Chapter 263: 151 Bullying Back (Second Update)_2

Xiao Liulang pretended not to notice her little eye movents.

Upon entering the outer hall of Minghui Hall, Li Siye instructed, “You guys stay down there and keep watch. Make sure no one intrudes; I’ll wait here for Zheng Siye.”

Li Siye had a stellar reputation at Guozijian for his integrity and honesty. The two n did not suspect anything, so they hurried away to guard the entrance.

At first, Xiao Liulang and Gu Jiao really thought that Li Siye was there to see Zheng Siye. Little did they know that as soon as the two attendants left, Li Siye started rummaging through Minghui Hall.

The outer hall was not particularly large or small.

While he searched sneakily, he was rather quick.

Gu Jiao was puzzled.

Xiao Liulang, however, had sowhat guessed what was happening.

Li Siye continued searching until he ca to the third row of bookshelves, which were right beside the column where Xiao Liulang and Gu Jiao were hiding.

The two held their breath and desperately tried to squeeze further back.

With a wall right behind them, however, they could only retreat so much. They had no choice but to face each other, their proximity causing their breaths to mingle.

The column was only a foot thick. It was only then that Xiao Liulang noticed that Gu Jiao had grown taller.

Gu Jiao had indeed grown taller, but since he was also growing taller, he hadn’t really noticed much in terms of her height. But her womanly figure…

Xiao Liulang tried his best not to touch where he shouldn’t.

Gu Jiao, too, tried to press herself against the wall behind her.

“Can’t find it? That can’t be…” Li Siye’s search drew him closer to the column.

Part of Xiao Liulang’s clothes protruded from behind the column.

Gu Jiao reached out to pull him over, but he beat her to it, wrapping an arm around her slender waist and spinning so his back was against the cold wall.

He cupped her small, soft body in his arms.

This was the first ti he had taken the initiative.

Gu Jiao hadn’t expected him to be so bold.

His chest was burning hot, full of strength.

Gu Jiao thought: Not only did this guy buy black clothes behind my back, but he also worked out his pecks!

His chest was firm, while hers was soft in contrast.

His blood rushed to his head.

Then—

Li Siye anxiously muttered, “That’s odd… where did he put the monthly exam papers?”

Just as Li Siye was about to finish searching this row of shelves and move to the next, footsteps were heard in the corridor.

His hands shook, stuffing the disheveled scrolls back onto the shelf. He rushed to the center of the Grand Hall and tidied up his clothes, feigning innocence.

Zheng Siye entered the Grand Hall and looked suspiciously at Li Siye. “I heard that you’ve been looking for urgently,” he said.

Trying to stay composed, Li Siye replied, “Yes, there’s a horse archery class in Shuaixin Hall tomorrow. I heard that so students were injured during the last class in the girls’ school. I was wondering if we should cancel the class for now.”

“Is that your idea of urgent?” Zheng Siye said, scowling. “Fine, we’ll cancel it. In the future, you can just make those decisions on your own. Don’t bother asking .”

“Yes, sir,” Li Siye bowed his head.

“Anything else?” asked Zheng Siye.

Li Siye glanced at the unfinished search, lowered his gaze and said, “No, I will take my leave now.”

Although both of them held the position of Siye, there was no need for him to address himself as a lower-ranking official.

It was because he was acting as the Guozijian administrator.

Zheng Siye’s expression softened at his display of deference, and he said, “Very well, it’s getting late anyway. I should be going back too. Let’s go.”

“After you, sir,” Li Siye bowed.

They left Minghui Hall one after another.

If they went after him now, Li Siye would be stamring with guilt.

Gu Jiao actually had figured out why Li Siye was searching for the monthly exam papers. He had doubts about Xiao Liulang’s grades and wanted to help him clear things up.

Such a nice guy.

They couldn’t get him involved.

Gu Jiao decided to save beating up Mr. Zheng for another ti.

The distance between them was still the sa as before, and it felt as though their hearts were beating together.

Xiao Liulang’s heart was beating faster while Gu Jiao, who was enjoying his handso features, was more composed.

After all, she never felt shy about openly appreciating beautiful people!

“Umm…” Xiao Liulang cleared his throat.

Gu Jiao understood his intention and took a step back, putting distance between them.

The lights in Minghui Hall had been extinguished before the two Siye departed, but the faint moonlight seeping in spotlighted Xiao Liulang’s handso face.

Xiao Liulang felt a little embarrassed.

Gu Jiao took a quick look at him and said calmly, “I understand. It’s a normal male reaction, you don’t need to be embarrassed.”

Xiao Liulang: “…”

Thanks, but that’s not exactly comforting.

Gu Jiao turned to leave, then paused as if rembering sothing and said, “You’re not that young anymore, maybe you should go ho… relieve yourself.”
