I don’t understand. How in the world was I staring at rilyn?
I couldn’t believe it.
"Princess. . ." She stepped closer and I stared up and down. Was she real?
She stepped closer to cautiously as if I was the wounded animal and could lash out at any ti.
I stared at her and when she reached closed enough I raised my hand and slapped her across the cheek.
Her head turned at the impact and I could feel the burn on my palm. I had slapped her.
"You are alive." I concluded. "You ARE alive?"
She turned around to but I could not take it anymore.
I stepped around her and moved out of the room. Allan found on the way but I did not look at him. Burt and Solomon stood outside the door and without looking into the rice I walked back to my room hurriedly.
How was this possible?
I couldn’t believe it.
Had I just seen a hallucination or was this really true? But the dead could not co back. There was no way that the dead could co back and less blackmagic was involved.
I was going crazy.
"Princess!"
The word made jump as my initial thought was rylin had arrived. But the doors opened and Laila and Dorothy barged in instead of her.
I let out a breath of relief.
*What happened?" Laila stepped forward. "We saw you running all the way from servants’ hallways all the way here.*
I hesitated. How was I supposed to tell her that her dead friend was alive?
"N-nothing." I waved her off. "Could you get so water?" I could feel my breath intake quicken.
"Here," she held it with both her hands and I took it. I gulped down the cool liquid and it sohow managed to soothe a little.
How was she alive?
I saw her dead. I saw her hanging from the pool to her death. Her neck was cracked and had left her turned blue. Even if Marilyn was not dead then-then she would have clearly died from the frostbite.
How?
The doors opened and made all three of us gasp. They collided against the wall and Tristan walked in. "Out," he said to my maids and they scurried away.
I would not hold it against them. After all, Tristan looked murderous.
"What were you doing?" He barked as soon as the doors closed. "What were you thinking?"
I shrugged, not feeling anything in particular after facing such a big shock. "Nothing. I just wanted to et Alan."
I felt numb now. I was still in shock and I did not want to believe that I had just seen rilyn even though I knew and the pain in my hand confid it ti and again that she was real.
"Why?" He asked harshly. "Did Solomon not tell you now you have to wait at least?"
I raised my eyebrows slightly at what he said. "I thought you said that I was not a prisoner." I stared into his eyes, "And that ant, I could go anywhere I wanted."
He closed his eyes and turned away slightly from . Obviously my words have an effect on him and he did not imagine using his words against him.
"Could a sibling have that much of resemblance?" I asked him nonchalantly. Until I knew the truth I was not pointing accusing fingers anywhere.
He glanced at before answering, "no I do not think so."
I tutted under breath, "could perhaps be an evil twin that we might not be aware of?"
He shook his head.
I nodded, pursuing my lips and thinking about it. "I cannot imagine soone coming back from the dead, Tristan. Coming back from the brink of death is still imaginable but when I saw her dead face and her cracked neck I knew that she was dead. There was dew on her that ant that she had been there for a long period of ti so how was standing there in Allan’s room?"
He turned look at just as I stared at him.
"Or is it that I saw a ghost because I miss her so much?"
"Your mourned for her."
I nodded, scoffing at the end. "Yes Tristan, I mourned for her. I mourned her the day you found and chased down different alleys. I mourned for her every single day, when I am getting ready and sothing isn’t as perfection to as what Marylin it with. Today I wanted to move on with Alan. . .and. . " I closed my eyes.
It was the sa everyday because sohow everything managed to remind of Marilyn but this ti it was completely different. She stood in front of as if she was not dead and her barely clothed itself told that she was the one with Alan inside.
The giggle, after all, was awfully familiar.
He moved but I did no open my eyes to see where he had gone. Preferably, he would have gone outside not being able to deal with but I felt him sit in front of as his hands placed themselves on my knees.
I opened my eyes and and saw his concerned eyes looking at .
"There are many things that you are not aware of, Genevieve." He whispered to and anyone could see the dripping concern in his voice but I did not care.
"What do I know then? Who knows if soone can get back from the dead? What is that supposed to an?" I threw back at him before I narrowed my eyes at him. "Do you happen to know sothing about this? If yes, Tristan, do not hide this from !"
He stared at for a mont before he stood up but before he could I held his hands, "Please, don’t." I begged and I could feel the tears co to my eyes. "I have had enough of this Tristan. I mourned for her. I thought she was dead. I had lost her."
"Te-tell ," I choked on my voice, "Please."
