Chapter 301: Chapter 301 – Being there for each other.
"You an she actually asked you to leave
for one billion? What did you say?" Robin interrupted Sabrina’s narration of her conversation with Shandra.
Sabrina had already promised to be honest with Robin and couldn’t back out now. Nevertheless, Robin was taken aback by the unexpected turn of events and was eager to hear the outco.
"I told her that I would, but only if she could offer
a zillion instead, considering that you are worth more than a billion," Sabrina replied honestly.
Robin couldn’t help but chuckle, a mixture of amusent and pain crossing his face.
He regretted not taking the ti to truly understand this woman when she was his wife, realizing now that she possessed an intriguing skill for negotiation.
"Who has that kind of money?" he asked, shaking his head.
Sabrina smiled and nodded in agreent, saying,
"Exactly. So, when she proved she couldn’t afford it, I told her she needed to pay
for my ti. I charge 100k for every ten minutes, so since she took up 50 minutes of my ti, she owes
500k. Until she pays up, you shouldn’t engage in any business transactions with her," Sabrina said seriously.
Robin nodded in agreent, already considering canceling his business dealings with Shandra for the sake of his sanity.
Sabrina’s suggestion only solidified his decision, since losing a few dollars would be much better than losing Sabrina because of such a stubborn woman.
However, another thought crossed his mind. Should he hire a bodyguard to keep won like her away?
It sounded pleasing, but Robin didn’t even like being driven around, so how could he settle for a bodyguard?
For the few days he was going to spend at ho and be driven around, he wasn’t even happy with it.
Still, due to his condition, he would have to endure it until he felt better.
"I’m honestly surprised by how you handled her. I thought she might say sothing to upset you," Robin said sincerely, his fears dissipating.
Sabrina smiled in agreent before honestly stating,
"She did, but I had already decided not to get upset, so I didn’t. Now, let
call the doctor to check on you so you can rest well," Sabrina concluded.
She was pleasantly surprised by how quickly their relationship improved, allowing them to speak openly about their concerns.
This second chance brought them closer than ever before, and she was grateful for it.
As she had suspected, Robin agreed to cancel his business transactions with Shandra until she paid Sabrina 500k.
Sabrina didn’t actually want the money, but saw it as a way to ensure that Shandra would never be able to get close to her again.
"I was bored when you left, so I already had the doctor co see ," Robin admitted apologetically, noticing her determination to have him checked.
Although disappointed to have missed it, Sabrina still felt that she would have tomorrow to confirm with the doctor if everything was okay before Robin was discharged.
"So how are you feeling now?" She asked Robin, curious if he was experiencing any discomfort. Robin smiled, his heart swelling every ti she showed concern for him.
"I feel good, thanks to you," he replied gratefully.
Sabrina was relieved that he was comfortable but felt it was ti for him to rest.
"You should get so sleep then."
Robin pouted and shifted slightly. "Co and lie beside ."
Sabrina shook her head, intending to sleep in the chair and not share the patient’s bed. It wasn’t allowed, after all.
"Robin, this is a hospital," she said seriously, but he shook his head in disagreent, reminding her,
"And this is a VIP ward. If you won’t lie beside , then let’s keep talking until morning."
Sabrina felt trapped by his request, wondering when Robin had beco so attached to her. She asked in an amused tone,
"Robin, when did you beco like this?"
Robin smiled and replied,
"I guess you should tell . I don’t know what you’ve done to , but I can’t imagine my life without you by my side."
Sabrina felt flattered and couldn’t say that he was joking, as he had always made such comnts to her since he expressed his intentions.
Giving in to his request, she agreed,
"Alright. Let
shower first."
Robin nodded in agreent, and she went to shower, purposely taking longer than usual.
However, when she returned, she noticed that his eyes were wide open, like that of a hawk, eagerly waiting for her.
Sabrina had changed into a loose nightie that concealed her bump perfectly, causing Robin to frown slightly.
He knew that Lizzy always chose clothes that hid Sabrina’s bump, but since they were in the hospital, it was acceptable.
For now, he wanted to recover in order to confront Martin, Mara, Zayla, and her father together.
"I thought you would be sleeping," Sabrina remarked, and Robin shook his head, explaining,
"I assud you wouldn’t join , so I waited." Sabrina smiled and asked,
"Don’t you need to use the bathroom?"
"Now that you ntion it, I suppose I should," Robin agreed, as they were about to go to sleep.
Sabrina assisted him to the bathroom and unzipped his pants for him. After he finished, she helped him back to bed and zipped him up.
"I still think I should be the one taking care of you," Robin said, settling back onto the bed.
He didn’t like the idea of Sabrina taking care of him in her condition and planned to return the favor once he felt better.
"Don’t worry. I’ve heard that the third trister is the most stressful. I’ll be more dependent on you then," Sabrina reassured him, causing a smile to spread across his face.
He was also looking forward to seeing her bump grow bigger by then.
"And I promise to be there for you," he said sincerely, and Sabrina smiled, knowing he ant every word.
They both lay on the hospital bed, unable to hold her bump like they usually would due to Robin’s injuries, but they found comfort in each other’s presence as they drifted off to sleep.
The following day, after Sabrina gave him a sponge bath in the morning, they completed the necessary check-ups and paperwork for Robin’s discharge.
With his dications in hand, they made their way to the maternity ward.
Once at the gynecologist’s office, Sabrina underwent a series of tests, all of which yielded great results.
Impressed, the doctor asked, "Your pregnancy is progressing healthily. Would you like to know the sex of the babies?"
