. That continued till the age of thirteen, fourteen at most but when she lost her mother.."
"She hardened her shell."
"More than that, little one." Mrs Walter corrected . "More than that, especially when your father got a mistress in the position of the Queen. The son they shared threatened her throne and when everyone prefers a king over a queen, your journey to the throne ceases to exist."
"Yet she made her way, she craved her way." I proudly stated that. Even though, at tis, she would forget that we were her family and not stepping Stones, I was proud to say that my sister was making her mark without the hand of her parents on her.
"Yes, I am proud of that and so is George."
I nodded Absentmindedly. Sir Walter, he did seem to know what was going on everywhere. Even though he was no longer a secretary and the Queen he served was dead, he still managed to keep every connection he had once made.
"tell about yourself," she whispered excitedly, "When I first ca to know about your betrothal to Prince Terrence, I was so excited to know that we had shifted into such a kingdom where I would have one of Cynthia’s daughters with ."
I gulped, "what do you an? Do you not know?" Prince Terrence was long on from my chain of thoughts. His behaviour and upbringing along with how his mother thought was sothing that I could not find myself paying attention to anymore.
Given that she was also ready to eliminate forever and had almost done so with my father’s health was never going to be so given by .
"What?" She frowned. "What do you an, are you not running away from him?"
"What? No!" I shook her head and turned more into her direction. "The vam—"
"Mother," Cian entered the room without knocking, "father is calling the princess."
