Chapter 288: Chapter 288 – Robin, I knew you would co.

Sabrina noticed that the woman who had entered before Martin seed upset, and she wondered about her connection to the situation involving the brother and sister.

However, Martin soon made a discovery.

Robin had claid that Mara was responsible for killing his parents, so Martin was curious about how he knew.

Surprisingly, Sabrina now found herself saying the sa thing.

"Sabrina, where did you hear this nonsense? Did Robin tell you?" Martin asked, disappointnt evident in his voice.

Sabrina was amazed at his level of ignorance.

"I never discuss you or Mara when I’m with Robin. We already have enough to talk about regarding ourselves. Your sister, or should I say your girlfriend," Sabrina corrected herself based on Mara’s confession, and continued, "She confessed everything to ."

"What on earth are you talking about?" Martin refused to believe Sabrina’s words, as he had heard the sa story from Robin before.

He feared that Sabrina might sohow be in communication with Robin through a secret device he knew nothing about.

Thus, Martin grew suspicious of her, but Sabrina did not back down. She said,

"Ask her. She told

about how she drugged and slept with you. She’s even pregnant. If you don’t believe , get a test kit and do a pregnancy test," Sabrina snapped, still managing to keep herself free from his sight.

"Mara, what is she talking about?" Martin asked, but Mara was at a loss for words. Her mind froze, and she had no more excuses to defend herself from the ss she had created.

Anna, who had already profited greatly from Mara, saw an opportunity to earn even more and chid in,

"Sir, I believe this mistress is spreading lies to create confusion between you and your sister."

However, her words only drew Martin’s attention to her, as she had been the one taking care of Mara for years.

Martin asked sternly, "Anna, how long have you known that Mara could walk?"

Anna instantly paled and could no longer speak. She suddenly blurted out,

"Sir, Mr. Jewel and the General’s n are almost here. We should leave imdiately."

She was attempting to divert Martin’s attention from the question, and Mara was pleased with her effort.

Sabrina’s face lit up with joy as soon as she heard that Robin was nearby.

anwhile, Martin had a change of plans and declared,

"Yes, we are leaving, but you are not coming with us. You knew all along and kept it between the two of you. You’re just lucky that I don’t have ti for you, but for now, you’re fired. Now get out."

"Martin!" Mara exclaid, not wanting to be separated from her nanny and ally, but Martin interrupted her by saying,

"We’ll discuss this later. Since you can walk, lead the way."

Anna couldn’t let things go and spoke up when she reached the door.

"Sir, that woman is lying. Mara only wanted to surprise you with her legs. There’s nothing more to it. It’s because you kept talking about Miss Jas so much that she held back from telling you."

When Sabrina realized that the woman’s words were starting to convince Martin and his gaze was softening towards her, she interrupted, saying,

"Martin, you’re surrounded by unfaithful won. Just as you were faking being nice to , they were secretly plotting against you," Sabrina added, "Mara confessed that you two aren’t actually siblings. She planned to kill

before you arrived and spilled everything, thinking I wouldn’t be alive to tell you."

Mara’s anger towards Sabrina was reaching its boiling point as she desperately sought a second chance to eliminate her once and for all.

She was determined that if the opportunity presented itself again, she wouldn’t waste any ti talking and would instead pull the trigger to end it all.

In a panic, she rembered the gun and considered hiding it, but with Martin’s intense gaze fixed on her, it seed impossible.

"She confessed to killing her parents and yours. She also admitted to sleeping with you and being pregnant. You witnessed her attempt to stab

with a knife. I won’t say you saved my life because you’re the one who put

in this vulnerable situation," Sabrina said, her hand no longer restrained by the belt as she searched for an opportunity to escape.

anwhile, Martin turned to Mara and pleaded, "Mara, please tell

this isn’t true."

Martin was deeply upset by how he was being made to see Mara as a vulnerable sister when all she had ever done was betray him.

Mara’s voice grew stronger as she spoke up, determined to defend herself.

"I have loved you since we were kids, but all you ever thought about was her," Mara confessed.

"But you are my sister," Martin said, his heart breaking because of how he trusted her.

However, Mara shook her head in annoyance and yelled, "Stop calling

that. I’m not your sister, and everything I did was because I loved you. Yes, I’m pregnant with your child."

Martin’s heart shattered, and his face drained of color. He had spent his entire life sacrificing everything for Mara, believing she was vulnerable and paralyzed. Little did he know, she was actually a deceitful snake.

In that mont, he realized he had unknowingly raised another evil snake, which had now co back to harm him.

Sabrina, who had been trying to divert his attention towards Mara, spoke mockingly,

"See? Since you found your beloved, isn’t this a happy reunion?"

Mara’s alarm suddenly beeped, causing her face to turn pale. It was a clear indication that sothing was terribly wrong.

"Martin, our security has been breached. This place is no longer safe."

Upon hearing those words, Sabrina’s breathing returned to normal and she felt in her heart that it was indeed Robin.

Martin, on the other hand, was struck with confusion as he never expected to be found.

He quickly instructed Anna to take care of the maids and told Mara that they would have a lot to discuss once everything was over.

As Martin moved to cut the belt, Sabrina was already at the wardrobe door. However, before she could open it, Martin caught up to her and forcefully pulled her by the hair, his eyes filled with anger.

"Do you really think you can escape?" he seethed, his voice dripping with rage.

Sabrina winced as she felt her scalp burn from his tight grip.

"Martin, you’re hurting ," she managed to say through teary eyes. Martin felt a pang of remorse, but he did not apologize.

Instead, he loosened his grip on Sabrina’s hair and grabbed her arm, while using his other arm to hold onto Mara.

"You’ll never see Robin again once we cross that door," he declared, causing a tear to slip down Sabrina’s cheek. She couldn’t help but feel that Robin had arrived too late.

However, just as Martin took a step forward, the door swung open with force, and a powerful punch sent him stumbling backwards, seeing stars.

Sabrina’s heart leaped as she saw the person behind the punch, and she imdiately embraced

ed him tightly.

"Robin, I knew you would co," she whispered with relief.
