"This is Arcturus, he had... great talent, and he was my firstborn, like you and Elura, he grew up a mortal, and even though the advantage of this would be the chance to develop a variation of my bloodline that is equally as powerful as mine, it leaves behind a great weakness that would need to be corrected, unless they choose to forever be stuck at the fifth dinsion, to pass the sixth dinsion, you would have to bear a portion of the mory of Primordial Life, and a mind that is not focused on a singular path would drown under the weight of it all."
Arcturus stood before the shores of the endless ocean of mory, and the confidence in his stance faltered; he stood before the endless enormity of a Primordial, and he knew that he was nothing. He looked towards the heavens for a mont where it seed that a storm was gathering, and then he stepped into the ocean, and he never returned.
Reality blurred, countless scenes seed to go by and another man stood in front of Rowan, he was as distinguished as Archturus, maybe even more so, and he was not shy with the display of his powers that shook reality all around him,
"Ah, Selos, the mory of him is never far from , he was quite special, and I believed that if there was anyone that would survive the weight of Primordial Life mories without picking a path, it would be him, but..."
Like Archturus before him, Selos saw the imnsity of the tribulation before him, and he faltered, but unlike Archturus, he seed to feed off of his despair, and his size began to expand until he grew so large that even Rowan could not see the full scope of his body, and Selos took a step forward and all of reality seed to reverberate with that step, this was a true titan. He entered into the ocean of mory, and he never returned.
It was with this thod that countless others entered the ocean, male, and female, their forms blurred as Seed kept showing him these mories faster and faster, hundreds of millions of individuals passing by in what should span a ti fra of many multiple minor eras.
Seed had been looking for a child far in the past, perhaps going back to the dawn of the Primordial Era, and by all indications, he would always fail, he was simply too special and the thods he was using were quite unconventional, giving a Primordial bloodline to a mortal, and then she ca along, Elura.
Rowan saw her now like he had never seen her before, her appearance had not changed, she was still ungodly beautiful, but not in a girlish manner, but of a mature woman, tall, proud, powerful and glorious, and even in her green and golden dress that made her appear like a queen, it could not hide the valiance in her stance. This was the first ti Rowan was seeing Elura as a warrior. She had not lived a sheltered life in the least.
"Ah, Elura, True Daughter of Primordial Life, she who blooms and withers like the sun that rises and sets... Did you know that even if you chose a path, the chances that you will survive only increase, it is not an assurance you will survive, it only gives you a possibility of it, or did you think Elura was the first to pick a path before entering the mory, she was not, but she was the only one that survived the process."
Rowan saw Elura standing before the shore of this ocean, she stood there for what seed like years, and unlike others that had gone before her, she did not simply step into the ocean, instead, she turned, and her gaze found Rowan and Seed, and for the briefest of monts there was no hint of recognition in her eyes but then Rowan saw it appear as if the mory of the future had crossed the endless expanse of ti and space and Elura knew who he was,
"My son," she said, her voice sweeter than the gentle chi of a silver bell, and held such great strength like a universal storm, "the pain in your heart is heavy, and it will drown you when you enter this ocean. Do not think cruel or you shall not survive if you carry all of that pain with you. Either accept the pain and let it guide your path, or let it go; you cannot choose to carry both; such a path is not one for us. This is the price of your power, and if your hatred of ensures your survival, then that is a great exchange!"
Reality blurred and Rowan was back in his body, still held bound by the shackles of Seed, and he looked forward to see Elura and Seed, standing side by side, their gaze turned towards him and Rowan shook his head internally, this must be the greatest case of misaligned intentions that he had ever seen.
All of this problem, the actions of Seed would be nothing if they could see the size of Rowan's fucking dinsional soul, or the fact that his bloodline had exceeded that of even the Primordials, or at least was equal to them but no longer on the sa spectrum.
He was only here because he understood that despite not being under the Primordial banner, there were still similarities between his power system and theirs, and the fact that he was still walking the dinsional ladder, a system that was created by the Primordials ant he was still tied to them. His instincts were telling him that he needed sothing before he took the next steps, else he would regret his decision to activate his Origin Bloodline, and that instinct had led him here, but now he was trapped under the weight of ignorance, and Maeve had paid the price for it.
Seed and Elura believed that he was a Breaker, a talented immortal who they needed to nurture so that he could be their greatest weapon, and in ti, he would mature to beco their equal.
What they did not understand was that he no longer placed Old Ones in his eyes, sure they were stronger than him, but their potential was set, they could never beco Primordials, a billion Seed was not equal to a single Primordial, and Rowan aid to battle multiple Primordials in the future, their concerns were nothing to him.
Did their ignorance warrant their actions? Maybe, but the truth was that they were so enclosed in the security of their power and their places in the world that they did not fear his wrath, else why would they test him like this.
If he was not wrong, Seed and Elura should be at the peak of what an Old One aspired to beco, and in existence there must only be an extrely few number of Old Ones that were stronger than them, and they expected that Rowan would simply be their equal in the future and so whatever grievances he had against them could be easily resolved.
When I burn the Tree of Life, it must be before the gaze of Seed, he has a perfect mory, and he shall relieve this mont as long as I let him, but that is not the problem at this ti, how can I convince them that I can be on both path without making them commit more grievous errors against ? Guess I would have to fake it, choose a single path to get out of this ss!
Seed, seemingly reading his mind, sighed, "I have done this millions of tis, Romion; you cannot fake it."
Rowan's eyes widened in surprise and Seed chuckled,
"I know precisely what you are contemplating because I have seen it many tis before. By now you are thinking that with that weird Will of yours, you can truly pretend that you have taken a path, and I admit, even though it pains , that you will be right, I would be deceived by it, but there is sothing I did not show you about the mory of Primordial Life, or at least I did not elaborate upon it, and if you were perceptive, you would have heard your mother telling you the secret."
Seed paused as if he was tasting the words he was about to say next, "Your mories have weight, and they would beco a burden to your soul the mont you enter that ocean, and if you don't have a singular path that can slice through that burden like a blade, you will be drowned, never to return. Usually, for those who have not resolved their path, a storm appears over the ocean, and even if you lie to now, then the storm would reveal the truth, but by that ti, it would be too late. You would fail, and your endless potential would co to nothing"
