Tristan was avoiding . It did not take a short ti to figure it out. I had a hard ti figuring it out because there was no one apart from Anna who visited in this room. First it was Anna wbo kept on deflecting my questions whenever I asked about him. Then it was him not appearing continuously for three days in front of . Now I was tired and I was ready to leave my room.
I was walking aimlessly in the hallways because I was still not familiar with the palace. Also no one had been bothered to show what was aware including Anna who seems to be disappearing almost half of the day. So lady-in-waiting she saw! Marilyn was always available for and she was just perfect at it.
Where were any of them? I was surprised to find No one in the hallway. Usually servants were always walking in the hallways and they were never left alone but I had not even seen one by far.
"Genevieve?"
I froze and turned around imdiately. As I recognised too well who it was. When I turned to him I did a small courtesy and bowed my head in front of him a little.
He laughed at and I once again felt insignificant.
"How many tis do I have to tell you to treat as a friend and not the king? When I have given you the permission to call by my na I think you do not need to do courtesy in front of ."
I looked at him even though he had not asked to ease my position from bowing my head to looking at it. When he did not try for my mistake of looking up before he told to do it I nodded at him, understanding what he ant.
He tilted his head slightly as he had already covered with his height. If anything I know felt smaller than before.
"What are you doing in the hallway? Are you looking for soone?" A knowing look in his eyes had confird the suspicion that you already knew who I was looking for.
I nodded, "Tristan, Darius. I was looking for him."
He nodded and then looked down for a second before looking back at again. "Well if you want, you and I can take a walk in the gardens. I would like to talk to you about a few things."
Now it was kind of unfair because I want to refuse a and even though I knew that he had asked to treat him as the friend and not picking it was difficult because I could not reject it and he did not give the sense of security that Tristan gave , in fact has to be sothing completely different altogether.
But a small thought into my mind as I thought about it all. If Darius was going to ask a question then I was going to do it as well because it was only a given as it was not an interrogation for the conversation between friends.
I nodded politely with the head and tension in my mind as he led us to the gardens. We did not talk on the way to them and I realised that it was a different route then I had taken that day and Tristan had found in them, in fact the gardens were different too.
A frown creased my forehead as I thought about it. What gardens had Tristan taken to then?
"What gardens are these?" I asked him as I looked around the beautiful gardens. Now I truly wonder how it was that the snow did not crush them because every ground was covered in snow and I could not see the sand.
He smiled, "usually when a snow storm cos we can recognise the signs of them by now which is why we cover them."
I looked around and nodded as if I understood every word he said even though I did not understand the logic behind it.
I silently peeked at the man who was walking beside . He was taller than everyone I have seen and sohow closer to Tristian who had grown in height as well. Both of them seem to tower over every one that I have ever seen in my life who I could have said previously were tall.
The king of the north is handso as well. He had a small beard on his lower jaw that did not seem to ever grow and always remained the sa in size which gave him a rough look which suited him and the green eyes added more to his handsoness.
He humd loudly and gave a knowing look bringing out of my thinking.
"Our conversation at dinner was interrupted because my friend barged in. Would you like it to continue?"
Our conversation? "Since you have asked to consider you a friend Darius. I will be quite Frank with you. It was not a conversation, it was you asking questions."
He laughed lightly at that. " Point taken, my lady. But I just wanted to know what you thought of my friend. Would you be honest enough to tell that?"
I licked my lips lightly. It was only Maryland who knew what I thought about Tristan but of course in this case I will have to filter out slight things. Along with that if I asked the king a question while answering him I think he would be obligated to answer back.
"He was a charming person to be honest. When I t him previously he was a Jolly basin and he seed to be smiling but I noticed the change in him all of a sudden." I t his eyes with mine, " What happened?"
Sothing passed his eyes quickly, a quick display of emotion that he could not hold onto to conceal, before he narrowed them slightly at . "You are not as weak as people may think you are, Genevieve. Only you must realsie that."
