Chapter 238: Chapter 238 – Please Robin, it has nothing to do with

"Yes, sir," the waiter said and hastened away but Zayla could already guess what Robin wanted to do with the ice water and pleaded,

"Please let

wake him."

Robin glared at her with disgust, she felt as if she was covered in poo.

"Do you think you have the audacity to do so? Don’t forget that you are also on trial but as we wait for the ice water, the question I have for you is, how did you plan everything with your father?" He asked with a grim expression.

Zayla went silent in thought, wondering if it was right to expose all that her father did but Robin was one who usually kept his word so she decided to strike a bargain with him, though she was afraid.

"Do you promise to not press charges if I tell you the whole truth?" She lowered her head and asked him, Robin glared at her once again for a mont, thinking about paying her back in her own coin.

Zayla treated him with deceit so it would not be wrong for him to use the sa approach on her.

As it’s said, what you sow is what you reap, and treat others the way you want to be treated.

In this matter, Robin would have to allow her to have a taste of how deception feels like.

"If you answer every question truthfully without being forced with slaps, I would consider it," he said but the audience was displeased with this arrangent.

Whereas, Daniel smiled internally, knowing that Robin would not let the bitch off the hook.

Zayla began to confess with her head lowered and no one asked her to raise it anyway because of how ugly she already looked from how ssed up her makeup was and how her swollen face made it worse.

"My father said that he was a friend of your father before and he saw the diamonds. He also said that your father sold part of it to start the company and after it was successful, he bought it back and must have been duped at the ti he went to buy it back."

Cobby had so questions to ask Robin about this diamond of a thing but felt that the ti was not right. Maybe he should hold on until the party is over.

"Is that all?" Robin asked unamused since he already knew that part.

Also, he was happy to have hidden the part of the real diamonds just by the expression on the faces of so people in the audience at the ntion of it.

Zayla swallowed hard and contemplated on if she should let out the next information as she looked at her father lying on the floor beside her again.

Feeling that if she left it out and her father confessed it, Robin would use it against her to go back on his promise rather than decide to confess it all, hoping to save both herself and her father.

"He also said that he gave your mother slow poison when she found out that my father had eyes on the diamonds."

Robin pretended as if he was hearing it for the first ti and froze.

The auditorium was in chaos as the security had to stop the audience from throwing their bottles and glass at her and the man lying on the floor from the confession.

A tear dropped from Sabrina’s eyes at the confession of Kennedy’s involvent in Robin’s mother’s death.

The woman had died before she knew Robin but his father had told Sabrina a lot about his late wife by then.

He also inford her about how it was not easy for Robin to get over it because of how close he was to his mother.

Sotis when Sabrina felt like giving up on the marriage, thinking that Robin would never change, she would rember those words by his father and have second thoughts, understanding that Robin needed help and could change.

It took everything in Cobby to not instruct Robin to kill the father and daughter, rembering how Ronald never moved on from his late wife, just like Cobby.

It was one of the things that bound them together and the general was now understanding the reason why Robin made ntion of killing soone and spreading their body parts across the continent.

There was chaos in the auditorium, as so of the audience boldly said,

"Mr. Jewel made the promise but we as the judges would also make ours separately. She cannot escape a jail term."

"She has to die with her father," another one said.

Matilda was saddened for Robin and wished that Sabrina could forgive him as a way to comfort him since he already suffered so much and was only deceived.

Devin was even more sorry for Robin, regretting being so judgntal of him in the beginning.

The guy swam in money and walked with his head high but internally, he was equally broken because of deception.

Lizzy was so shocked, she went numb and as for Aria, she only kept shaking her head.

Robin was happy with the confession since he had proof now and would only have to get the old man to admit it as well.

Whereas Zayla was afraid of the angry stares pinned on her that she feared Robin was going change his mind about the promise he made just now and continuously begged him,

"Please Robin, it has nothing to do with ."

At this ti, she realized it would be useless to plead on behalf of her father and rather plead on her own behalf so that being granted pardon, she could not plead on behalf of her father but with everything going on, she had no idea what Robin was thinking.

Robin was about to speak at the sa ti the waiter returned with a glass of iced water with the ice cubes visible in the transparent glass since he thought that Robin was going to drink it.

"Sir, the iced water please."
