Enoch's hands fell away from Eos's wrist, and his body was a ruin. His left arm was gone, and his chest was split open from sternum to shoulder.
His throat was a ragged hole, and his face, the absence that had been so terrible and absolute, was now a map of wounds, each one weeping darkness, each one screaming.
While Eos was stabbing, Enoch had been exploding with the power of End, tearing the void to pieces, but Eos had been thodical, making sure that although he was losing one, Enoch would pay a million for each of those losses.
There was no space in his mind for anything else but to butcher Enoch in the most efficient manner possible.
At first, Enoch had been fiery, cursing and condemning Eos, but slowly his attitude began to change.
From arrogance to anger and then astonishnt to wariness and from wariness to fear, and that fear was sothing that Enoch did not know he could feel, could not understand how he could feel it.
Eos, in many ways, was still a ninth-dinsional being, and he was in the tenth dinsion. He held all the destructive powers that there could ever be. Why was it that he was the one dying?
"You cannot," Enoch whispered, and his voice was barely a voice now, as it had beco broken and dying. "You cannot kill . I am the end. I am the only end. Without , there is no…"
Eos responded by cocking his head to the side and pausing the fall of his blade. Enoch saw that, and he shook. Perhaps he had been able to penetrate the hard head of the bastard and divert his attention for the mont.
"Let us talk as representatives of our Origin, we cannot…"
Eos closed his eyes, and then he slowly raised his right hand, and Enoch followed his rising hand with a single eye, and he nearly scread when he saw the Origin of End manifested in Eos's palm.
However, this End was not the End that Enoch wielded; it was sothing that Eos had been cultivating from the first mont he took a life.
He rembered it as if it had just happened; it was when he killed a demonic wolf as a child inside the Nexus.
And then from that mont, Eos had been taking lives; so were not taken in the right manner, but his intent had never been to cause destruction, nor did he luxuriate in the life that he took; he was just trying to do all he could until he got all the answers… and now he had it.
While he was destroying End, End was also destroying him, but unlike Enoch, whose only concern was the preservation of his life, Eos's concern was the preservation of all life and not necessarily his own.
It was the reason he could stand outside of himself and see this problem from all sides.
Why should End behave in the manner that it did? And the truth was that End had beco broken, and if that was the case, Eos would do what he did with Existence; instead of trying to make do with what was corrupted, he would recreate sothing new.
Origin by itself could not understand the forces of End, since it was pure creation, but Eos was different; he had lived without a soul, he had stood on both sides of the equation and had wielded the power of End, he was becoming Origin, but his knowledge of End did not die; they were growing.
End had been broken by the Great One to be a force that was pure corruption, and Eos chose to see End as sothing different.
To him, End was not destruction but completion
The end of hunger… the end of need… the end of suffering.
Not everything was ant to live forever; so things must end for sothing new to be born, and this was always the function of End before it was corrupted by the Great One. Eos, under the relentless bombardnt of End, had finally found the truth in the midst of the endless lies.
Rember that the Origin of Truth could beco any Origin, as long as there was a complete understanding of that truth.
And when Eos raised his hand, he was raising the truth of End, and Enoch could hardly even comprehend what he was seeing before he drove it into his chest.
He did not use his Destroyer, just his bare, ichor-blackened, bone-cracked hand.
Eos drove it through the wound the arrow had left, along the canyon he had carved with the Destroyer as he ravaged Enoch's flesh, and finally through the absence that was Enoch's core.
And with his hand covered with the true power of End, he grasped the core.
His fingers closed around the wellspring of End that had been feeding Enoch since the beginning of ti, and he pulled.
There was this strange look of incomprehension in Enoch's eye before he scread one of the most wretched sounds that had ever been made, which was not far from the truth due to the levels of violation he had just suffered.
Perhaps there may be higher levels of understanding in the future, but for now, Origin and End were the most powerful forces, and Eos had just driven to the core of this force and showed it the true form that it would take.
These forces were so complex that no Primordial would be able to understand it, and to shake the foundation of such a force was a violation that went beyond words.
Enoch lost control of his body, and Eos ripped out his core.
The core of End was not a thing that could be described, because you could not even see it. What Eos held was a presence that had weight and pressure, but was seemingly non-existent.
Eos held it in his hand, and he closed his eyes and allowed himself to feel what Enoch had felt with this core inside of him.
He grimaced and opened his eyes. What he had felt was loneliness and fear. A fear that was the desperate, screaming need to be the only thing that mattered.
Eos sneered, and he crushed it, and Enoch's body went limp as his source of power vanished.
His form of light that he created to mock Origin began to collapse like a mountain that had been hollowed from within.
Ichor poured from every wound. His arms, the one that had been severed and the one that was still attached, fell away. His legs buckled, and his chest caved in.
There was nothing left for this being to depend on…. And still, he did not die.
"You cannot," he whispered, and his voice was barely a breath now, wet and broken and finished. "You cannot end . Father… Great One… save , I have only ever been loyal to your words."
Eos looked up at the massive Eternal Tower in the distance, and there was silence, but he knew that eyes had been watching this entire battle, other Luminious who stayed inside the tower and did not raise a hand to aid their champion.
"Please… save ," Enoch begged as he reached out towards the tower, and Eos raised his foot and brought it down.
Driving his heel into Enoch's face.
