Chapter 357: Chapter 357 – Complications Arise

Gladys responded, "Sobody sent , but I don’t know him."

Robin grew furious at her answer. Sabrina realized that things were not going to be so simple.

She picked up a bottle of water from his fridge and sat on the visitor’s sofa in his office.

Robin stared at the security guard and, just as he was about to grab Gladys by the arm, she pleaded,

"I swear, I haven’t seen him before."

Robin lifted his hand to signal the security guard to pause before he asked Gladys again,

"So how do you communicate with him?"

He felt that she was lying, and Sabrina agreed, but Gladys’ response only confused them further.

"I don’t communicate directly with him. He finds and sends

ssages," Gladys explained.

Sabrina frowned deeply, wanting to ask for further explanations, but she knew that Robin could handle it better.

"Explain," Robin said calmly, determined to uncover her lies.

Gladys began to explain, "I hit a brand-new car driven from the warehouse. The driver asked

to pay, and since I couldn’t afford it, he said I would have to work for his boss to pay for the car.

"I told him I wanted to see and beg his boss, but he only told

to wait for his call."

Everyone in the room, including the security guard, was thoroughly confused.

Before Robin could ask, Gladys continued,

"He never took my number or asked for my address, but two months later, I was sent your picture with instructions. I was also sent this woman’s picture." She pointed at Sabrina. "And I was inford that she shouldn’t be there when I perform the instruction."

Sabrina understood from Gladys’ confession why she froze at the sight of her. Robin’s mind raced as he thought about who could be behind this.

The fear in Gladys’ eyes made him doubt that she was lying. He felt a sense of fear in his heart, thinking about the possibility of Martin being involved, but he quickly brushed it aside.

The general’s bodyguards must have betrayed him, but it would take ti for Martin or Mara to recover from the torture the general had inflicted on them before they could buy over the bodyguards.

Robin contemplated the potential enemies, wondering if Shandra and her father were behind it. He would have to confirm this after speaking with her.

"I have a secret cara on my blazer. He must be watching everything that happens here. He instructed

to seduce you and sleep with you, but I need to make sure she isn’t present," Gladys confessed.

Robin furrowed his brow, frustrated that he was being monitored by an unknown enemy.

However, one thing was clear to him - his enemies always hid because they feared him.

If not, they would confront him openly. The only thing Robin feared was anything that could harm his relationship with Sabrina.

As he pondered, an idea crossed his mind, but he hoped Sabrina would agree to it.

"Where do you live?" Robin asked Gladys.

"I live in California, but he provided everything I needed to be here. After eting the driver once, I never saw him again. Everything, including my flight ticket and hotel details, is always delivered to my doorstep," she explained.

The more the girl revealed, the more mysterious the situation beca, causing Robin a headache.

This person was targeting his relationship with Sabrina, which worried him. Anything else wouldn’t bother him at all.

"Do you have a family?" Robin asked.

Glady’s expression turned grim at the ntion of her family, realizing she might never see her parents and siblings again.

"Yes, but for over a month now, when he was preparing

to et you and sending

information about you, he warned

not to get close to them," she replied.

Robin grew frustrated as the situation beca increasingly perplexing. Sabrina had lost interest in the conversation, as it seed to be going in circles.

"How long have you been in this situation?" Robin inquired. If it had only been a few weeks, it could be Martin. If not, he would have to consider other possibilities.

"Two months, but you weren’t the first person he sent

to," the girl revealed, sparking hope in Robin’s eyes.

If he knew who this person was, it would be easier to identify the enemy.

"Who was it?" he asked earnestly. The girl pursed her lips and replied,

"A drug dealer."

Robin’s expression dulled with disappointnt because he didn’t know any drug dealers.

"He made

set him up and got him arrested. Then he said that after I succeed with yours, he would give

back my freedom," the girl added.

"What if you don’t succeed?" Robin asked curiously, and even Sabrina’s interest peaked at this point.

"He would kill ," the girl said. Sabrina froze, fearing who this enemy could be. The person was ruthless and mysterious.

"As soon as I failed, I knew I was on death row, so I decided to tell the truth before I die," she confessed emotionlessly.

Robin wasn’t heartless; he realized she was just a victim of circumstance. He felt the need to protect her.

"Give

the secret caras," he ordered. The girl removed all the caras she knew about and handed them over to him.

There was a total of five, and they were tiny. Robin picked up the phone and called Daniel. He had gone to pick up Lizzy from work and was not far from Robin’s office.

After Robin explained the situation to him, Daniel agreed to stop by with Lizzy.

With Daniel there, Robin felt less worried and thought Sabrina should rest in a more comfortable place since she was dozing off.

"My queen, if you’re tired, you and Lizzy can rest inside," he suggested.

Sabrina yawned and asked, "Where?"

She didn’t know of any restful place in the office except the sofa. Robin didn’t know how to explain it, so he said,

"You can take a look there." He stood up and opened the door to the inner room, where he used to sleep.

As Sabrina approached him, she couldn’t help but ask, "Isn’t it a washroom?"

"Please check it out," Robin forced a smile and said.

When Sabrina opened the door, she couldn’t help but exclaim, "Wow!"

Lizzy joined her. "It’s so cozy, and those pictures are beautiful," Lizzy exclaid with excitent as they walked in, admiring the pictures instead of sleeping.

"Dan, can you deactivate the hidden caras before I ask her the next question?" Robin asked, as he figured out a way to uncover whoever was behind this mystery.
