Chapter 1607: 775 Domineering Auntie (Part 1)

Gu Jiao first went to Xiao Hen’s place to check on Xiao Jingkong. The two little beans had been up all night and were already exhausted and asleep.

Because the king had a severe headache attack and was resting in the guest room at Qilin Palace, the Little Princess had not returned to the palace, and the two little beans were fast asleep on the bed.

Gu Jiao bent over and touched Xiao Jingkong’s forehead, then the Little Princess’s, and whispered, “Thank you, Xiaoxue.”

If it weren’t for the Little Princess accidentally bringing the king ahead of ti, giving Gu Changqing half an hour of rescue ti, by the ti they finished with the Crown Prince, Gu Changqing would have been a cold corpse.

Although Gu Changqing hadn’t completely escaped danger, at least it gave her a chance to save him.

The Little Princess couldn’t hear what the teacher was saying; she was sound asleep, her small mouth moving slightly as she breathed softly, happy in her little dream.

Gu Jiao returned to her own room, fetched so water from the side room to wash her hair and bath, and changed into fresh clothes.

Just after she tied her belt, she heard a knocking on the door.

“It’s .”

Xiao Hen said.

Gu Jiao walked over and opened the door for him.

She had just bathed, wearing loose sleepwear. It was late at night, and her black hair was wrapped casually on her head with a cloth, a strand of hair slipping out and hanging beside her left cheek.

Her hair was like ink, with water droplets on the tips, barely falling.

Her skin was crystal clear and delicate, with a red birthmark on her cheek as vivid as a peach blossom.

Xiao Hen really just ca to see her, but the sight of her was too overwhelming.

His breath caught, and his throat moved slightly.

Gu Jiao looked down at her collar; she was dressed quite conservatively and wasn’t exposed.

Xiao Hen cleared his throat, forcing himself to calm down, and handed her a bowl of hot ginger soup to mask his awkwardness, “The kitchen just made ginger soup. You got caught in the rain earlier, drink so to avoid catching a cold.”

“Oh.” Gu Jiao reached out to take the ginger soup.

“I’ll do it.” Xiao Hen said, then paused, “May I co in?”

“Of course.” Gu Jiao stepped aside, motioning for him to enter.

Xiao Hen carried the ginger soup inside.

Gu Jiao had just bathed in the side room, and the air was filled with the delicate scent of soapwort and her enchanting feminine fragrance.

Xiao Hen struggled to keep his thoughts in check.

Gu Jiao pushed the window open. At this ti, the rain had stopped, and the courtyard was filled with the fresh scent of wet earth and grass, refreshing her mind.

“Drink the ginger soup,” Xiao Hen said.

“Okay.” Gu Jiao walked over to the stool, picked up the bowl, and drank the brown sugar ginger soup in one go. “Did you put sugar in this?”

“You aren’t—” Xiao Hen glanced at her flat belly nonchalantly and said, “Yes, there’s a little sugar.”

Gu Jiao was approaching her ti of the month, but she herself had forgotten.

Gu Jiao made a sound of acknowledgnt.

There, she rembered it now.

Xiao Hen moved a stool to sit in front of her, “How is your injury?”

Gu Jiao stretched out her hand, “It’s healed long ago.”

Her injuries healed quickly, the place on her palm that had been chafed to the bone by the reins had already scabbed and peeled off. She barely felt anything during the surgery.

“Your leg.” Xiao Hen added.

Earlier, her legs were so weak she had to sit in a wheelchair.

Although a person can tap into trendous potential in an ergency, afterwards they still feel twice as exhausted and weak.

Gu Jiao looked at her legs, which suddenly wouldn’t obey her, frowning slightly, “It wasn’t that bad until you ntioned it. Now I feel a bit weak.”

Xiao Hen didn’t know whether to be angry or amused.

He bent down, placing Gu Jiao’s legs on his own, and with his long, jade-like fingers, he gently massaged her legs.

His massage was so soothing that Gu Jiao couldn’t help but squint her eyes in enjoynt, like a little cat being stroked.

Xiao Hen looked at her, smiled slightly, and seed to hesitate as if he wanted to say sothing.

Gu Jiao noticed his expression and asked, “Do you have sothing to ask ?”

Xiao Hen thought for a mont, then nodded, “Yes… I have so questions.”

Gu Jiao asked, “About the operating room?”

Xiao Hen replied, “Exactly.”

Gu Jiao could almost guess. What she had shown today exceeded the understanding of this era. It was a miracle they hadn’t asked on the spot, and Gu Chengfeng had already held back his questions during his second entrance to the secret room.

He managed to hold it in until now.

“What are your thoughts?” Gu Jiao asked.

Thinking of Gu Chengfeng’s question he had overheard in the corridor, Xiao Hen said, “I almost thought you were a fairy from the heavens, using the immortal techniques of Yunxiao Nine Palaces.”
