Chapter 220: [Bonus Chapter]Chapter 220 - Robin, can I hug you?

At the ntion of the money, Zayla’s eyes were as wide as saucers.

"The five million?" She tried to confirm and asked, Robin felt bitter.

The signs were glaring but he closed his eyes to them.

Now, he learned his lesson, feeling like a different person and would never be toiled with again.

"Yes," he agreed and Zayla asked,

"What do I have to do?"

If it was about the money, then she was willing to do anything.

She just knew that she had to do anything to escape, especially when her movents were now restricted and she also did not have access to Robin’s money to pay people to give her information about Sabrina.

It would be impossible for soone to fake even the antenatal report for her since she did not have the money to pay.

The worst part of the whole thing was, she would also not be able to pay anyone to steal Sabrina’s baby for her when he or she was born, and neither would she be able to arrange for it with Robin restricting her movents like this.

Zayla might be dumb sotis but this danger was so glaring that she did not need anyone to warn her about it.

"It’s Sabrina’s birthday on Saturday at the Crystal Hotel. She doesn’t have many friends so I want you and your father to co."

Zayla could feel the color draining from her face.

Perhaps her ti of being locked away from the world allowed her to take account of her life, taking into consideration all that she did against Sabrina.

It was evident that Sabrina always won and stole the lilight from her.

Even as Robin’s ex-wife, she still occupied a special place in his heart.

Zayla knew that for her sanity, it was better to not get close to Sabrina, especially when it was her birthday and her being the star of the occasion.

"Robin, I don’t want to attend your ex-wife’s birthday party. You have more ti for her than you do for ," she lowered her head and said but Robin was not going to let her get away, and neither did he want to force her so he tactically said,

"I will have ti for you now. From today. The pressure has reduced in the office so starting from tomorrow, I will spend the night here."

Spending the night there was to ensure that he carried every evidence he needed since they were all in the penthouse and also, to take her to the party himself, alongside her father.

"You promise?"

Zayla bead, as she asked the question, Robin forced another smile, though all he wanted was to drain the life out of her instantly but how then would the world know about the truth of the matter?

"Why not?" He asked rhetorically, Zayla was filled with warmth.

She could not understand Robin’s temperants but liked it when he was not so cold towards her.

"Okay. I will speak to my dad."

Robin felt her father might refuse due to what he did to him the last ti and thought to add a warning.

"Tell him that if he doesn’t do

the favor and attend, then I won’t give the five million anymore. In short, I won’t give him anything at all."

The subtle threat was enough to break all of Zayla’s defenses, compelling her to surrender once again,

"Okay."

Robin looked at the ti on his wristwatch, grimaced, and said,

"Let

complete what I am doing in the office. I will see you tomorrow in the evening."

Zayla agreed and Robin was walking back to the door when she asked behind him,

"Robin, can I hug you?"

Before Robin could create an excuse to say no, she wrapped her arms tightly around him from the back, Robin stiffened and his anger boiled.

He did not hug her back but as soon as she pulled away, he walked away.

He did not look back but reaching his office, he removed the clothes he wore and dropped them all in the bin.

It was as if she was so kind of plague and he was afraid of being infested.

When he was done, he went to the bathroom and scrapped himself as if infected by a virus and as he lay in his small bed, he did not turn off the lights, so he could gaze at Sabrina’s pictures until he drifted to sleep.

That is why it has been for him ever since he made that room in his office his bedroom and he has slept peacefully since.

The next day, he went to visit Sabrina in the house with the secretary he got for her because he wanted the spy to know her house for which reason he did so.

Sabrina, knowing that she wouldn’t go to work, did not plan to wake up early but when the maid went to call her, she felt that Robin had forgotten she wouldn’t go to work, for which reason he ca and thought to go and remind him.

She looked dazed in her pajamas and kept yawning when she went to where Robin usually pulled over every ti he picked her up and dropped her.

It beca his usual spot such that they always left it for him.

"Robin, I’m not going to work today," she yawned and spoke.

As to whether or not she saw the woman beside Robin, no one could tell since she only focused on Robin at that mont.

"It doesn’t stop

from checking on you and the baby," Robin smiled and said, Sabrina smiled a little in return, feeling like she was losing her sleep which she did not want to.

She had to go back to continue her sleep for at least two hours before Matilda returned with the beautician. As for Lizzy, she was still sleeping as a result of exhaustion.

"We are fine as you can see."

When she lifted her hand to cover her lips from letting out another yawn, the shirt of her pajamas lifted, exposing her small bump.

Robin’s widened instantly and he asked,

"Can I touch it? I miss them so much!"
