They brought out the viel and the crown imdiately. We were late already and they were the ones going to be punished for it.

Who said that wearing a crown was easy? The weight of it crushed along with the responsibilities it brought along. I stumbled underneath it as my legs buckled but rilyn held onto imdiately.

"Careful," even my father said as he ca to my aid and held my hand.

It was ti, I gulped as we walked to the rooms. Countless hallways ca in our way before we stepped out to the palace where a grand carriage stood waiting. It was decorated for , the bride.

The maids helped get inside the carriage and my father sat inside with . For the first ti, we were sitting in such proximity alone. There was no one else that we could talk to and I was in no hurry to make it easier for any of us. Cheers went on as the guards barricaded the people from coming to us and stopping the carriage.

"Wave, Genevieve," he said and the maid sitting in front unlatched the windows and we waved to them making the cheers beco even louder. Why were all of them so happy? None of them was getting married so I did not understand the reason for the smiles on their faces.

I saw the building from afar. The flag of our religion and the royal family of the country hung together. The only ti churches wood decorating was when a royal event was taking place because they were getting their funds from the royal family itself. This was the wedding of the only child of the queen no less the king to the future throne. The church was decorated to its very best.

My grip tightened on the seat. This was it. The carriage stopped in front of the church and I was held out of it. My long veil ascended from the stairs as I took each step forward. Everyone hushed at the announcent of the bride.

The doors in front of opened as I held my father’s herbal. Everyone turned to look at and I could feel the heated eyes making my skin prickled even more than before. The restlessness I felt did not subside but only increased further.

I tried my best to calm down the shaking I felt. The bouquet of flowers in my hand was shaking even though I was keeping It tightly to make sure that no one could see it. The aisle where I always dreamt of getting by red now seed like a prison cell to i. As I walked closer to where and striked at like that how much I had changed.

He held his hand out and I smiled a little at him. Taking it I felt my father’s hand.

For the first ti losing my father’s touch felt like sothing. . . Like it ant to , like a hand protection had been waived off and I was out in the wild, in the open, where there was a danger of surrounding. I stood in front of the prince and in front of God.

He held my trembling hand and gave a small reassuring smile in return. Did you understand my nerves? He did love soone else so he must know what it felt like.

The priest began but I really could not hear anything. His lips moved and I just waited for him to tell to tell what to do like I had been all my life.

"Do you, Terrence Arithe Stonebow, son of Annatesia and Arthur Stonebow, take thee genevieve to be a lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," his answer was imdiate. He did not think twice before saying that.

"Do you promise to be with her in sickness and in health?"

"I do."

"Do you vow to provide for her, to hold her hand through every problem you may encounter as a married couple, As man and wife?"

" I do." His resolve remained absolute.

The priest turned to and my heart started to be loud. I was aware of the attention I was receiving from every single soul in this Church.

"Genevieve Hearthorne," he started, "daughter of Cynthia and Henry hearthorne, do you take turns to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

I glanced at him before looking at the priest again. "I do." I nodded, my whisper lower than that of his absolute voice.

"Do you promise to be with him in sickness and in health?"

"I do." I gained more courage.

He nodded, continuing further, "Do you vow to listen to love and obey him unconditionally?"

Now, I could feel the eyes of everyone on much more than before. Everyone was waiting for this answer.

"Yes." I whispered out. "I do." But I didn’t want too.

The priest continue talking further. He did not stop and no one was there is no stoppin. Party I hope that I had the strength to work out of hair and never turned back to those people. The people that I had expected to be here by my side were absent. My sister’s to had abandoned.

"Bring the rings." The priest requested and they were imdiately brought forward.

Parents took a ring first which was ant for . It had a huge erald diamond in between indicating that it was of his house and I was going to wear it on my ring finger as the bride that had married into the family.

He had my hand already in his and he slipped the wedding ring on it. It glided on easily.

I kept looking at it. The ring that said, I was no a married woman, a princess of another country.

His grape tightened on my hand quickly for a mont before losing and again. It brought back to reality as I took over the ring that was for him embedded with the sa colour of diamonds that I had. I slipped in on the ring on his finger and glided on just as easily.

"You may kiss the bride."

I didn’t think that one. From the priest my eyes move to the prince imdiately. He was already looking at and I was sure that my widened eyes did not surprise him.

He leaned in and no matter how much I wanted to move away, I knew I couldn’t.

If I denied The Prince today The Prince could easily deny the treaty that had ford between us. That would be very troubleso and no one would ever let live it down even if our marriage has succeeded.

I saw him get closer, my husband with tears but I close them as his lips moved closer. I could do nothing about it but short open deal with that.

Soft lips were felt on him and the entire crowd erupted in cheers. The ceremony was over.

He pulled back and I noticed it imdiately.

He held out his elbow to and I took it gracefully. They stepped out to the walk to the carriage now as husband and wife.

The maids once again helped in and Prince ca in after . As the door closed for the facade and silence, I could not help with the question that was running into my mind after all of these are taken place.

He didn’t kiss . Even though I had Never been kissed before except for one man I knew placing one’s lips on another was not considered a kiss.

I glanced at him from the corner of my eyes. He did love another didn’t he?

The dress felt tighter on and I wanted to take it off imdiately. The cloth felt way too harsh on than it ever before.

"Are you alright?" I heard him say, "I saw your shivering. You must be very nervous for today."

I wanted to snap at him. That was sothing he should have said to when they had begun. Now it was almost over and so was the ceremony.

"I was, a little bit." Yet I tried my best to remain civil with him. I was married to him and I was going to spend the rest of my life within which ant that being bitter would get nowhere.

Soon the carriage stopped and then ca to our castle. The castle that was going to host all the attendees of the wedding. A grand feast was in order and I and the Prince were sitting at the head table along with my family and with the queen.

"To the Prince and Princess Stonebow!"

It all began and I could say for the first ti in this day that I was actually enjoying the food. So this day was not at all bad as I was enjoying at least sothing.

I took spoonful of rise to my mouth when I saw soone coming to the prince and imdiately halted my movents.

His Sinister eyes glanced at and felt my hand tremble along with the rice that now fell back to the plate and so on the table.

He was here and I watched as

he whispered sothing into the year of the prince who then looked at with the earliest I could have never imagined soone would look at with.
