I stilled imdiately but the man that I had grown to call my husband tonight did not. He walked past as ift completely ignoring my presence and stood next to his mother.

I gulped, staring at all of them who was staring back at with emotions in the rice that I did not want to take the na of. "What is going on? Why are you looking at ?"

"Sweating sickness," my father started, "it is indeed a very dangerous disease. So dangerous that it can make the person change kingdoms."

" Ah, yes," Queen anastasia said, adding her two cents, " first ever heard of this. But I think we must take care of it imdiately before it spreads."

" Spread?" I muttered out, hearing them talk. I knew what they were talking about and what they had insisted upon. It only scared more to see sothing like this.

Could they really an it? My father had not yet responded and that was my only hope for him to deny it.

Still did not see anything and I stared at him with hopeful eyes full of tears.

"What is going on?" I asked again. Perhaps hopeful of the fact that they could be sothing else going on and I could plead not guilty.

"Oh, must you know," she muttered with disgust in his eyes that she was glaring down at with. This disgust was more than what she had looked down at the peasant girl with.

I turned to her who no need to the man who was standing in between her and my father.

He smiled at as he opened his mouth to speak. "Well, I could not help but make sure that the prince knew what was happening to him. I had to tell him how I found you in a brothel and how I bed you." He turned to the prince, " she was not pure then Also."

"That is not true!" I scread imdiately. " Tha—"

"Silence!" My father bellowed and I felt silence with a flinch. "Be silent, you have done enough as it is!"

But I have not done anything, I wanted to cry out pathetically.

He sighed and fell silent as I watched him. I waited for him to plead to the queen so that I could take a stand for myself for that. In fact he never said anything to the queen and just stood there in silence.

"Please," I turn to the queen taking matters into my own hands, "think of it. Why would I ever be in a brothel? How would a princess go there? How could I leave my own country and reach there!"

She had to believe but by far from what her expressions told she was not believing a single sentence from .

I raised my finger at the man pointing at him as he was nothing but dirt beneath my foot. "This man, you are ready to believe this man who is soone coming out of nowhere all of a sudden and telling you lies about that I spent a night with him rather than believing ?" I pointed to my chest. " I am soone who has dried blood in my veins. How is it that you believe scum co over ."

" True, how is it that I can believe nobody over a Royal Princess." She nodded as she understood the whole point. But then she placed her finger on the chin imitating a gesture that she was thinking about it.

"But now that I think about it, how would you explain this?" The man moved and I watched as he took out my anklet from his pocket.

I stepped back for a mont. I had never realised that the only anklet given to on my birth by the royal Church had been lost by . I had never paid attention to it and now that man held it up in front of all.

"Tell genevieve," she probbed with a sharp gaze, " tell how much to believe him now that he holds good evidence on how he t you."

She stepped closer to , " because if he had taken this angular from you, if I were you in the palace in a market the guards would have thrashed him to death." She spoke matter of fact, making almost cry out.

"I do not know," I lied, "but I was not in a brothel, I never was!" I lied again, " and I never slept with him or any other man!" This ti I spoke the truth.

" Did you?" She whispered haughty, disgusted by the very site of . " You wear white the colour of a pure bride yet you have done the most degraded things of all!"

I cried and shook my head. The tears fell without any remorse. "Please, believe . I have never done any such thing." I pleaded but none of them moved. Not the prince, not the queen and not even my own father.

My bottom lip trembled and so did my entire Joy say did not know what else to say. I could just played for the truth.

I really did not do it.

"I can pledge in front of God if you want." I offered in sha, "I would never lie in the the house of God. Please believe ."

The queen glared at for even ntioning His holy na. "Shut it."

But that did not shut because I wanted to survive and this was the mont that I was going to be casted aside.

"No, if you want then you can check." I could not believe my own words but desperation had take a different path. A part full of shalessness and cruelty. "You can see for yourself. I am untouched and—"

" Have you no sha remaining anymore?!" My ftsher glared, making stop talking and drown in hoplessness.

What else could I said that would make them believe in?

"King Henry," the queen turned to him, " I must address this matter imdiately and within these walls." What?

My father did not even glance at . "I think you must." He agreed right away.
