I was sick and I was so sick that I could not get out of my bed. I was sick enough to even open my eyes which is why they were closed along with my mouth because it hurt too much to talk.

I was very sick.

"Should I bring soone to check on you? I can go to the healer right now?" Dorothy said as she massaged my legs. For her, my entire body was in pain so she had started to lightly massage my legs and feet.

I didn’t reply.

She continued to massage them.

The door opened quietly just as they were closed the sa way. By the looks of it was soone else and not him.

"What is wrong?" I heard a whisper. It was Marilyn.

Dorothy answered, "I think she is sick. She is not talking because it hurts her throat to do so and she is not even opening her eyes and she has barely moved since the morning!"

I could see the frown forming on rylin’s face. "Did you check if she is warm or not?"

Dorothy did not reply. She must have given a nonverbal reply.

"Here, let ," I heard footsteps but before I could comprehend anything the cover of my feet was lifted. "Let check—"

Before she could touch my feet, I moved them and joined them to my hips.

She sighed. "Really, princess? Do you have to do this?"

"What happened?" Dorothy asked probably curious, "should I call the healer? Do you think she is very sick? Would she survive it?"

rylin huffed before answering her, "she is very sick Dorothy. I don’t think she can survive anymore. You must go to the healer imdiately and bring him here at once!"

As rilyn continued to tell her what she thought, I could hear the parting of feet and before she could even complete the sentence, the door closed. Dorothy practically ran out of the door.

I heard footsteps again and this ti rilyn was coming closer. I clenched the covers in my hand. She pulled on them and I put them back equally hard.

"Let go," she gritted out as she pulled at them just as I did.

"No!" I Shrieked and did not let go. It was a ga of tug in between us.

She huffed and let go. "I am sure you must be aware that you will have to get out of the covers and the bed one day, princess. What about it then?!"

For now, I did not have any intention to do so. Yet I did not voice it out.

"If they do not see you at breakfast, they might excuse your presence from the dining table but I do not think they would wait when the announcent is made." She told .

I knew that but I did not want to see any of their faces especially after what happened yesterday.

"Are you not going to say sothing?" She grew annoyed. "If you must know, Dorothy is on her way to call a healer and it will reach them!"

Let it.

The doors opened and I squeezed my eyes close. I knew who it was.

Let it not, please, let it not.

"Stop this mockery at once." His voice thundered off the wall and my eyes snapped open at the instant. He was angry. The angriest I had ever seen.

The blanket was ripped off and I yelped, sitting only to stare at the angry man in front of . Tristan looked the angriest I had ever seen him.

"If you want to be sick Genevieve, then I will make you sick." He hissed.

Yet it did not seem sothing a human would do.

"If you want that then ask , otherwise get up from the bed, get ready for the day and since you have already skipped breakfast do not bother coming to it." He snapped and I jumped again at the harshness of it.

I watched as he turned around and stord out of the room without glancing back at . I saw that the only person besides in the room and Marilyn looked back at with soft eyes filled with pity.

Buried underneath was an ’I told you so’.

"Let us get you ready." She moved closer and reached for my hand. "We should not make them wait anymore."

Did I even have a say in this anymore?

Getting ready today was a quick affair. Just like the years that I had Marilyn as my lady in waiting, she got ready today. She even did my hair.

"You are ready now." She said as she gave the final touches to be here. She had tied them half, letting most of them run free.

Without answering her I simply stood up and started walking out of the door with her behind . I had no intention of going when I was going to see soone take the credit for what I had done yet I had to. Breakfast privileges were already taken away, who knew what was next.

Solomon was the only one to follow today. We went to the balcony on the first floor. I walked to where Tristan was. I was not planning to stand right next to him but a few steps behind.

"Wait," rylin whispered in my ear and she took hold of my elbow, "we don’t stand on the balcony, we should go and stand near the window."

There was a huge balcony for the royal family to stand in which overlooked the palace grounds and it was common in every castle. Other than that, on the walls at the entrance were huge windows for the other family mbers that were not directly linked with the royal family to watch everything.

She was telling to watch everything from there.

I looked back at the king who was watching the public before looking back at rilyn and nothing. We went to the window on the right side and stared at the public.

My eyes, once again, went to the king; who said I was his queen.
