Chapter 336: Chapter 336 – Brina, did sobody die?

Matilda’s hands balled into fists as regret filled her heart. She feared living alone and didn’t want to return to her father’s house.

She was also sure that her relationship with Devin would never be the sa after what happened. She took his love for granted, and he finally gave up on her.

She suddenly felt hungry but rembered that her food was still in the car, so she went to get cereal from the kitchen.

As she ate, calls began to flood in from her school colleagues, but she did not answer even one. After having her al, she muted the phone and slept on the sofa.

Hours later, she woke up, but there was no sign of Devin. Checking the ti, she had slept for eight hours, and it was already night.

She called his number, but it was switched off. Matilda was disturbed, feeling uneasy, as Devin’s phone had never gone off before, and he never stayed out late without her.

While waiting, she fell asleep again, but by the ti she woke up, it was already dawn, and still, there was no sign of Devin.

Left with no choice, Matilda picked up her phone and dialed Sabrina’s number.

"Sabrina, Devin found out I was going to get an abortion. He locked

in the penthouse since yesterday and has not returned."

"Calm down and talk to ," Sabrina said softly, allowing the sleep to clear from her eyes and careful not to wake Robin because he cared for her needs throughout the night.

However, her voice still woke Robin due to how sensitive he had beco because of her condition.

"I finally decided and got an appointnt at the clinic to get the abortion done, but he appeared from nowhere."

"We had an argunt, and he left the house but hasn’t returned since yesterday morning," Matilda explained, but there was no remorse in her voice concerning the abortion she wanted.

Sabrina was disappointed but did not state it imdiately, instead saying,

"Chill out. He might just be trying to cool off or sothing. I will get through to him, but will you still abort it?" she asked earnestly.

Matilda paused a little before responding,

"I don’t know, but am I a bad person? He said that I wasn’t the woman he fell in love with." There was pain in her voice as she recalled those words, but Sabrina did not feel sorry for her.

"That ans he’s extrely hurt. I did not expect you to take that decision, and I told you to inform him about it."

Matilda was still not sorry, but she was worried about Devin. At first, she thought he would cool off and return, but since he hadn’t, she couldn’t help it.

"I knew he wouldn’t allow it."

"And you think he would be happy if he finds out about it later?" Sabrina asked sarcastically. Matilda could not answer the question, and Sabrina added,

"I don’t know the kind of friends you t at school, but honestly, you have changed," Sabrina said, ending the call.

She rembered that Matilda was different when they were together and still the sa when they lived together at the penthouse and mansion.

However, Sabrina knew Matilda’s new acquaintances influenced this change because the latter would always do anything to fit in, forgetting that she was above the people she was trying to fit in with.

"What happened?" Robin asked her, not liking her sunken mood."

Sabrina swallowed the pain and explained to Robin,

"Devin caught up to her at the abortion clinic. He locked her in the penthouse since yesterday morning and hasn’t returned."

Robin knew that Devin would find out, but he never thought it would be at the last mont, and hearing the abortion clinic ant that Matilda was going ahead to do as she wanted.

Robin was disappointed and thought of ways to locate Devin’s whereabouts since he hadn’t heard from him since they left the mansion a few days ago.

"Does he have other houses?" Robin asked, and Sabrina nodded her head before saying thoughtfully,

"Yes, but I don’t have the address."

"Friends?" Robin asked again, and Sabrina raked her mind; only one na sat there.

"The only friend he had was Martin."

"Call Lizzy and find out if he has been at the office," Robin instructed before reaching for his phone to call Daniel.

He hated that he only called Daniel when there was a problem, but that was what friendship ant for good and bad tis.

Sabrina nodded in agreent, chastising herself for not thinking in that direction.

"You are right."

Sabrina put a call through to Lizzy, and she answered groggily. "Brina, did sobody die?"

Sabrina chuckled at her sleepy response and asked her,

"Liz, you are funny. Where is Devin?"

"He should be at ho. He dropped

at ho after we closed from work. He didn’t look good, but he said he was fine."

"It was the first ti he even dressed casually to work..." Lizzy was explaining in a sleepy voice at the end of the line before recalling sothing and asking,

"Wait, why are you asking?"

Sabrina pursed her lips and began to explain,

"He didn’t go ho because he argued with Matilda."

"Sweetheart, who are you speaking with? Co back to bed," a male voice rang behind Lizzy; Sabrina was shocked.

"I thought you said he dropped you at ho?" Sabrina asked, recognizing Daniel’s voice.

Lizzy smiled and said, "Daniel picked

up later."

Hearing Sabrina question Lizzy about her whereabouts, Robin was suspicious and asked since the phone was not on speaker.

"Is she with Daniel? His number is switched off," he said.

"Robin wants to speak to Daniel," Sabrina said to Lizzy on the phone; she instantly gave her phone to Daniel after a curt response,

"Okay."

Sabrina gave the phone to Robin and went to the bathroom to pee. By the ti she ca out, Robin was dressed.

"My queen, Daniel tracked him to one of the clubs. I will go and bring him."
