Chapter 65: Chapter 65 - Stay away from my ex-wife

Robin smiled a little. How smart of Martin to have caught it very fast? Perhaps he caught it due to what happened at the birthday party.

"Now you sound ridiculous. I am a businessman."

Martin was furious that he tried to deny it and went on to say,

"You are trying to get back at

because of what I said about you and Zayla." Robin did not deny it anymore, saying,

"Well, when you touch the tail of a scorpion, you should have a taste of its poison."

Martin frowned deeply. Since he was a child, he has had to wait for Robin to get tired of Sabrina because Sabrina never got tired of loving him.

Now he was here trying to ss things up for him after Martin’s prayers had been answered. Martin could not fly with it.

"So how long is this revenge ga of yours supposed to take?" He asked seriously. If there was sothing he could do for Robin to stop, he would gladly do it but it was not easy to stop Robin from doing sothing when his mind was set on it.

"For as long as I want but as for now, I have no intention to stop," Robin said seriously.

Since he suspected that Sabrina was carrying his child, he was going to protect her in any way he could.

"Was it not the reason why you bought the necklace for Sabrina at that outrageous price?" Martin asked.

He thought that was the greatest embarrassnt but this is even worse. He did not regret going against Robin because it was sothing he has always wanted to do.

His only regret was his inability to operate independently.

Robin did not hide it from him and rather taunted him rcilessly, "For her, I was willing to spend more but you quit too early on. Are you stingy or you are just broke?"

Robin provokingly used the word broke, knowing that Martin was not in fact broke. He was just limited and that was to Robin’s advantage.

"You are being childish," Martin observed and said but Robin raised his brows as if surprised while he said mockingly,

"Really? Tell

about it."

Since Robin was bent on mocking him, Martin was equally ready to pull so taunts, knowing that Robin would not admit it.

"It’s just

and you here. Are you in love with your ex-wife?"

Robin has never seen himself as loving any woman, except Zayla, for the fact that she saved his life.

Concerning Sabrina, he could not explicitly explain how he felt about her, and that has been a constant ss of his emotions. He addressed Martin sternly,

"Mr. Dane, trying to protect her from the likes of you is not a bad idea."

"The likes of ?" Martin scoffed. Then he added bitterly, "You talk as if you are an angel when you are the one who hurt her the most."

He could not believe that Robin was trying to make him the bad one when all he ever did was love Sabrina, while waiting for the opportunity to show it to her.

Robin smiled vindictively,

"Don’t you think that you are acting all too righteous?" He raised his brows questioningly and Martin had no idea what he was up to. He responded seriously,

"Compared to

and you, I am a better match because I love her."

Robin laughed mockingly. He had zero tolerance for pretentious people and saw Martin as one of them. From the look of things, he could not continue being diplomatic about it and decided to call a spade a spade.

"If you truly love her, then why have you not told her about your sister?"

Robin glared at Martin and the latter froze. Robin smiled with satisfaction at his reaction before continuing to say,

"You look surprised but trust , Mr. Dane, I know more about you than you know about yourself. When you can tell her about your sister, then we can have a proper talk."

Martin’s heart was already racing. He knew how much Devin hated Mara because of that fire. Even as an adult, Devin had ntioned a few tis that he was not satisfied because Sabrina almost died in the fire and had not gotten any justice.

He went on to say that he wished he had seen Mara. Like he would make sure to equally lock her in a room and set a fire. Martin was afraid by then because he knew that Devin ant his words.

He also knew that everything Devin felt for him would turn to hate if he found out that Mara was his sister and was also alive.

This was the first ti Martin was afraid. He was afraid of not only losing Devin but also Sabrina. They would loath him for hiding the woman who almost killed her and did not allow Sabrina to get any justice.

This would be worse because Mara had not changed and only gotten worse. She would never apologize and would rather want to finish what she started a long ti ago.

Martin felt as if he fell into a pit. But how did Robin know? That information was well hidden and did Robin know about Mara’s location?

Martin had to do sothing. He shook his head and tried to hide his fears,

"I do not have a sister."

"You can tell that to Sabrina but not , Martin Sula." Martin froze again at how Robin addressed him by his birth na. This ti, his forehead was beaded with sweat.

Robin could indeed not be ssed with. He was not just powerful but had all the knowledge he needed. He could crush anyone under his feet. Robin smiled at his discomfort and taunted once more,

"Have you told Sabrina the reason why you changed your na?" Martin trembled but once again, could not answer the question. Robin smiled a little and asked once more,

"I might be a Casanova but at least I don’t hide it. I don’t have secrets. So, Mr. Dane, how far can you go?"

Robin relaxed his back calmly on the chair and glared at him.

"What...what do you want?" Martin found himself stamring for the first ti. Robin smiled,

"My request is simple. Stay away from my ex-wife."

Before Martin could agree or not agree, the sound of a slap was heard from Sabrina’s table, and both n turned their heads in that direction.
