Chapter 51: Chapter 51 – He was upset because of the things she said about Sabrina.

"So, if Sabrina wanted to partner with you, would you agree?" Zayla blinked back her tears and asked. Robin did not know how to explain it anymore since her understanding of business was very shallow. He tried anyway.

"Zayla, JC Minerals is already making it. I haven’t researched them yet but from the way Sabrina was bent on selling jewelry, I could guess that their sales had dwindled. Now that it has picked up, any company would want to partner with them including

but I know that she would never want

near it."

As Zayla pondered over his explanation, her heart sank deeper and deeper. So, Robin would have loved to partner with Sabrina if she wanted to but not her father who was desperate for his help. As if she was just realizing it, she exclaid in a dismayed tone,

"We are here now."

Robin was about to open the door but stopped and issued a warning, lest she took so secret photos or went to spurt so nonsense sowhere.

"Let’s go in but Zayla, an engagent ring is the furthest I’d go. I have too many things on my mind and marriage is the least of my concerns at the mont."

A tear dropped down Zayla’s cheek before she could fight it but quickly wiped it with the back of her hand. Robin was not a man moved by tears but by reason. She tried to show it was okay, for as long as he bought the ring for her.

"People get engaged for years before getting married."

Robin stilled a little, realizing that she did not understand the aning of his words, and explained further, "And Zayla, there would be no engagent party."

Zayla’s mood after the understanding settled, was terrible but at least she was going to wear a ring Robin bought himself. That cald the brewing storm in her heart. While they walked into the shop as the security personnel held the glass door for them, Robin was dismayed at Zayla’s choice of a jewelry shop but did not utter it.

He also ensured to not show any form of physical contact as he would have done before.

"Hi, Miss Chance, I’m glad you are here to return the ring on ti and Mr. Jewel, it’s nice to et you," the sales girl greeted politely. Robin was nonchalant and said,

"She wants an engagent ring. Give her sothing nice." He went to sit on the visitor’s chair and crossed his leg whilst browsing on the phone. Again, Zayla felt as if she had been thrown under the carpet.

"Darling, won’t you choose the right one for

please?"

Robin frowned, as his gaze moved from the screen of his phone. He said seriously, "Zayla, I’m not good with such things. Just choose what you want."

Robin was used to the executive style of shopping but those services were not rendered in places like this, for which reason he was quite disappointed that she ca to buy the jewelry here.

No wonder she originally bought a fake one. Zayla covered her dismay with a beautiful smile as the sales girl pointed to a 14-carat diamond ring,

"This is beautiful. It costs just 50k," she announced.

Zayla was greatly upset. She wanted sothing to flaunt her status and here she was, recomnding sothing so cheap when no one asked her. She glanced in Robin’s direction and saw him busy on his phone. Then she lowered her voice and snarled,

"Are you crazy? I want the most expensive engagent ring."

The sales girls smiled nervously and replied, "Then you should keep what you are wearing. It’s 60k.

Zayla realized that she had indeed been duped earlier. She intentionally did not ntion earlier that she knew the ring was fake. Sohow, she hoped that Sabrina had been the one to judge wrongly but turns out that Sabrina was right. She feigned shock and exclaid,

"But you said it was 4 million."

"I’m sorry but that was the original and it’s already sold. We only showcase the fake ones due to recent ard robbery cases."

Not being able to endure Zayla, fury, she explained further, "Please don’t get

wrong. We are expecting new jewelry but they haven’t co in yet. You can check back next week."

Zayla would have wished to co back later for the new models but it did not seem that Robin would have the ti to take her out again. It would turn out to be just her and who knows, if she was pranked with another fake one, she would not be able to detect it but with Robin here, the sales girl would not dare.

"No. You lied to . You made

borrow a fake ring and people laughed at ."

Robin lifted his head to glance at their direction due to Zayla’s raised voice and the sales girl shivered slightly.

"I’m sorry but you picked it yourself. I didn’t do so for you. You also did not ask if it was fake or original," she apologized nervously.

When Robin rose to his feet, she was even more scared but he glanced at the screen of his phone again and frowned before saying,

"Zayla, I have to et soone. Should I take you ho or you’ll take a cab? I can as well send a driver to get you."

Zayla bit her lower lip bitterly. Robin was not a gentleman. Did he bring her to embarrass her because it wasn’t his idea to co here? Swallowing the pain, she responded,

"Please drop

at the penthouse but I won’t take more than three minutes. Robin was already at the door before she asked the sales girl with an undertone,

"What is the most expensive ring you have at the mont?"

"This one. It’s 1.2 million," the sales girl turned around and brought a different one that was not on display. Zayla slipped it onto her ring finger and asked Robin,

"Darling, I’ll take this one. How does it look?" She flaunted it towards him.

"If you like it, then it’s fine. You are free to use your black card. It has enough funds in it," Robin said and walked out, leaving her awkward in front of the sales girl.

It was obvious that she managed to get him upset because of the things she said about Sabrina. Zayla grounded her teeth, she was sure that they turned to powder.
